I’ve eaten here a lot. A few workers who always remember me always say hi if they get a chance and are super nice and friendly. Although it can get busy, the food has always been super good for me. All my experiences have been wonderful, as the meats are cooked well, the food tastes fresh & the employees are super friendly & nice. Great food and great staff & their Pita Wednesday deals are the best thing since Taco Tuesday!

Chicken grilled salad was good plenty of greens but the chicken needed some more Greek seasoning like oregano etc.

I’m really into Mediterranean food right now. I always go to Daphne’s and Ariana’s Produce for my fix. I got a chicken kabob plate the last time I was there and it was so good! The customer service here is also good too.

I finally came back and gave them another chance. I am very happy with the my most recent experience! The soup is still delicious and the staff was fast and friendly this time! Thank you for giving me a wonderful lemon chicken soup and a really delicious $ 5 chicken pita sandwich! Parking is pretty good now for a weekday dinnertime!

The quality of food has really gone downhill since they revamped their menu in the last couple years. I used to frequent Daphne’s, but now it really isn’t worth it.

I normally would rant about Daphne’s but my last visit let me down a little. I got the California Salad. The salad vinaigrette was a little too strong. I will still eat here because everything else is fantastic and the chicken is always fresh but I will steer clear of the California Salad.

My kids love this place! Boys like the chicken kebabs and the younger ones like the cheese pizza kids meal. My husband and i like the gyro plates or pita. Staff is nice… especially the lady who is always at the register.

I was in the mood for some gyros. Yum. So I came here, their classic pita is $ 5 with your choice of meat. I got the gyros, it was good, good seasoning and tender. Careful, the gyro can get a little messy! But messier the better right?! Haha. Overall good. Friendly staff.

I wasn’t really impressed with their food here. It was my first time trying Daphne’s and I wanted to give it a try because I’ve never been here. Don’t think I’ll be back. It’s pretty pricey for food that lacks a lot of flavor. The staff here was friendly though. Greeted us when we walked in and said bye to us when we left.

The service here was wonderful, as was the Avgolemono soup(chicken lemon.) BUT, my salmon was so dry and tasteless, that, even at this fast food place, I took it back. The manager was very friendly and accommodating. She let me switch it for another entrée, and I got the steak kabob. Cooked nicely to order, but tiny pieces and very grizzly. I guess what can you expect for $ 9.99, but I wouldn’t get it again. The three stars are for the manager and for the delicious Avgolemono soup — some of the best I’ve had! If I’m around there for a movie sometime(it’s near the Mira Mesa Regal theatres), I’ll get just the soup for my meal next time!

The staff was friendly, the interior was clean and modern, clean restrooms, but food was just ok at best. Best I can discribe this place is «Greek fastfood that looks upscale.» I got the mixed plate, comes with rice, small salad, and your choice of two entries. I picked the falafel and the beef kabob, plus a small drink. I paid $ 11.75 I was disappointed in so many levels. I expected more for practically $ 12. The kobob was tiny, with onion, bell pepper and four pieces of meat all the size of a nickle, I didn’t like their own version of a falafel, the rice was a bit disappointing, and the small salad was ok. If I go back I may just try a gyro but I don’t think I’ll be going back. There are far better medditeranean restaurants and/or fastfood places I’d rather go to.

Never heard or seen this place before. It caught my attention for that same reason. I’m really big on trying new places. I went during lunch time and as soon as I came in I was welcomed in by one of the employees. First time being there and I was impressed. It was clean, décor was nice and modern, and customer service was great! I ordered a classic grilled chicken pita with fries. I liked the way I was able to choose at least 6 different options for my side dish since I got a combo. I sat outside because I was studying with a few of my classmates and the employee still brought out the food for me which I thought was amazing because usually you have to pick up your food when it’s ready. Only reason I gave it a four stars was because I felt like my grilled chicken pita needed something. Don’t get me wrong! It was good and I was satisfied but I feel it was missing something. Like it needed a different sauce. Not quite sure. The sauce it came with I didn’t really enjoy but then again I really didn’t bother to ask if they had any other ones.

Delicious. I love Greek food and they do an amazing job! The service here is wonderful, the staff is all super nice and the place is spotless. The food here is spectacular. I have not yet had anything bad here nor is there anything for me to complain about here. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for great and fast Greek food!

Tried the Mediterranean Veggie plate recently. Falafel — Very good. It had some texture unlike Luna Grill’s mushy lump of batter. Hummus — Good and serving was very generous. Tzatziki — Very good. Licked it clean :) Pita — Very good. Soft and warm. Rice — Flavorful and well cooked. Spanakopita — A little burnt on the outside and tasted a little off. Greek Salad — Looked ok but didn’t try it. I thought the plate’s portion size was decent for lunch and dinner. This location is very clean and the staff is friendly. Like another reviewer pointed out, I probably would not crave Daphne’s food but if I am hungry for a quick meal and in the neighborhood I would definitely consider it.

Stopped in to pick up to go. I’m a fan of Daphne’s for their gyros, fries and rice. Honestly, that’s all I get and that’s all I care to order. When I come here, the food is always consistent and tasty. Depending on when you come to this location, it can be busy during the lunch or dinner hours. The times that I have gone, I didn’t have a long wait. When it does the busy, you will know since the parking lot will be full and there are people lining up towards the door. This place shares a shopping center with Rubio’s, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice on the opposite side of the movie theaters. Great alternative vs the burgers and fish tacos in the area!

I’m shocked to see this place has a 3 star rating. I just started working for a company around the corner a few weeks ago and have been here 3 times. It’s a very clean and modern restaurant with easy going music being played. And it’s always busy but no line out the door or anything. Even the other guests eating there are very easy going as well. The food is awesome and you won’t be disappointed here for a meal. The staff is very tentative and helpful from the minute you order till the minute you leave and they say«Thank you». Enjoy!

Trying to fill that void between spending all your money during the weekend and saving money for Taco Tuesday? Try a Pita Burger. Pros: — Clean and welcoming environment — Cheap entrée’s on Monday and Wednesdays — Food is good, for a fast Californian fusion of Greek food — Membership points for frequent buyers Cons: — Parking gets hectic, especially for this plaza — Food is expensive for what it is You would think I would rate this place more stars for having more pros vs. cons. In reality, it is a great place with great service. My rationale is that it is very rare that I would say«Dude, I’m CRAVING Daphne’s right now.» I would come here on Monday for a cheap Pita Burger because it’s their Monday special. Or on Wednesday when they have street pitas for only $ 1.50, so if you still wanted something like a taco but missed Taco Tuesday, than come here from a Greek«taco.» But yeah. That«crave» aspect for me stops me from giving at least 4 stars. But to all my healthy fit peeps, this would be a good place for you. =)

Since their inception, I have like what Daphne’s has had to offer. I like ordering their combo mix and match plates because I you get to try more items, not to mention I am a pretty big eater. I ordered the plate with a chicken kebob, gyro meat, salad, rice, and some sliced pita bread( ). The meal was pretty good. My favorite was the chicken on a stick because it was very well marinated and seasoned and it came out very tender( ), and with a little yogurt sauce on it, well it was great eats. The gyros meat was good and it was lighter in consistency or very thinly sliced, and in flavor than most I have had. It to went very well with the yogurt, than wrapped with the moist warm pita bread for a mini sammi.( ). I just wish there was more on the plate because it disappeared rather quickly. The salad was okay, a little over dressed for my taste, but I really appreciated the feta cheese it came with( ). The rice was mild in flavor, light, and fluffy. The pita was very good and came warm and moist on my plate. Service was pretty good, a little on the shy side but friendly enough. A gentlemen did approach me a couple of times to make sure I was okay. That was cool enough… Mix and Match I like…3.5 stars.

ASIANOMICS110D: How to get Daphne’s Street Pitas for only 26 cents each. Wednesdays its $ 1.49 street pitas, I ordered four. With tax it comes out to $ 6.44. But I got a free $ 5 credit on Pita Points account for my birthday month. Its free to join Pita Points! The register said I owed $ 1.04. $ 1.04 /4 = 26 cents each for Birthday Boy Chun P. I have no idea what happened to the other 40 cents… don’t ask, don’t tell! They forgot to put tzatziki sauce cups with my tasty street pitas in my to go order, but I can forgive this for $ 1.04 :D

Daphne’s California Greek SD: Mira Mesa 12pm Friday 22 February 2013 Four Stars HR Block Lunch Date #4. Daphne’s is a unique California Twist on Greek Cuisine. The design is modern; the service is friendly; and the food seemed fresh and healthy. I ordered the Gyro with roasted vegetables and black beans. The correct pronunciation is(Yeer-Oh) but according to Katy Kat in New York, they pronounce it as(Jai Row) like a scientific instrument. The food was pretty standard. The meat was fine; the pita was soft; and the produce was fresh. I have no complaint or great accolades. Note: I always tip when the server brings your food to your table and then take away your dishes.
