History

Established in 2014.

Decadent Dog was founded in Boston by Rob Nager in 2002, and has received numerous accolades throughout the years including our industry’s most prestigious award, Pet Sitter of the Year (given by Pet Sitter’s International).

Decadent Dog San Diego is the first step in our plan to love and spoil dogs all over the world. We couldn’t be more proud and excited to bring our superior level of customer service and pet care to the people and animals of San Diego!

When I graduated from Brandeis University what seems like ages ago, the only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to spend my first summer of freedom outdoors with animals. I had always been a dog fanatic, and when I saw the Decadent Dog truck drive by, I was dialing the number before I knew what I was doing. And the rest is, as they say, history.

Working with animals on a daily basis has easily been the most rewarding experience in my life, second only to working with my human clients. They have been like family to me and I’m proud to say that they have frequently told me they feel the same. I believe in customer service and I firmly attest that there is no greater feeling than knowing I can provide peace of mind to pet owners when they’re at work or away on vacation.

I’m over the moon about being in San Diego with my lovely wife and we look forward to meeting you and your pets, and to doing our part to help fill their lives with happiness, love, security, and adventure!
