I called Luis on a Monday to schedule an estimate for a patio project. We scheduled for a Friday at 10a, and he asked me to text him the details. On the day of the appointment, he texts me 8 minutes before the scheduled time to say he has wet cement in the ground and can’t leave it so he has to cancel. I imagine he would have known about this other project some time between Monday and Thursday. I would have appreciated a little more notice. We will not be rescheduling or using his services for our project.

Wow! Unilocalers are right on this contractor! I’m usually skeptical about 5 star Unilocal review companies but Luis and team just finished up extending my driveway. Work came out beautiful.
They did an excellent job and zero complaints. I like how Luis communicates via text compared to other contractors I reached out too. I won’t say who but there is one I just played email tag back and forth. Some contractors I got zero response back.
Luis met me at my house to assess the project and wrote me quote right there.
Scheduled a time for work and was done before 2pm. Keep in mind some of these contractors are booked weeks in advance so plan accordingly.
I will use Luis again and refer him to my neighbors if they need concrete services.

Luis was a pleasure to work with, from start to finish, at a reasonable price. His crew tore out our old driveway and replaced with a new one with flagstone deco bands. They showed up on time with good attitudes and did everything he said they would do. There was some collateral damage to irrigation systems and established plants, but they fixed them all and even helped replant and water some other plants. When I pointed out some potential future drainage issues, they re-​routed, installed, and dug in drain pipes for no extra charge.
Luis, his brother Abel, and Ysidro performed all the work themselves, to a high standard. The flagstone installation and the driveway came out beautifully. The only problem was that his bank, the B of A, wanted to place a week-​long hold on my non-​local bank check, so it became a cash transaction. No big problem, but be aware that you will need to have a local bank if you plan to pay by check.
They hauled everything away, left the area clean when they were done. Somehow, they managed to work every day without requiring a visit to our toilet…
Call him if you have a project. He will give good advice in a super low-​key, non-​pushy way.

I highly recommend Luis and Concrete Creations. I hired them for a front yard project that most people would consider fairly «major,» involving the excavation of several tons of dirt, regrading of approximately 750 square feet of soil, pouring of a concrete driveway and creation of some small retaining walls. We had done work on our house before, but this was by far the largest project, and I was a bit nervous about how it would go.
I received bids from three different contractors. All of them were knowledgeable, but it was Luis who stood out as the most honest, straight forward and detail oriented. A couple times I asked him about options that would have been more expensive and made Luis more money on the project, but he explained to me why he thought the lower cost options would be better. Luis’ bid was also reasonable. So, we scheduled the project with Luis to start about three weeks later.
For the ten days it took to do the work, Luis and his guys showed up on time every one of them. During the excavation, a valve connecting to the water line cracked. Luis and his guys fixed this immediately at no additional cost (it was not an expensive repair, otherwise I fully would have expected to be charged). Luis came up with design elements as the construction progressed that really impressed me and enhanced the project. Every day, they cleaned up their mess and put away their tools. On trash days, they even rolled out our trash cans, since they were hard for us to get to with the construction.
Of course, the most important thing is the end result and I am beyond pleased with that. We wound up with a gorgeously patterned colored concrete driveway, some very nice retaining walls and concrete steps, a new wood fence and a planted hedge with irrigation, all compliments of Concrete Creations. It is obvious that Luis and his guys know what they are doing and also that their knowledge extends beyond concrete (the wood fence was very well built and his guys set up the irrigation and fixed the water line with no problem). They are easy and pleasant to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a landscape contractor.

Luis and his men put in my driveway and they were outstanding. He was far priced and showed up on time and work was finished when he said it would be. His work is professional and he cleaned up after they were done. I will use him again when I need concrete done.

I hired Luis and his company Concrete Creations SD to build a block retaining wall for the front yard of my house in the Pt Loma area, and to widen the driveway and pour a concrete walkway in the backyard. Luis was polite, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. His crew was pleasant as well, and they were on-​time and left the site neat and safe at the end of each day. The project was well-​organized, and finished on schedule. It did appear that Luis had pride in his company’s worksmanship, and concern that the outcome was to his customer’s satisfaction. The result was a major improvement in the appearance and functionality of my property, which is exactly what me and my wife were seeking.

Luis and his team just finished remodeling our front and HE WAS WONDERFUL! I’ve done lot’s of remodeling. Two years ago I did a kitchen remodel that ended up in San Diego Home & Garden. I’m saying that to let you know I’ve worked with my share of contractors. We got 5 bids for our front remodel. Luis’s came in very fairly priced and was hired because he seemed very knowledgable and pleasant. Luis and his crew stayed on budget, knew their stuff, were great to work with, showed up when they said they would and did the job as discussed.
Luis was hired to remove our exiting driveway & prep and pour a new much larger driveway. We also did a decomposed granite front additional circle driveway which Luis and crew prepared and built, we build built a large front block wall and built a garbage can area where we had build up part of our back garden to be level with driveway area. As I mentioned but have to say again, LUIS was GREAT to work with. I’m a VERY detailed oriented customer with some design background and I’m thrilled with the way my front remodel turned out and that it came in on budget!
I only have a few contractors who I would recommend without hesitation and Luis is now on my list. Call him, he will get your job done at a fair price without any drama!

Luis and his team did an excellent job on our backyard. They showed up on time everyday and cleaned up after themselves. Luis is very knowledgable and was able to do what other contractors told me wasn’t possible.
Before hiring Luis I had a very bad experience with another contractor. I end up firing the other contractor and was looking for someone to finish the job. I interviewed many other concrete companies but Luis impressed me the most. He was the only one who offered references upfront. I contacted all of his previous clients and they confirmed that he did quality work. I was never stressed out during the entire project. I wish I could have found Luis sooner.
If your looking for a honest, hardworking and great concrete contractor, I would definitely recommend Concrete Creations. You will not be disappointed.

Luis and his crew are fantastic. They started on time, did everything they said they would do, provided alternative design ideas promptly, cleaned up after themselves thoroughly every night… and probably most importantly, they were respectful of my wife and kids… accommodating nap schedules, questions etc etc. As if that wasn’t enough… they did a great job too! New masonry wall (with drainage that I hadn’t considered), some beautiful concrete semi circular steps, a wooden pergola, masonry planter, irrigation throughout. All round, I’m super satisfied with everything done and if I had more budget, I’d already be asking him to start the next project.

If I could give Luis and his crew 6 stars, I would!
I’m pretty picky and pay a lot of attention to details — I don’t like sloppy work. Luis is very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of good feedback on my planned design. He even caught a few mistakes that I had made and suggested corrections to the design which worked out well.
We got a gas line laid for a fire bowl, concrete poured in various seating areas and landscaping done.
Our yard seriously looks like it came out of a magazine. I’d post a pic but I don’t know how:(

Fantastic! After building and living in our home for 37 years our top driveway needed replacing. After a smooth demolition, removal of some tree roots, finish grading, compacting, and installation of rebar, we had 27 cubic yards of colored concrete poured, stamped and scored. It turned out beautiful! I was apprehensive about the position of the score lines, They came out perfect. Luis and his crew were professional, skilled, and on time. All of the crew had a great attention to detail and it showed. Our new driveway is the finishing touch to our outdoor remodel. The bid was competitive. When we went over the project, Luis’s comments of «Sure, we can do that» was refreshing, and most importantly, true. They did everything they said they would do and more. This is my first Unilocal recommendation but such a great job deserved the five star rating. THANK YOU!

Highly recommend. We obtained 3 other bids, and work is professional, on time, and easy.
They knew what they were doing ie turning off the main water, etc.
Though our job was small– extension of our driveway, the work and experience made each dollar spent worth it. Want on time professional concrete work? Recommend Luis! You will be happy you did!

A year ago, I had Luis remove my old mess of several disconnected patio sections and replace them with a large 2-​level concrete patio. He and his team did a fantastic job! He was knowledgeable, professional, and so easy to work with. He had some great suggestions for the patio layout and installed gas, water, and electrical conduit in the patio for a future BBQ island and firepit. Luis and his brothers demo’d an old patio cover and also installed two VERY large and heavy 6″ diameter galvanized steel poles to support a shade sail. All went smoothly and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I waited to post this review to be sure there was no cracking or any other problems — I couldn’t be happier with the work. Highly recommended!
