I grew up in Connecticut and needed more sunshine in my life so I moved to San Diego In 1993. I always wanted to have my own business and having a flooring sales and installation + construction background, I starting a carpet cleaning company which quickly grew into emergency cleaning and restoration service.

I Dan Macari, owner of D-​Mac Restoration Inc., guarantee every job we do. I take the feedback from our customers personally and will always do whats right in my heart to resolve any issue. They are thorough professionals when it comes to a great carpet cleaning service. Wow, everybody and their dog are singing the praises of D-​Mac but I can’t say I was all that impressed with my carpet cleaning experience with them. Yes, they were less expensive than some of the others but I was surprised that the guy didn’t move a stick of furniture. I think I’d rather pay a little more but get a more thorough cleaning.

What a great company! Last Sunday I found bathroom leak when it started dripping from my kitchen ceiling. I called my insurance. I then remembered I had used D-​Mac in 2009 and was very satisfied so I called Dan. He came out while the roof was being dried. To make a long story short he began restoration on Mon. and by Friday afternoon the whole project was complete including cleaning the stair carpet from various trades coming and going. My insurance company gave him the go ahead even before they completed their estimate as they knew he was a «reputable contractor». He did the whole restoration without asking for a dime from me. I can’t say enough good things. He kept me informed. All his men were polite and cleaned up each day. Thank you again Dan!

We had a difficult situation about 3 years ago involving moisture vapor incursion into our concrete foundation.
D-​Mac came highly recommended and that was a solid endorsement.
The work that they did was explained to us and completed with total control of the situation. They did floor surface removal, reconstruction of a wall footer, painting, re-stuccoing…they were on time and worked cleanly. In the completion of the job, some small damage was done to oversized mirrored closet doors. Dan (the owner) indicated when it was time to replace the doors, he would make sure it was done correctly.
It took us a number of years to get the vapor problem diagnosed and remediated by other companies that specialize in such things, but it was handled professionally and completely. After this, I called Dan to let him know that we were ready to the have doors installed and he had his team install new closet doors that I ordered, and they picked up from Dixieline Miramar, PERFECTLY (and at no cost for labor) within two business days.
Dan is a straight shooter and will tell you what you need for a project, and will not push you towards unnecessary work. He stands behind the work his business does and we would use his services again in a heartbeat if they were required.

Jason did an excellent job on my carpet. There were pet stains, old gum, and dirt which was all removed. Jason was very informative and explained the cleaning process as well as any preventive treatment very thoroughly. Got the job done at a great price

Best carpet cleaning company I have ever used. I’ve been using this company for the past 2.5 years and have never had a bad experience. I have a cat and small child and love to have clean carpets ALL the time. I’ve never had issues booking within a short time frame and tech always shows up on time and calls in advance. In addition, they offer other services (e.g. carpet repair). We recently had some work done on our house and I needed the carpets cleaned and some areas tacked back down. They came in, got the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. If you are having a hard time finding a good carpet cleaner, this is the best company I have used in San Diego. Would totally recommend them.

Dan came out after I had a leak in the roof. He checked out the damage and determined it really didn’t need any drying or restoration. He then went on the roof to try and troubleshoot the leak for me. Once he found what he believed to be the culprit, he took some photos and sent them to me and then referred me to a roofer. All of this for free. The previous restoration company I called came out and basically told me that it would cost over $ 1K to have them restore the area. Big thanks to Dan and D-​Mac for being honest and not taking advantage of a situation.

The only company I contacted that was willing to add our job on the the end of their very full day. D-​Mac sent their IICRC certified technician, Robert T., out to clean a tough stain out of our carpet — Successfully! And just in time for Father’s day celebration at our house! Robert arrived right on time and the work was thorough and completed in a reasonable amount of time. He made sure everything was cleaned up and in its place before he left. The quality was great and the price was right. We’ll definitely use D-​Mac in the future!

Dan and everyone at D-​Mac restoration were amazing in helping my wife and I get our condo restored after a water leak. Dan came out on a Saturday (his day off) to advise us and he let us know that the assessment from our home insurance company was way off. Dan’s team found a ton of mold damage when they started removing the water damaged flooring. It ended up being $ 10k worth of damages and they got everything done within 2 weeks. I can’t thank Dan enough and he even advised me on how to deal with my crappy insurance company, Homesite. I will be sure to recommend him to friends and family when they need someone to repair any water damage! Based on the service I received, I’ll also be calling when I need carpet cleaning.

D-​Mac just wrapped up a job that started with a flood then involved mold and asbestos abatement. Chris at D-​Mac was my «loyal lieutenant,» handling the whole project which included tearing open some walls and ceiling, then putting everything back together including new floors and vanities in two bathrooms. I’m also on an HOA board that has used D-​Mac for many post-​disaster recovery efforts. These are the guys to use in San Diego. They worked well with our insurance company, too.

I was selling a house and there was a leak that my tenants didn’t tell me about. There was a small patch on the outside stucco where the leak damage was visible. The buyers insisted that everything be repaired and checked for mold.
Most of the places I called wanted to tear down and rebuild the whole corner of the house. Some companies wouldn’t even talk to me unless I started a claim with my insurance.
D-​Mac came out. They told me I was lucky and the leak happened in the best possible spot. They cut out a small patch of stucco and installed an access panel. No mold was found.
Since they fixed the actual problem and didn’t suggest ripping down the whole house they were the cheapest by far.

Fast, efficient, and polite. They made a bad experience (water damage) a breeze. We had numerous companies come in and out of our house for quotes and pictures and this company was the most considerate of our time.
It was refreshing to see how clean and organized they were at the end of each day. They were considerate of our things that had to be moved and worked as if it was their house. They always gave me an accurate update of their time and work and finished the job on time. They steam cleaned our stairs and even included our hallway after the repairs. Looks great. Satisfied customers!
