Have to admit they are helpful and quick. They offer $ 5 off on a car wash when you get a smog check. I was recommend to come here at last min, i made the effort to come from el cajon city to this place and yes it was worth the drive! It is a great and clean location! I really need to check my mail more often, but I’m just used to emails and having all my statements electronically delivered! Story of my life… Anyway, vehicle registration was due in a few days, so there I was, rushing to beat Star Station’s 1:30pm closing time this past Sunday. Dropped in with no appointment, but was taken in immediately.
No frills location and extremely speedy service. They quoted 15 minutes, but it was done in under 10 and there’s plenty of space to leave your car there in case there is a line. I’ve been to other smog stations in the past and it’s a bit cumbersome if you’re waiting in a huge line and have to keep moving your car in a tiny parking lot. So overall, great location right off aero drive and murphy canyon! It believe the gas station is Chevron, so keep an eye out for that next to the carwash. They do offer a carwash special (hand dry) for $ 10 with the smog check, which I had to decline as I was in a hurry. Keep in mind that not all smog stations are STAR certified, so don’t waste your money at those locations.
Friendly staff, convenient location, and open on Sundays, what’s not to to love?
