Discount Tire Store – San Diego, CA

Insanely good customer service. My tire pressure warning light had come on so I went there this morning. Got there 7:45 and they open at 8. The service person came out 7:50 and took my car. In the lobby they offered be just made coffee. I was done by 8. Most businesses ignore people before the official opening time. Not here!

We needed a tire rotation and made an appointment here since it was close to our parents home. From the beginning to the end, the service was outstanding. We made an appointment without any issues and when we arrived, we were promptly greeted by Willie and our car was worked on by Edward (both friendly, professional and respectful employees). We were in and out within 30 minutes. In addition to the tire rotation, they found a nail in one of the tires and fixed it.
The waiting area is small but clean. They provide free coffee and bottled water :)

I could hear the air coming out of my tire when I got out at the grocery store an hour ago. Stupid nail. No worries! Discount Tire to the rescue!
I’ve been in here several times, and have a great experience every time.
I’m currently sitting here waiting for them to finish up, and can’t say enough good things about everyone working. On the phone and people coming in they all have awesome costumer service.

One morning I noticed a shiny thing in one of my tires. I realized that it was a nail and when I tried to remove it the air started leaking. So I took the car to this place, walked in and asked these guys to look at it. I had to wait about 15 minutes and then we went over some options. They didn’t really try to upsell only wanted to add insurance if a new tire was needed. Then I gave them the keys and waited about 30 or 45 minutes. They were able to fix the tire and didn’t ask anything for it. So, it didn’t cost me anything except for time, and they were nice, so made a good impression on me. If I ever need new tires or repair I will go back to this place for sure.

Very nice guys, I think Will and Jason were the guys I talked to. I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for free! Next time I need tires, I’ll be buying them here.

I recently rolled the dice and bought a set of used wheels. I was dreading what potential issues I could have once I tried to get the tires mounted and then fitted to my car. I ordered the tires online and via the discount tire website. It doesn’t actually have you pay for them, but rather gets them sent to your local store and locks in your price.
I went by the store the next day and they had yet to receive in my 4 tires (granted I ordered at 10PM the prior night). They did have me drop off my wheels though, so they could have them mounted and balanced before I even arrive the next day. They also had me pay at this time as well, which was fine by me.
Got a call the next morning letting me know the wheels/​tires were ready for me. I got down there that afternoon and they brought my car right back. They also let me go back and watch the process. They got them installed on the car in about 10 minutes, and that includes putting all my old wheels and tires in bags and loaded in the trunk.
The next day I noticed that one of the tires was running a bit low (7 psi)! I could only think it was something wrong with my second hand rims… I brought it down to Discount the next day and showed them the low tire. Once again they whisked my car to the back and had me back to watch. Even though they knew these were 2^nd hand wheels, they didn’t start to assume or place any blame on them. After dunking the one tire in water, they could see the bead leak. They took off the tire and did a extra job of really cleaning out the inner side of the wheel rim (bead I guess) and remounted the tire. They were apologetic to me for having to come back. They got me fixed up and 3 days later it is still holding up great.
My sister in-​law got a flat today and was already in need of 4 new tires, so you can probably guess where I sent her.

Tommy and all of the guys at this location are absolutely excellent — knowledgeable and great customer service. I am an «average» driver who knows almost nothing so I was grateful for the expert advice. Thank you.

I came into this store knowing exactly what kind of wheels and tires I wanted. Unfortunately they didn’t carry this particular brand of wheels I wanted but luckily for me Willie was able to have them shipped over from another store. Of course they took a couple days to arrive, but I wanted my Toyota Tacoma to look good, so I was willing to wait.
A few days later I came in on appointment and they went to work. Sadly, there were some complications and couldn’t get the hub caps to sit on properly. I was bummed because I thought this meant I was gonna have to chose another style of wheels. Went home with my stock tires and wheels back on my truck and Willie called me later that evening to tell me they might’ve figured out the solution to making them fit. Came back in the next day and the manager figured out a way to make it work. All these guys work so hard and so incredibly fast! They really put forth the extra effort to make sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted.

They offer free tire rotation, even if you didn’t buy the tires from them! Of course they will try to sell you stuff, but if you can resist their sales pitch, then it’s a pretty cool, time saving service!

I finally got new shoes for my car. Great prices, and good customer service and support. I was on a budget but wanted an above average tire; one that would last 3 – 5 years.
Wait wasn’t long (I had an appointment), and the staff was friendly and cordial.

Needed to get a flat tire fixed & after waiting over 2 hours for a simple fix …
The guy told me it shouldn’t take too long but the definition of NOT TO LONG is less than 30 min
I understand they busy but I was there first & I saw them king 3 other cars before me & I got there before them
I will not cone back to this location simply for a lack of customer service

The name may say discount but the service is anything but.
I had a great experience booking a dame day appointment with Will and he promised to get me out of a bind — time wise. I showed up on time and Tommy had me in and out within twenty minutes.
Everything went down super smoothly.
My only irk was only one option available for my tire size but all in all I am very satisfied.

I love this company they are so helpful and staff is insanely friendly. Car stuff overwhelms me but discount tires takes away the stress with their excellent customer service. They even have a credit card if u need help paying for suprise tire replacements like me. My only complaint was that they didn’t contact me when my car was done like they said they would

Well, ‘Berto got new shoes and I’m in a safer ride. That’s what is most important.
Secondly, I got a great deal on run-​flats for my Mini Cooper S that couldn’t be beat. I went in hoping to get good news on a tire that kept registering low on my tire pressure monitor. (um, bad sensor right?)
Nope, leak. AND the original manufacturer of my tires doesn’t allow repairs. Add the fact that I knew they were getting close to needing replacement and I was an easy sale.
Ryan helped me out, found a tire for a reasonable price that only required a $ 25 deposit before they’d be there the next day. I put down my deposit and researched the tires to confirm that Ryan had made a good recommendation. I couldn’t find a lousy review on the tire, and even found glowing reviews on them for my make/​model car.
When I went back the next day (5pm Friday) I was expecting to pick up my car Saturday morning. This didn’t bother me since I live walking distance, but when I got the call that the car was done in just over 30 minutes I was stoked. Speedy!
My car rides better, the tire price couldn’t be beat, everyone I worked with was amazing and if anything happens I am covered for more miles than the car will probably live through.
Win. I hope I don’t have to visit again soon.

We had a tire issue, and they checked us in pretty fast. The problem with this location is its location. It is horribly hard to find parking here, and it is on a busy street going into PB. There were about 20 people waiting in the waiting room towards the end of the afternoon. The employees were very nice considering. I just am not a fan of the location.

quickly and our 50 minute

or the one next to it.
The reviews on Jiffy Lube are pretty much accurate and they try and up sell you as much as they can. Find a better place and don’t waste your time there.

Yes I had a flat and was referred to Discount tires by a friend. I was helped by Will and he was amazing not only did I get 4 new tires that I have tried other places that do not carry the tires in my truck size Discount tires had the tires in stock and it only took about a half hour to get them replaced.
Amongst the amazing service by Will and the speed of the service I am extremely happy I was referred here Goodyear tires as far as I know are a great brand.

These guys did me a solid. I noticed that one of my tires had been deflating much faster than the rest so I brought it by the shop and hung out for about 15 minutes while they got to work. (I didn’t buy the tired from here so I was expecting to pay something). They brought the car back around to the front, told me I had a small nail in there, but they patched it up and told me I was on my way free of charge. Thanks guys. Great service as well.
