Dave Murphy – State Farm Insurance Agent

I have been getting good service from this insurance company for more then 40 years. My car, my house, my rental were all covered and the office personnel like Wendy have been helpful with advice. Now Jonathan who seem knowledgeable about renters insurance, went beyond what was required and gave me a referral to get some help for a mentally ill relative. Wow!

After looking around for new auto and home owner’s insurance, these guys were a winner. Jonathan has been extremely responsive and quick to deal with any of my questions and concerns from day 1. Not only that, but he’s extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the insurance policies, and helps you get the most discounts/​most appropriate policies for your situation! One of the nicest guys around, glad I called these guys up!

Thank God someone besides Wendy answered the phone! I have been with Dave Murphy and State Farm for about 15 years. They initially were great but as time went on and my policy changed (ie tickets, moving, getting married etc) my premium became absolutely absurd even when compared to other very reputable insurance companies. Farther more, every single month my premium was a different amount – very strange. I was calling to cancel when Jonathan discussed my options and made it clear that my policy was complete overkill on insurance and I was not getting the discounts I should have. Having the same conversation with Wendy just a few weeks ago she had no options to modify my plan to make it comprehensive and affordable so I proceeded to get other quotes. Thank you Jonathan for being knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!

Although I’ve never met Wend in person, she is very helpful over the phone! She helped me purchase home owners insurance over 4 years ago, and she is still helping me today. Wendy and Jonathan just helped me sort out a billing problem w my bank (the day before Thanksgiving). I don’t know about you, but my productivity isn’t very high around the holidays. They are very personable and kept me updated on any changes. Customer service at its best!

Awesome service and Great People to work with. I Just got off the phone with Jonathon after inquiring for a quote on line and he was very easy to talk to and extremely chill. I recently had the pleasure of working with Jeff Milber for my families house and auto insurance. Jeff was extremely helpful, nice, professional, knowledgeable and I highly recommend him. My family and I just recently purchased a house and it was so great that Dave’s office was able to get us all of the coverage we needed so that we were fully covered on all fronts! We enjoyed working with them and they did a great job, including follow up over the phone and personal attention.

I haven’t lived in San Diego for over 4 years and I miss having Dave and Wendy handling my insurance. They really do a great job taking care of you. I wish they could write policies in other states because I would have stayed with them forever. They treat you with respect, never act as if you’re bothering them if you have a question, and are willing to go the extra mile to earn your business. State Farm is a solid insurance company, and you won’t be sorry if you pick this agency.

About ready for a cross country move and scared to death I frantically called the office to make sure if the moving company (who have bullied me into using them by keeping deposits if i cancel) if they damage my things will I be covered if they are a sham… Of course they said no questions asked. They also remembered to congratulate me on my new car, find me an agent on the East coast give me all of their information and wish me well on my move. Dave, Jeff, Wendy, and Liz have all gone above and beyond my service expectations. Friendly as ever, always adding that certain personal touch that makes going to any other company just not an option. Keep your gecko and 15% because you cant have our 15 minutes!
