DJ Julius

It was great working with DJ Julius. He is very professional and easy to work with. The guests absolutely loved the music and everyone was dancing throughout the night. He was also our MC and helped the night go really smoothly. He played everything we had in mind for our key moments. However, we had some music chosen for dinner time which he didn’t play. It didn’t affect anything and the night was still perfect for the guest, we were the only two who noticed it! I’m sure he would have done it if emphasized more. Other than this he is an amazing DJ and makes your party as entertaining as it can be. I definitely recommend him to anyone I know.

2012 I wrote A review for my sisters wedding. Fast forward to 2015 and now it is my turn. Julius, words cannot describe the appreciation and true admiration we have for you. Julius went out of his way to assist us with every step. He is nothing less than amazing and we were lucky to have Julius as a DJ. The dance floor was packed all night. At brunch the next day everyone was asking for Julius’s information. I wish i could repay him somehow for his patience and kindness.

Julius DJ’d our April 2015 wedding. My family still talks about how nice he was and how great he was as a DJ. I’m Persian and my husband is white so I needed a mix of music for our wedding. More importantly, I needed a DJ who would be able to change up the music throughout the night based on what the crowd was feeling. Julius did just that. He switched from American to Persian to dance seamlessly throughout the night. Our dance floor was full with people the entire night, which is exactly what I wanted. Also, I asked Julius to play older Persian songs — like songs that were popular when I was growing up. He totally got it. He played my and my family’s favorite songs and even mixed in some more up to date stuff that has the same vibe. I couldn’t ask for anything more. He was instrumental in making our wedding a very memorable and fun party. And also, he’s super nice and easy to talk to.

We hired DJ Julius for our wedding and he was great. He has his music and lighting game on point. He was able to balance Persian and American music, was a great MC, and kept the party going. Our dance floor was very lively, and all our guests enjoyed the evening.
Julius really knows how to gauge the crowd and play the appropriate music to fit the mood. We would highly recommend him for a wedding or other event!

We had Julius as our wedding DJ/​MC about a year ago. We had already contacted a couple of other DJs in SD area (all Persian, like us), and by far Julius was the most professional, responsive and polite one. Quick communication via phone or email was great as we were planning the wedding from the east coast. He met with us as many times as we wanted before the day, received our list of songs (and our blacklist!), mixed them to our liking to the smallest details and worked with us to choreograph the wedding day sequence of events. Apart from the business side of things, he was a great DJ/​MC and we were completely satisfied with his work.

I had the pleasure of working with DJ Julius this last year and he is hands down one of the best DJ’s out there. He was very professional every step of the way and provided my clients with exactly what they were looking for! His DJ services, lighting, and extra instrumentals they hired through him were superb. Every single guest was out on the dance floor ALL NIGHT long. It was truly an incredible experience! If you want the best, he is your man!!! Being a professional belly dancer I have seen, danced in, or have been involved in thousands of productions world wide! I am telling you from a professional prospective, the DJ is the key to everything!!! Parties running smoothly, weddings on time, and if they are good; keeping life flowing through the end of the event! Julius is the best of the best. His natural attention to detail allows him to specifically cater each event and music needs to his audience, no matter what. It is an honor to have shared the stage with this master.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Julius for at least fifteen years, i must have seen him in at least fifty or more party’s and he has always gone above and beyond to make sure that everyone is having an amazing time. I will tell you how special this person is. Tonight is my daughters wedding and I hadn’t planned on having a DJ at the party because this was just a religious ceremony at the house before the big wedding in a month. I just called him and left a message. Within five minutes he called me back and even though he already had plans he changed them to fit me into his schedule. I am sure this will be a night to remember thanks to Julius. Thank you Julius for being who you are.

We hired DJ Julius to be the DJ at our wedding. He was everything we imagined and more! He turned out to be MORE than a DJ. He became our Visual Audio guy as well. He draped the entire ballroom, put up all the LED up lights, set up the spot lights, provided a projector to display a slide show, and played the absolute best music during our wedding. He had everyone dancing the entire night. We asked him to play Persian music, Latin music, and top 40s. He did a fantastic job mixing between these music types.
He was so great that we had tons of guests asking for his contact info to hire him for their future events.
DJ Julius was absolutely amazing and helpful. Anything we requested, if it was possible to do, he would do his best to make it happen. He is the most humble and honest person we have ever met. He never attempted to up charge us, or hustle us into purchasing anything more just to make extra money off of us. He gave great suggestions and through the process he continued to be extremely helpful and polite. He made sure that all the attention would be on us that night, and not on him. I can’t say enough about him.
We definitely plan to use him in the future for other events, and have referred him to friends. My advice would be to book him early. Couple of our friends tried to book him about 3 months in advance and he was already booked for the date they wanted.

Hands down the BEST DJ! DJ Julius was my wedding DJ on 5÷24÷14 in Thousand Oaks, CA. He was professional, friendly, prompt, and gave the best advice for the wedding timeline. I danced all night long. My guests were very pleased and expressed how they enjoyed his music and energy. I recommend DJ Julius for weddings and other social events. He truly goes out of his way to make your experience wonderful!

My husband I just got married on 5÷17÷2014 at an outdoor venue (I know, both aghd and reception were outdoors!!). Obviously noise was an issue from the get go but Julius drove up from SD to Thousand Oaks 3 months in advance just to make sure he knew where things were located and how to set the system up so that we wouldn’t be dealing with noise complaints. When the complaints started he managed everyone without incident and the party raged on!
We had discussed possible lighting upgrades since we had market lighting and lanterns, and he said he would take care of it. When we entered the reception site the sun had just set and you could see the most amazing blush lighting that added just the perfect touch to our décor… and all of this was done without bothering us with pesky questions or having the typical ‘cheesy disco’ look.
Throughout the whole afternoon and evening, he was prompt, professional, authoritative when he had to be, and played the most amazing mix of songs I have heard in a long time. He even managed to mix Depeche in the middle of persian music because my husband is a die hard fan! I can’t speak more highly of him and would recommend him to anyone out there looking for a DJ to host their party. Our guests did not want to leave, and neither did we!

DJ Julius Dj’d my friend Matt’s fundraiser at Jakes Wine Bar in Hillcrest. He was so much fun and totally played music that kept the crowd interested, partying and dancing!!! The entire bar was lovin’ it! Thank you for making the night so fun and memorable!!! You are the BEST!

DJ Julius is a must if you are wanting all your guests on the dance floor having a blast. He has been the most professional, responsive, flexible and best quality of services/​value vender we have had. We had so many questions for him and he would always have the answers for us. No matter what we asked of him he would have it done for us. From being our DJ/​MC for the night to our lighting expert. He truly went above and beyond for us and money well spent, worth every penny. Our guests were so impressed when they walked into our banquet room because of his up-​lights throughout our banquet room.

We got DJ Julius and his band — and both myself and my husband as well as ALL of our guests were impressed with ALL OF THEM! I cannot thank Julius enough for being so professional, yet easy to work with — weddings are so so soooo stressful but Julius always reassured us that everything would turn out perfect. We provided him with a few songs that we loved, and he picked all the rest. There was not a single song that I did not like. We also got our uplights and spot lighting as well as dance floor lighting and screens for our slideshow from Julius and it was just PERFECT! My wedding was on July 27^th and Julius was FANTASTIC. My husband and i are from different backgrounds (He’s French, I’m Persian, raised in the States), so lots of differing kinds of music and taste. He did an incredible job keeping everyone on the dance floor. I have gotten so many calls from family and friends about how wonderful the music and the MC was.

We hired Julius for our wedding 8 years ago. I can only imagine how much BETTER he is now. I had paid for a wedding coordinator as well and let’s just say Julius ran the show. He did EVERYTHING. Not only he was an AWESOME DJ, but he did what my wedding coordinator did not.

Planning a wedding is very stressful and if you are like me photography and music are the most important vendors! I feel blessed to have been referred by a family friend who went to a wedding that DJ Julius was playing at. He was SO professional and dressed so well and he knew how to keep the music and crowd going! I hired his band as well and last minute through in the sax player and I am so thankful I did! AMAZING is all I can say! All of my guest wouldn’t stop commenting that the DJ and the band were the best they have ever heard… the best! He knows how to act fast and change things up when it needed it! I had alot of bumps in my time line which were of NO fault of the Julius but my point is that he knew how to act fast so there was never a dull moment! I also married into a different culture, I am Colombian/​Peruvian and my husband is a white boy country dude and Julius balanced the music like you wouldn’t believe!

If I write a review on Unilocal,it’s not because the business is mediocre. As it usually is I guess in life. People rave about a place, or they find it so awful they have to tell the world about it. Well, DJ Julius is part of the first category. He is so good, I mean really, really good that I just had to write a review about him.
My wife and I got married in 2005, and we were blessed to have DJ Julius at our wedding then. He is not only very good at mixing songs, and mixing them correctly by making the transitions seamless between completely different categories of songs, but his whole personality is simply amazing! Every wedding he has been to, birthday party, engagement party, outdoor concert event, has been amazing! And I have seen him enough times, heard him enough times that I cannot but help to smile and go up and chat with him at every one of his events! Seriously folks, if you love not good music, but GREAT music, then you need a GREAT DJ. You don’t want to cut corners, because a DJ can make or break a party, and DJ Julius ALWAYS makes the event very memorable!
