My recent experience at DVM Smog couldn’t have been better. The young man working that day was courteous, personable and efficient. The work space was clean and spacious and the price was fair. The hours of operation and location make it convenient for a working person. I highly recommend this place.

This place is great. In and out with no frills. I’ve taken my car here twice now and will continue to bring my car in when it needs to be smogged. The service is quick and efficient and they are priced right. You can visit their website and print out a coupon before going in to save a couple of extra bucks. I also like the fact that I do not have to make an appointment. I just show up and they take care of me. Highly recommended!

In and out in less than 15 minutes! Talk about fast service! The price was a little lower than most places in SD which was a huge plus! Will come back for my other car.

This guy is either a crook or incompetent. My wife brought her car here and it fails HCF — measured 76 when the max is 52. I take the car over to Mid-​City Smog at 3085 Madison Av in North Park and it easily passes at 7! That’s a big discrepancy. I asked this guy for a refund and get nothing.

I called a lot of places to check prices before going in, and this smog check was the lowest price of any in the area– about $ 40. The tech (I think his name was Edward) was friendly, fast and professional. I was referred by a friend who also had positive experience.

Decided to give them a try after reading positive reviews. I had one person ahead of me. My entire test took 5 minutes. The young man who was working was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend.

Fast and the guy was nice. Even checked the air in my tires when I asked bc I didn’t have a gauge.

I initially has an appointment for just smog but was a few minutes late and it was outrageously busy. No appointment needed here, and received excellent service with a smile!

I was there last friday, The guy who helped me i think his name’s Edward, he was really nice and polite, even i knew he’s busy but he let me know ahead how long i have to wait, and it’s a really great deal as i can’t find other place with this cheap price. I came here based on the reviews but unfortunately my experience wasn’t as great as most of the other customers. Overall it was fast service but I thought the gentleman who performed my smog check was to a certain degree disrespectful. I was walking within view of my vehicle talking on my phone and for some reason he felt the need to direct me to sit down around the corner three times.
Do you need to go through my car where I can’t see you perform the smog check? How many times do I have to say no thank you? Obviously he was not confident in his work if I can’t be in view of my vehicle. It made for an uncomfortable experience. I won’t be returning.

If you need a fast, cheap and well done smog check this is the place. I called for a smog check and showed up 15 mins later. I was able to get in and out in 15 mins and be on my way. I would recommend this place if you need a smog check. Make sure to check their site for the coupon!

My normal spot was bought by some guy that wouldn’t test my car because of some noise from the engine. Brought it here on a Sunday and he tested it. It was fine.
I was able to get my registration renewed. Thanks DVM!!!
And, the noise turned out to be nothing. Dealer found the problem and it got fixed. It had no impact on smog output.
So, goodbye old spot.

The guys here were super nice! I’m huge on customer service. I didn’t make an appointment so when I got there they let me know right away there would a short wait and if I left my keys with them they would call when my car was ready. I walked to get lunch and came back as they were finishing my car about 40 minutes later.

Probably the easiest smog I’ve experienced!
I called about 15 minutes to closing that I was down the street and needed a smog. The tech offered to stay for me since he had a car in the bay anyway.
When I pulled up I filled out the paperwork as the tech finished up with the previous customer. The smog itself was quick. This place is really low frills, but I would rather be in and out of the smog than wasting time waiting at a fancier smog place.
Be sure to download/​print a coupon from their website. My 2004 Mazada 3 was $ 38 including certificate.

I had a great experience at this station. The service was very friendly and professional. Plus, I was in and out in under 20 minutes! That’s hard to beat in my experience. See you in two years for my next smogging!

My roommate and I had just moved to California from out of state & needed to get a smog check to register our vehicles. We got here at around 8:45 am on a Wednesday an there was no wait. We had tried to print a coupon off of their website but had hardly any ink so it was barely visible, but they accepted it anyway. He got us right in and was super friendly. We were both out of there in maybe 40 minutes.
I would recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

Easy peasy… I had one person in front of me so my wait was about 45 mins. Not too bad. Staff was very friendly and price was do-​able.

I actually went to this Smog Check station specifically because of the positive remarks I read yesterday (Saturday 17 Aug 2013).
I was at the door ready for my newly purchased vehicle to be ‘smogged’ when the station opened sharply at 8 am. Thomas was the only man working; a very pleasant demeanor, respectful and very focused as well. After a few moments of filling out paperwork he needed, he began the process of pulling my car into the garage bay doors to begin the test. All in all, I was in and (literally) OUT of the place within 20 minutes. I could have been out sooner since I have a habit of chatting with other people around me.
While I was waiting for my vehicle, I asked other customers that pulled up for service if they had been here before to learn that 4 out of the 5 waiting said they had been coming to this shop «for the last 6 years.» Very impressive in my opinion.
Long story short… I feel very comfortable recommending this shop to anyone searching for an HONEST smog station… no-​fuss, no-muss…no hype and certainly no B.S. trying to up-​sell you on crap you don’t need.
$ 38.00 for my newly purchased Mercedes Benz E class sedan. Not a bad deal.
