Good atmosphere, great for people watching, great food, customer service is excellent. It’s a good place for a drink & a burrito

Back again this year, and loved it again! This festival is even bigger that it was when I last went two years ago. There is more face painting, sugar skull painting, mask painting, and there are even places to make your own tissue paper flowers for hair. This year, it seemed that everyone was made up and dressed up! We enjoyed bands in the streets, at altars, and in restaurants. There was even a larger than life skull walking through the Fiesta de Reyes. We watched a candlelight procession march through the cemetery, and then mariachis started to play. We must’ve seen about 30 altars, and finally settled town for margaritas and dinner. Parking can be difficult, but can be done if you don’t mind walking a bit. This year we just took Über to simplify things. We probably waited for about 30 minutes for dinner, but enjoyed margaritas and found a comfortable sofa in a bar while we waited, so we didn’t mind at all. I definitely recommend this festival… dress up and you will have even more fun. Oh, and admission is free!
