Broadstone Corsair

I just met a new resident this week and thought it would be helpful to share my thoughts so everyone can benefit from a one year resident’s take on Broadstone Corsair. I moved to Broadstone July 2015. The one thing to keep in mind is.. .apartment living is apartment living. I am retired Navy and have lived in more apartments than I care to count. There is only so much management can do lawfully to keep unconscious residents from breaking rules. Some people have no shame about their bad behavior.
I have reported a few disturbing actions to BC and have been VERY pleased with the actions the Broadstone Corsair team has taken in response. The BC team has contacted me or addressed me while i was picking up a package at the office concerning my reported issue as a follow up. I HAVE NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE BEFORE so, I was thoroughly impressed and believe they care about my living experience here.
I receive the group emails a few times a month reminding residents of the rules and courteous practices outlined in the LEASE WE ALL MUST SIGN. Incredible this has to be done. I do not understand why someone would chose to live in a beautiful, high-​end community only to treat it like a dump.
I know there are not security cameras everywhere, but know this Broadstone Corsair residents, we all have cameras on our phones and those who trashed the Zen Garden fire pit last night with marshmallows and ash marks from your burnt sticks IN A GAS FIRE PIT.. .a picture of your group was sent to the front office this morning. While your actions may not be enough to kick you out, your lease doesn’t have to be renewed either.

Very misleading, looked nice and well kept when i was shown the apartment. After living here there are constant issues. Animal waste is always in the hallways and stairwells. Even after reporting, it takes days before it is cleaned and nothing is done to prevent it from happening again. The parking garage is a huge hassle and is always full on the weekends for both guests and residents. Very unsafe community with hardly any security cameras to monitor the property. I had a problem with a resident threatening my guest and nothing could be done because there were no cameras in the area. Very disappointed with Broadstone Corsair and its management after having moved in.

have been living here for over a year now. i think most of the reviewers have pretty well explained the positive things about living here.
really have two issues that prevent me giving this 5 stars.
1. floors are very thin. can hear conversations above us. our neighbors seem to love pacing back and forth, running around chasing around their dogs; randomly dropping heavy objects on the floor, dragging furniture. We have complained multiple times to management, have called security, sadly the apartment above us is part of a corporate account and the previous tenants were just as bad. if not worse. i don’t expect it to ever get better. will post videos soon. if you’re going to consider living here, think about living on the 4^th floor before you lock into your lease. really its like an earthquake. its 12:30am, tonight we asked security twice to speak with the tenants. its still going on… so yes they are the reason i’m writing this review. what good is a home if you cant get some decent sleep?
2. management likes to have music speakers blaring outside of the common areas during business hours in an attempt to create a sort of white noise to block out the street traffic along Aero, This means if you live near these areas be prepared to possibly hear music inside your apartment starting as early as 8am. The speakers in the Gym/​Yoga room also seem to be in Sync with a set of speakers out in the courtyard/​walkway area, if someone decides they want to work out at 6am and crank up the music, you get to hear it as well.
*UPDATE* the music situation has improved recently. I will say one thing, Management here is sympathetic to complaints. the upstairs neighbors though… wow.

I came here for an event, we had some small eats and some nice beverages in the clubhouse. The clubhouse is nice and very open. The clubhouse opens to a full deck and onto the swimming pool. The party had a nice ambience to it. The residents seem to be very happy tenants, I talked to a couple of them. The pool is quite large, lighted at night. The pool is heated to an average of 72 degrees. Around the complex the décor is upbeat and the colors set a relaxing tone. Also houses a fabulous gym for the tenants and their visitors.

I was able to visit Broadstone at the Elite Unilocal event. Otherwise, I’ve never heard of the place! I’m glad I was able to come and take a tour. The amenities are ridiculous, however you definitely pay it in cost. A one bedroom ‘starts’ at $ 2,000 and a two bedroom ‘starts’ at $ 2,400. You get a game room, resort style pool and jacuzzi access, «cabanas» or day beds, parking, a gym, and they host socials for their residents.
We viewed a two bedroom apartment and it was pretty amazing. You can set your doorbell to play 5 songs from your playlist. There is a wine fridge already installed in your kitchen. One room is set up like a master bedroom with a bathroom and the other room is across the other side of the living room with the bathroom in the hallway.
After visiting you really want to live there! The only down side is the location. Aero Drive isn’t the most glamorous part of town but they sure make you feel like you are while living there.

I can’t say enough great things about the staff here and the overall quality of life here. The leasing agents and especially property manager is very very helpful with literally anything that comes up. Apartments are clean and very updated. Not a noisy place, but people still have fun, neighbors are very friendly. Just great, really and truly.

We moved in to Broadstone Corsair in June of 2015. After 5 months of living here, I can say that we absolutely still LOVE living here.
When we first came to look at the property we met with Mary Cummings and she was professional, friendly, helpful, understanding, and patient from the start! She took her time showing us around and answering all of our MANY questions. She even showed us the apartment we were most interested in a second time at the end of the tour. We had to leave before getting a chance to discuss the details. But we came back later that day and she showed us the unit AGAIN and went over all the details with us. Even though we kept her way past closing she was more than happy to help us in our decision by answering our questions. She was never pushy and over the next month was never annoyed by our indecisiveness! My husband even went back to take measurements for me and she helped him do the measurements!
Our move went smoothly and we had use of the elevator all day, which was a saving grace since it rained on our move day! There was a great welcome basket in our apartment when we moved in, which was such a nice touch. Mary made sure that our apartment was cleaned multiple times before we moved in due to the construction dust. She did a walk through and noticed that after some painting had been completed it needed another cleaning and was proactive in making sure it was completed.
The features in our apartment make it feel like a home rather than apartment living and we love the little touches like the lighting, the flooring, the huge soaking tubs, and the color combinations make feel warm and welcoming. Our friends and family love to come and visit us, because they say it feels like staying in a resort. The kitchen has a reverse osmosis system, the drawers are soft close and the dishwasher is so quiet (how unusual for an apartment!).
The apartment complex is quiet and maintained on a daily basis. The maintenance staff is quick to respond whether it is a problem in the apartment or around the community. They will send someone out as soon as possible which is always re-​assuring.
The amenities are above and beyond. We always feel like we don’t have to leave to have a great night (a great way to save money!). We have hosted game nights in the game room, parties in the clubhouse, BBQ’s by the pool and a glass of wine by the fire in the zen garden to name a few. The gym is my favorite room in the community (my husband’s favorite is the simulated golf room). The gym is well maintained and clean. I never have to wait for equipment because there are plenty of options, including the yoga studio with on-​demand fitness classes.
We have rented out the clubhouse on a few occasions, and Mary and the staff has always made sure we had everything we needed to ensure we had a flawless event. The staff is always on point! We have even asked them to take packages to our apartment when we had a delivery but were not going to be home before they closed at 6, and they did it without any hesitation! That is definitely going above and beyond their job.
We also love the dog friendly community and have made friends with many of the other dog owners in the community and our dogs have made friends too :)
I would highly recommend Broadstone Corsair to anyone that is looking. We have been so happy here and plan to be for a long time.

As renters at the property, here’s the low-​down:
–Apartment–
Top of the line kitchen and baths with high end finishes. There are three style packages to choose from. All are nice. Layouts are open with emphasis on the kitchens. Some two bedroom floor plans would be better with a walk-​in shower; all have soaker tubs which are sort of impractical. Every unit has a partially enclosed balcony.
–Amenities–
There are loads of them, some of them novelty, but a few of them are home runs. The pool and spa area are true luxury. The club house is enormous and very well designed with community activities twice a month. The gym is as functional as a complex gym could be. The yoga room, kettles bells and ropes are nice touches.
–Staff–
They really shine here. Our experience with the staff has been a dream. Everyone greets you with a smile and seems genuinely happy to be working there. We don’t know the gentlemen in the office terribly well, but Mary is a godsend. She is extremely attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and — most importantly — hilarious. She helped us find the best apartment for us, and provided meaningful and honest feedback on our questions. Her warmth and personality had maybe more influence than they should have on us choosing Broadstone.
– Neighborhood –
Not a whole lot to say, except that it’s got great Asian food and is close to all major freeways.
– Price –
Certainly not cheap for the neighborhood, but a steal compared to comparable properties.
We are really happy after being here six months. Hope the info was helpful!

Best way to welcome someone to SD by moving in here as there first residence. Our experience here has been nothing but the best from this resort style home of ours.

I am not a resident of Broadstone Corsair, but it would definitely be one of my top choices if I ever decide to move to San Diego! I had the pleasure of staying at this complex when I visited my nephew, his wife and their dog! They graciously let me sleep on the couch for 4 days during my vacation here. But even though I had to sleep on the sofa, I felt like I was staying at a luxury hotel!
This 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment was extremely nice inside. Spacious, high ceilings, relaxing balcony, modern stainless steel kitchen with granite counter tops. Roomy bathrooms with a deep tub and refreshing shower heads. I noticed plenty of closet space, cabinets and other storage places. The appliances were high quality and high tech, including your own full size washer and dryer. Only the best building materials were used in the creation of this apartment complex.
Now for the best of living here… The pool and Jacuzzi areas were absolutely gorgeous with lovely water features and comfortable places to hang out alone or with friends. Barbecues and outside dining near the pool. A large indoor club house offers plenty of amenities to cater your own party or you can just relax on the cushy, comfortable living room furniture and enjoy watching the large flat screen TVs. There is a fully equipped gym, a room to play pool, tennis courts, ping pong, miniature golf, a place to play with your canine companions and even an outdoor bathing area just for your dog! This place is not only pet friendly, but there is also a cool play ground devoted to your kids!
The covered parking garage has 4 levels all monitored and protected with security gates. The surrounding landscapes of the whole complex had eye catching greenery that was beautifully maintained. I could tell nothing but the best was put into every inch of this apartment complex with every kind of amenity, attraction and comfort available that would entice a good and appreciative tenant of never wanting to leave!

Amazing experience so far at broadstone! The staff is amazing and answers all your needs and the maintenance is wonderful. Andrew the head of maintenance is awesome to work with and makes you feel like your needs truly matter. Special shout out to Sean and Corey at the office. They handle all our needs and complaints with glowing responses and management.

It was a long wait, due to construction, to move in but well worth it! I love that everything is available online: payments, maintenance requests and community gatherings. The staff has been great and helpful. Andrew finished all of our maintenance requests very quickly.

Outstanding place to live. The staff remembers you by name and treats everyone like an old friend. The amenities are great. There’s even a golf simulator. The design makes me feel like I’m living in a luxury hotel. Very happy I chose to live here.

It’s been a month and a half since my move in date and I couldn’t be happier, Best decision ever! The staff are professional and it feels like they ready do care about fixing issues when and if they arise. With most issues taken care of the same day. They send emails out with actual information in them, not junk mail that nobody cares about. I’m looking forward to my time here at broadstone Corsair. — 5 stars

I am moving here in a few weeks and the management has been very friendly and willing to help and go out of there way to make sure you had a good tour. The apt is clean and very well organized i am exited to live there

Officially going to move in October 1^st. We weren’t able to acquire the apartment we wanted because of our current apartment move out date. However, Kory kept us updated with what apartments are and were going to be available via emails. With the last two remaining choices (based off our color scheme, layout, etc), we picked a nice apartment by the putting green on a corner. Couldn’t be more happy with the choice, closer to the parking garage, and swimming area. My wife and I are really excited for a change and to move in!

The grand opening party was awsome! Live music, finger foods, seven local breweries, great weather, great people and an incredable apartment complex… pretty much sums it up!
This place is LEED Gold certified which makes it the greenest apartment complex in San Diego county and of course helps us by lower utility bills than anywhere else.
The ammenities… I’m still not sure what all is included but here’s a few. They have the standard conference rooms, satellite office with a couple of computers for residents to us, an incredable state of the art fitness center. Yoga studio up stairs with a golf simulator room also upstairs, a game room with pool table and dart board, a huge heated pool and hot tub, a very large lounge with double sided firelplace, b-​b-​q area and patio seating for year around outdoor dining. They’re still building the lawn bowling, putting green, b-​b-​q patio, playground, dog baths and so much more.
And a parking garage for all the residents… so your car is not sitting out in the sun! OK, enough said. If you’re looking for a place to rent you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not taking a peek at Broadstone Corsair.
I’m attaching photos that I took at the grand opening party. I really can’t wait for them to finish building my apartment… just a few more weeks… WOOHOOOOO!
UPDATE: Well, I’m in and we love our apartment! Much quieter than where we came from.

I’m so glad I can call Broadstone Corsair home! Everything about this place is luxurious and comfortable at the same time. No detail was spared in the creation of this community; from the stainless steel appliances and floor plans, the meticulous landscaping, stunning pool with cabanas and flat screen tvs, game and club rooms, the gym that makes even the highest end health club jealous, to the amazing people who work there, everything is perfect!
My move from across the country was seamless with the help of Mary, my leasing agent. She managed to keep me sane and even accommodated me when I arrived a day ahead of time. I was one of the first residents to move in and I would have never known with how smooth everything went. My dogs and myself were welcomed with big, friendly smiles from everyone, especially Simon, he loves those Bulldogs :)
Broadstone Corsair is beautiful, but it’s the attention to detail and care from the leasing office that really sets it apart: Kory going out of his way to bring my 60lb bag of dog food right up to my door, he and Simon always taking the time to say hi and share some love with my dogs, Michael and Sean always being available for questions from this new San Diegian on where to go and what to do, Mary and Dana with their friendly smiles and helpful attitudes, and Andrew who keeps this place in pristine operation condition, these people make all the difference! (The cabanas and flat screen tvs around the pool don’t hurt either).
Visit Broadstone Corsair and prepare to have your socks knocked off and relax in the lap of luxury!

Broadstone Corsair. I must say that I’m loving my decision. This is my first apartment that I have chosen to live in without a work contract. It’s the new build at 8583 Aero Drive. Even with construction going on I’m happy. Simon was amazing. We met even before the leasing office existed. He stayed in touch just as he said and finally I moved in a few days ago. This apartment was a major downsizing for me. 3 bedroom house to 1 bedroom apartment. Yet I’m so pleased. I feel like I’m coming home to a luxury hotel that’s my home. Things are working themselves out as with all new things but the environment was exactly what I needed. Honest pleasant happy lighthearted and luxury comfort. I know that I’m at the beginning of my journey with this transition from house to apartment. Great start so far. Simon has maintained being positive helpful and is a joy to see. Others. Michael has friendly face and pleasant as well. Mary business positive and new comer Kory. Yes I remember you all by name. I’m impressed by your care and desire to assist in making construction comfortable and grateful for the constant happy spirits while keeping the dream and the vision of my new home as a great option for living. The space is still coming together and you guys has been awesome. I’m sure that things will change daily as construction continue. I’m looking forward to watching the changes and being apart of this amazing living space.
