Coastal Asphalt & Seal

We live in an HOA and gathered several quotes before hiring Justin and his crew to do our driveways. Justin was polite, reasonable, and very responsive to all of our calls and requests. I would highly recommend Justin and his crew.

I needed asphalt torn up and replaced leading into a driveway (not a huge job), and Justin was awesome. He was prompt in returning calls/​texts, which seems to be a rarity in construction, and was very reasonably priced. He was easy to work with, showed up on time, polite and did a great job. Would highly recommend Justin and his crew.

Justin and his team did a small but important resurfacing of my driveway today, and they did a fantastic job! Professional, friendly, and timely. Very competitive pricing for the job as well. We had a small parking area (3 car lot) of approximately 750 sq ft. We got several bids from asphalt companies. Justin at Coastal was the only one who did not recommend tearing out the whole parking area and starting from scratch. He recommended repairing the problem area and then do seal coating. That saved us around $ 2,000−3,000 over the other companies. One company wouldn’t do the job because the parking area is on a steep street. That was laughable! Not everyone lives on level ground. They claimed they could not get equipment up the street. Justin had no issues with our street and in fact it wasn’t even mentioned.
Justin said he would also do the 2 stripes for the 3 parking spots, but ended up sending out a striping company (L&S Striping) to do the stripes. They were great! Not only did they put 2 stripes in, but I asked if they would also put the unit numbers on each parking area and they did at no extra charge. Overall if you want to save money and get a quality job Justin is your guy.

Where Do I start with these guys… one word, Great!!! I am a local liquor store owner in Pacific Beach and I was shopping around for different prices on sealing my parking lot, After shopping around for a little while I stumbled apon Coastal, not only have i heard great things about them, they beat every single estimate that I had received. High Quality work and they knock out the Job quick, ended up getting a seal and re stripping, great work. I highly recommend using COASTAL for your asphalt needs. they wont disappoint

Can’t comment on the actual quality of work. We scheduled a visit for an estimate but no one ever came by, I called back and left a message to find out if what happened and if we could reschedule and no one ever called back.

Wow! These guys are FABULOUS! I got bids from 6 companies. Most of them told me I needed far more done that I did. Justin was wonderful. His price was the lowest, and the quality of work was OUTSTANDING!!! If you need paving or patching, look NOWHERE else. I have already recommeded them to friends! Excellent!!!

I had 13 000 square feet of asphalt to repair and seal at my home (yep, a big property!). I got 3 bids and Justin was not only the lowest, but absolutely the best in all ways — explaining the process, problem-​solving out any questions I had, and doing the work as promised in a timely manner. He and is crew are respectful. He cares about his work — a far cry from some of these bigger companies who pound out the work and exit.
He ran into an issue with the asphalt he received for repair on his first day, and though the work would have been OK, he came back the next day to finesse out the repairs and smooth it out. Wow! The weather started to change on the scheduled time for sealing, and although he could have convinced me it would be OK, he rightfully chose another day more optimum for the sealer to dry.
I work with a lot of companies, both big and small, and I absolutely rank Coastal as top of the list. It is what a small business is all about — excellent customer service, quality of service and a fantastic work ethic and pride of product. I am sooooo pleased!

Justin gave us a very competitive bid for our parking lot project. We are a new restaurant and want our place to look good and be safe. Justin’s work will tie in well with our cement walkways and entrances to our restaurant. He is very skilled and works efficiently. I would recommend him highly.

By far this is a great company that I have had the privilege to get to know, the owner of coastal asphalt and seal is honest and fair. I have read a lot of things about asphalt companies that will say they will do certain things in their bids. like instal 3 inches and only lay 2 inches and save on materials. In my opinion, most home owners don’t understand about the asphalt paving or the seal coating process. I have found that this company not only will talk to you about what you need to do to repair your driveway. They will work with your budget and give you options of priority so you don’t feel like they are there to give you a decent job and on to the next person.
I recommend coastal asphalt and seal to anyone looking to do any repairs to their driveway, or parking lot. again this is a top notch company that has the experience. You can see that in the quality of their work. I’m very satisfied because I have been disappointed in asphalt repair work before.
