GREATQUALITY! I was impressed by the Jamaican roll, it was different and baked the right amount so that the salmon wasn’t over cooked. The Chubby roll was good too. $ 3 for a Philadelphia roll is pretty cheap. This restaurant has cheap prices and quality salmon, I’ll definitely come here again!

Pretty cool place, its like a fast food sushi place with an industrial décor, food is ok. But is the perfect spot to eat something before heading home and wait for traffic to slow down. :)

If you’re looking for a quick sushi-fix on the west side of Mira Mesa, you might just have to settle for this place. And not to sound like this place isn’t good, it was just alright. The pros of this sushi bar is that sushi was made right in front of you and if you’re a beer person, there are two local San Diego breweries that share the same parking lot. My friends and I were the only ones at the restaurant during the time, yet there was no great customer service. Not one, «how are you guys», «how’s the food». And not enough smiles to make the experience feel like a local sushi find that could be a go to place for sushi. I suggest grabbing a couple beers at the breweries then once you feel a bit more lighthearted, you’ll probably enjoy the food more! I will say there is definitely potential for this restaurant to pick up. It has all the bullet points for a local joint to be up and coming. I will be back for another go and not giving up quite yet on this place.

My friend and I decided on a super late lunch on our day off. We chose Sushi. We came across this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. It is a hidden spot in an industrial area around Miramar. I guess they get most business from all the workplace in the area. We walked in and there are seating inside and you can sit wherever after you place your order. There are varieties of rolls at a decent price. We decided on Eel Roll, Jamaican Roll, and Chubby Roll. All of them took forever to come out(reason for 4 stars). They have only one sushi chef. It wasn’t busy just 2 customers in front of us but it took over 30 mins before the food came to our table. All the rolls were good especially Jamaican roll(lived up to the hype) hahah we want to go back and try the monster roll(not the challenge) but just to order it. We will go back soon!

This place has a lot of seating, but there was barely anyone there on a Saturday afternoon. There’s a big menu on the wall on the right side of the cashier and you order from there. Got the crispy California roll, tiger roll, and lion roll. They forgot the crispy onions on the California roll. We returned it and they just added crispy onions and spicy mayo to the California roll. A dollar difference for spicy mayo and crispy onions that seemed like it was store bought. It took awhile for the sushi being made, and there was barely anyone in there. There was one other person besides us. I can’t imagine how the wait is when they’re busy. The rolls are small. Not really much going on with it. The most I can say is that their salmon and tuna tasted fresh. The only thing they give you to dip your sushi in soy sauce with is those sauce to-go containers. Kind of difficult to do since the sushi gets stuck on the top so you have to hold it at an angle. Didn’t like that most of the rolls were filled with crab meat, cucumber, and cream cheese. I know you can request to remove the cream cheese, but that just means more crab meat to fill in the void. I went for the Lion and Tiger roll because those were one of the fews rolls that did without cream cheese. Cream cheese in sushi, yech. Overall, the food is decent and the prices are okay. I can get way more sushi from somewhere else with the same price range. Will probably not return.

It’s not a usual place to get your sushi, but it’s cute and different! The way this place is set up isn’t too bad coming from a warehouse looking. The like the menu being the full wall and the coloring and writing. I love how they also serve desserts, and it’s just not simple ice cream. But waffles, caramel apples etc. The pricing is reasonable for every sushi they serve. My BF just wishes some of the sushi rolls were a little bigger because it’s small compared to other places. The monster challenged seems like a really good idea! But it also looks like not much achieved it than those who lost. Hahha I do like the Jamaican roll, it’s a must try! The only thing that sucks is that they only take cash, but there is an ATM if you do forget($ 1.50) x charge. & Also they offer eel or spicy mayo sauce instead of your asking for it

Cheap quality sushi! I got the Lion roll $ 8 and the Autumn roll $ 6. When I first ordered the Lion roll I assumed it was the Lion King roll but it’s not! I personally like the Lion roll more than the Autumn roll. The sushi was fresh and well worth what you pay for it. Presentation isn’t the greatest but not a problem for me given the prices. Perfect for a college student. If you want something similar to the Lion King roll then try the Jaimancan roll! There were only two workers when I was there. It took around 15 – 20 minutes for the rolls to come out. Only downside to this place is that it’s cash only.

I had a sudden intense craving for sushi. Didn’t want to drive too far and didn’t want to dine in so I knew Deli Sushi & Desserts was the best choice. We called in an order for a Chubby Roll, Jamaican Roll, Miralani Roll, and the Crispy Cali roll. Our order was ready on arrival. Great service! Fast and easy. Jamaican Roll! Still the must-have item in my opinion. I always get the Jamaican Roll with every order. Something about that seared salmon has me hooked. The Chubby Roll was great as well. It was definitely filling and took some effort and determination to finish. The signature garlic sauce that they use on the Chubby Roll stood out to me. Great taste and flavor. Still a 5 star rating from me! Great price for quality sushi. Still cash only, ATM available if needed. My go-to spot for sushi in the Mira Mesa area. I still have not tried a dessert from this place though…

This place is a hidden gem! It is pretty hidden, and it is a gem. I have been living in Mira Mesa my whole life, and this is the best sushi in the area for its price and convenience. My favorite is the $ 2 nigiri that comes with two pieces, but I also really liked the Philadelphia, Rainbow, and Citrus Hamachi Rolls! And you get a free drink if you check in on Unilocal or Facebook! Don’t be fooled by the garage-esque image of the place– the quality of the food is up to par with sit in restaurants and you don’t have to wait for seating. Go check it out!!!

Ordered 40 minutes ago and still waiting for food. Not sure if it’s the workers or owners fault but no one should have to wait that long for fast food or «sushi.» There’s two sushi chefs and 1 cashier, and I understand that sushi takes a while to make but this is over the top. Be forwarned, it appears that they prioritize their to-go orders more than their in house guests. I’ve seen them walk out multiple containers of to-go orders past us. I really think they should implement a better in-house service simultaneously with their to-go orders. If we didn’t pay in advance, we would have probably left and gone somewhere else. By the time I asked for a refund, our food was ready and we were really hungry and scarfed it down. We ordered 3 rolls, which were still on the small side, that left us still hungry. I’m pretty bummed about this experience because we were really looking forward to finally trying this place ever since they opened, likely will not be returning.

I was craving sushi and didn’t want to go to far and happy sushi was busy. So I went on Unilocal and this spot popped up and what I thought was neat was that I can place an order on Unilocal for this business. Great selection of sushi. And the desserts looks delicious. I ordered the Jamaican roll since I read it’s a fan favorite. I also ordered the basic rolls like spicy tuna and salmon roll. I ordered a red velvet macaron ice cream sandwich for dessert. Everything was delicious and cheap. I also made sure I brought cash after reading some reviews.

Well… I am a bit confused beca use all the reviews this place have are very very good and unfortunately, I cannot tell the same. Perhaps was the time of the day I came in(3.30pm) but the food tasted less tgan OK, the place was OK but smell bad. Not at all a 4 ½ stars on Unilocal. I get the fact that the price is very accessible and there is parking, and for people who work in the area is a not expensive and good place to grab lunch and come back to the office, but for me who came specially because it was very hight ranked on Unilocal, was not worth it. I did not enjoyed to eat in a plastic plate or cup. The miso soup was not good at all too much water. The sushi roll we had was the one with Philadelphia and it tasted alright and finally the waffle with ice cream was good but there are plenty of other sushis in SD with much better food.

This minimalist sushi joint is set in what appears to be an abandoned storage place. Despite the simplistic look and minimal decorations, the place exudes a modern and fancy look. We ordered a roll from each of their sushi categories(Premium, Specialty, and Fantasy). All were delicious and beautifully prepared. The macaroon ice cream sandwich dessert we ordered was perfectly sweet and scrumptious! On the flip side they only use plastic and styrofoam to serve their food which in my opinion is quite wasteful… Also the people working can also be more welcoming and friendly. I felt they were a bit passive and quite quiet. I can foresee this place becoming more popular and a goto place for me in the future. With some added pizazz and tweaks, this minimalist sushi joint can easily be a 5 star restaurant in my book!

This place has it all! Great music, great food, great desserts and great prices! What more can you ask for? There’s so much to choose from so it made it very difficult to pick because I wanted to try everything. I ordered the Sashimi roll and Jamaican roll. Both are very good. The sashimi roll was my favorite between the two. After that I got the strawberry macaron ice cream($ 6) which is HUGE! Usually macaron ice cream sandwiches are tiny. This one is on steroids and could easily be shared by two people. I could have just stuck with this and called it a day but I had to try their Caramel Apple($ 4) & holy crap glad I did. They cut the inside of the apple and chop up the pieces and mix in vanilla ice cream with Carmel drizzle all over. This was amazing! I also ordered the basic rolls(Cali, spicy tuna and philly roll $ 3 each) to go for a little snack for later. You really can’t beat those prices! I’m giving this place 5 stars even tho it’s cash only because of the great variety of choices they have and for the price. I’m kinda glad it’s cash only. That will help keep me away lol. I’m definitely coming back here again.

Well, ok… if you come here expecting high quality then I think you’ll be disappointed. If you come here with value being the most important thing then I think you’ll be alright. The rolls here are definitely cheaper than most other places. While other places charge $ 11+ for their rolls you’re looking at $ 6 – 10 here. I was hoping for great quality at a great price. But unfortunately the saying«you get what you pay for» truly applies in this case. The rolls came out on styrofoam plates(which wasn’t bad actually and I felt added to the charm) and looked alright. We got the Fire Fire roll, the Samurai Roll, and something else… nothing was bad, but nothing was all that good either. Everything was just… meeeeeeh. We also had some tuna nigiri. While they do it right by not using a ton of rice, they could have done more with the presentation. It really looked like they haphazardly cut some pieces of tuna and slapped ‘em on some rice. Flavor was also not great and you could tell the fish was frozen beforehand. So based on that, the price point of $ 6 – 10($ 2 for an order of nigiri) was accurate. Then we had some dessert which was also just meh. Again, it wasn’t bad just not the best. So the name of the game here is value. If you want desserts and sushi but need to save a couple bucks and don’t care about quality then this is your spot. But if you’re looking for legit, high quality stuff then I say go elsewhere.

This experience is why I love Unilocal.I was sitting in another sushi place nearby, realizing there was no way I could eat there. It was dirty and the fish didn’t look fresh. I ended up walking out(something I very rarely do), knowing I wanted sushi and not knowing where to go. Unilocal saved me! I would have never known about this other location,(just 8 minutes away using the back roads), where I had such a great experience. The price and quality are amazing! I got the Sashimi roll which was OUTOFTHISWORLD delicious. It was a normal role with bite size sashimi piled high on top. So fresh and tasty. The menu in general is a nice surprise, very creative takes on the typical roles. I love that they aren’t stuck doing the same ol’ thing. Another nice surprise about this place was they have an alcohol license and serve wine, sangria, and beer for very reasonable prices. My sangria was only $ 3! They will allow you to bring your own alcohol for a $ 7 corkage fee. The location itself could use more seating and atmosphere, but as soon as you taste the sushi you will forget all about the concrete floors, styrofoam plates, and bare walls. Minus one star because we were there at 7pm and it was freezing inside… we almost went and sat in the car to eat, it was that cold. I read other reviews that stated it gets very hot in the day… Maybe and overall temperature awareness is needed. The desserts look delish, I can’t wait to try them next time. Tip; this place is cash only, but there is an atm

Definitely worth coming here to get sushi if you’re on a budget. But CASHONLY! Restaurant charges you $ 1.50 to use their ATM machine & your bank will charge you another $ 2.50 to use an ATM machine not specifically for your bank… so $ 4 total. Service: Staff members are super friendly! If you check in on Unilocal, you even get a free can of soda. Food: Sushi burrito($ 10)– Their fish wasn’t fresh at all, but what do I expect? My salmon wasn’t even near orange, it was a dark pink color and they confirmed it to be salmon… I’m also disappointed by the size of their sushi burrito compared to the ones I’ve tried elsewhere. Honestly, not worth the $ 10. I would recommend trying their other rolls ranging from $ 3 – 6. They even have dessert here, so I’ll probably give it a second try another time.

Good sushi at a great price(cash only! but there’s an ATM inside). It’s a super modest spot with one sushi chef and one worker, so takes a little bit of time to get your food(keep that in mind if you’re on your lunch break). Sushi is fresh, decently sized, but the real appeal is the price — so cheap! for good sushi! They have sodas and waters in a separate cooler for 50 cents — $ 1(they don’t give out glasses of water) but you get a free drink if you check in on some form of social media. They also have a lot of options for dessert that I’m hoping to try at some point.

My new favorite sushi spot! I have been here once before when it first opened & I loved how delicious their sushi creations were & the quality of their ingredients. & my last visit did not disappoint! They have a variety of inexpensive, fresh rolls for $ 3, $ 5, $ 8, $ 10! I ordered: Jamaican Roll = Seared salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, eel sauce, shredded crab, eel, cream cheese — So amazing! Melts in your mouth! I highly recommend! They also serve appetizers, desserts, & a sushiritto which I will definitely come back for to try! Cash only!(ATM inside in case you forget) This restaurant is located in the business district of Miramar with plenty of parking.

I’ve never ate inside. Just picked up my sushi to go. It’s one of my lunch spots now to go to in the area since I need more of a variety of places to go to. I love the eat24 ordering system. I first heard of eat24 in SF and I am glad they branched out to SD. It makes it very convenient to order your food online and through the Unilocal app. It’s been a good experience so far. It’s a simple place so don’t expect much. The sushi tastes good but the presentation could improve. The first time I tried them I saw that they serve a sushi burrito. I miss the sushi burritos in SF so it was nice to try it here. I thought it was good but not the greatest. The macaron ice cream sandwich I ordered was pretty huge. I ended up just eating the ice cream after a few bites. It’s good enough for 2 people. The second time I came I ordered the Jamaican roll. I did prefer that roll over the sushi burrito. The Jamaican roll is topped with salmon and a spicy mayo sauce and inside is crab, eel, avocado and cream cheese. Cream cheese in rolls always seem to be my favorite. It was a good roll to try. It’s good to check out if you are in the area. It’s very random in the industrial business area so it might be hard to find.
