I’m Brett Scheckel, owner and president of Garage Door Giant. I have worked in the door industry for over 20 years, starting in my own garage in my home. My goal is to bring you the best quality and customer service possible where door systems are concerned. We carry all makes and models of doors and openers. We also are trained to fix and repair all makes and models.

All our doors have the best warranty programs in the garage door industry. Many doors are available in stock, but we also receive weekly deliveries, so lead times are generally very short on special orders. We do not charge extra for color options or for nonstandard products. Qualified contractors get special pricing, so all you builders out there, check our prices before you buy. Outstanding service, with a great price. Very honest service. He showed up when he said he would be here. Very professional. He replaced the springs on my garage door and lubricated all moving parts. My garage door works better than when it was new. If you are looking for someone to work on your garage door call Brett. As long as I live in San Diego he will be the one I call for my garage door work.

I met Brett though a volunteer home fix up we do in Chula Vista each year. He wasn’t there to do garage doors, he was there to paint, rake, clear, whatever it took to spruce up the home of a family in need.
On the second or third year that Brett was helping out, he noticed the homeowner’s garage door was in bad shape. At that time, I did not know he was the owner of Garage Door Giant.
He and some other volunteers came back to the home a few weeks after we completed our project and those guys built her an entirely new custom garage door (this was an older home that did not have a standard garage door opening).
On a few subsequent home make-​overs, Brett has done adjustments to garage doors for us, installed a garage door for almost nothing and so much more.
I’m so impressed with this guy I had him come to my house and tune up the garage doors on my home and repair the ones on my shop. The price was very good for the work he performed.
I’ve recommended him to a few folks and they’ve come back to me with rave reviews so I know it’s not just me.
Brett is honest, humble and genuine. Great business and even better human being!

For garage door issues, you don’t need to go any further than Brett, owner of Garage Door Giant. He not only knows his stuff, but he is dependable, reliable, professional, on time, and extremely fair. I have used Brett professionally (I am in the real estate business) and personally. I’m also one who hardly ever writes reviews, but I was so impressed with Brett that I had to. My garage door was not opening correctly after I had repaired a broken limit switch and carriage assembly. As it turned out, a part on the motor was broken. Brett replaced it, and also tuned up my garage door. AWESOME Service and garage door works like new now (and sounds like it too — quiet… :))

He was able to quickly replace the part of my garage that was malfunctioning. I don’t usually post reviews, but I was so impressed by the service Brett at Garage Door Giant provided that I had to post a review.
I had a broken spring and a faulty door opener. Garage Door Giant was recommended to me by a friend. I’m glad I called them. The service was prompt and professional. I had my spring fixed, the door completely adjusted, and the coolest door opener installed (I’m now able to see my door on my iPhone anywhere in the world), no more wondering if we closed the door.

Outstanding! I will go to no one else! I called Brett again for a second garage door and as before… I love it I love it I love it! Matches the house beautifully. Best looking garage door in the neighborhood. This time Brett and his son came out together and they did a great job… older house so lots of additional frame work to be done which just enhanced the look of the house!
