Specialties
Dr. Sondra Elson with Compassionate Heart offers a peaceful, private, comfortable alternative for your companion animal’s transition — in home euthanasia. Euthanasia at home for cats and dogs is such a gift.
Dr. Sondra Elson would be honored to make arrangements for dignified body care, in addition to gentle in home euthanasia. We have toured the facility of our respectful crematory partner so you can rest assured your Beloved is in respectful hands. Our Private Cremations are 100% private (not partitioned private). Complimentary paw imprints, euthanasia counseling, consults with a Veterinary Critical Care Specialist for your veterinarian (if needed). No additional surcharges for after-hours, holidays, large dogs or weekends. Available every day.
Meet the Business Owner
Alicia H.
Business Owner
Compassionate Heart was founded by Alicia Harris, DVM, an experienced emergency veterinarian with a vast array of training at acclaimed referral hospitals and animal shelters across the United States. Following her 2001 graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, she completed an internship dedicated to Emergency and Critical Care. Working as an emergency veterinarian throughout the years has allowed her to gain a tremendous amount of experience helping families make end-of-life decisions about their beloved pets.
She founded Compassionate Heart not only to provide in-home euthanasia services to companion animals, but also to raise awareness about the importance of allowing our companion animals to transition at home with dignity.
