Erica was such a good service adviser. She assisted me with my car needs. She was so helpful at Pacific Hwy that I followed her to the Aero Drive. I can’t wait for Erica to assist me with my next service.

I have been using Aero Auto Repair for many years. I have always found them to be honest and for a woman who knows little about cars this is what I need. Everytime I take my car there they let me know exactly what is wrong and they fix it promptly. I can always notice the difference as soon as I drive it (if the problem was causing noise or vibration, or had a visible leak). The waiting room and facilities are so nice, not like ordinary car repair places. They will also take you home and pick you up. (I usually stay as it is so nice there). I have had some major work done on my van, as it had 212,000 miles on it and I just got another van in April.
I would highly recommend this facility. They are just off 15 on Aero Drive. Try them.

I was forced to have the engine replaced in my 2009 AUDI A4. The staff at Aero is phenomenal! They’ve taken care of me through not only replacing my engine, but also other major repairs in the past few months. Ryan went the extra mile to help me save in any way possible and the technician that worked on my car (I forgot his name) was fantastic! The tech showed me exactly what he was doing and the parts that he was fixing. These two individuals, although awesome, are not in short supply at Aero auto. Every employee I’ve met there is honest and pleasant to work with. I definitely recommend them for any automotive needs. My car has been running better each time they’ve worked on it. Thank you!

I had an appointment to check my alternator. The day before, my alternator quit, and I had to have my car towed in. Even though the appointment was to check the alternator, they replaced the alternator the same day as the original appointment. I think this was excellent customer service, which resulted in a minimum of inconvenience for me. I have never been disappointed with my service at Aero Auto Repair.

I am surprised that I have to write this review because of all the positive comments I see here on Unilocal,but today I did not have an experience like the others.
I came in for a smog check on my newly purchased 88 Vanagon and made sure to have all mechanical conditions checked out prior to ensure a proper passing test. After leaving them the car for 4 hours I received a call that the car passed the whole test but one evap item and that they could diagnose the problem for $ 118 and then find out how much it would be to fix. Before accepting the charge I decided to do some researching.
After goggling around I found that this portion of the test should not be performed because there is no accurate way of performing it (almost all fail on my type of van, due to inaccuracy because they have to fully pinch a hard plastic hose, which as we know you cannot fully seal a hard plastic object by pinching it) and that my car is fully acceptable to have «not applicable» in that section and «the state» does not have problem with it. Just to be sure I called around to 3 other smog stations in the area (obviously you can’t believe everything you read on the internet) and they all informed me that the statement I read was true and they do not perform the test on that part due to the inaccuracies (this was not just to get me in there, I did go and «pass» right after my «fail» with Aero Auto Repair). This in combination with another bad experience I had (brought another car there to get smogged after a repair and it failed because the battery was disconnected the day before, if I would have known I would have waited, as to not pay another full price smog just to have me do nothing but drive it around for a week before I brought it in) made me feel like I was getting cheated, so I said that I don’t believe the service that they were providing was fair and that I will have to report it to my credit card and they can decide if this sounds legitimate.
The gentleman behind the counter (David) told me that he has my car and I cannot get it back now until I pay cash, that he has the power to not accept my credit card and that the only way I can get my car back is to pay cash (pretty shady if you cannot backup your claims to a credit dispute and demand cash in my opinion). Well I haven’t carried around cash with me for the last 10 years, so on top of the entire bad experience he wanted me to go walking around (he has my car) to go find an ATM down the street (Very poor customer service if you ask me). After 15 minutes of back and forth he finally accepted to take my credit card and I left not a very happy customer.
I drove right down the street to find out that my claims were true and that I passed the smog test in 15 minutes! and it was cheaper. The station I went to also told me that if I would have failed they would perform re-​tests for FREE! (Aero Auto didn’t even want to give me a discount for smog re-​test that failed because the battery was disconnected).
In the end it wasn’t so much of the pass/​fail that was so disappointing but just the lack of customer service (but the $ 80 failed test that didn’t have to fail does sting). There are ways you can offer assistance to help build a good customer/​shop relationship and I didn’t see any from my experience today.

Aero Auto Repair got me in quickly for an oil change and serviced my car fast as I waited. They were super friendly and gave me a great deal too.

I am super happy with the service I got at Aero! I have a 90 toyota pick up that has had a check engine light on for about 2 years. I have taken it to the 3 mechanics and the toyota dealer and none of them were able to find the issue. They all made repairs non of which fixed the issue. Then that day came when I needed to get the emissions done. I did a little research on Car Talk’s Mechanics Files and found Aero since they are a Star location and a certified repair shop (just incase I was ready to apply for the waiver). Anyway, Ryan got my «i know everything speech» which was probably annoying to say the least (sorry Ryan!). I gave in and said give it your best and in about an hour he called me to say they found two small issues and gave it a run on the Smog machine and it PASSED! They also found a few other suggested repairs that will help us keep running for a while.

This business will not take you for a ride. It will always respect you and treat you fairly. It is very popular with women as it is owned and employes, I’m sure only, qualified women as witnessed while waiting for the repair. The respect runs through the ethics of this outfit from respecting women, who often feel like they are taken advantage of when it comes to mechanical issues, to when we diagnose incorrectly and they only do what is necessary and required, educating us gently as to what was the problem, what needs to be done to take care of it and what perhaps needs to be done down the road, so to speak. Loyal clientele when they know them all by name… impressive!

I had a 2004 Pontiac montana that suddenly seemed to have a valve issue. I drove it less than a mile to Aero, they took it into the shop and worked on it for a few days. I was initially told that they had repaired it, but when it was reassembled it had the same exact issue. Long story short I was left with a $ 800 repair bill. The van was in the same condition (barely running) and they had no idea what the problem was. I was told that they could further repair it, but it would cost at least $ 800 more to only figure out what the issue is. I don’t know what was up with the van, but it seems fishy to me. For over $ 1600 I would expect some kind of guarantee. I won’t ever go back to this auto shop, nor would I advise anyone else to go there.

This was my first but by no means last experience with Aero Auto Repair. These folks are as good as it gets for customer service and the mechanics are fast and efficient as well. Went for a smog check and oil change and was given a list of recommendations for future service but was not pressured in any way. I ended up having them put on new wiper blades (which I knew I needed) and having them clean and adjust my rear brakes. I will be returning in a week or two to have the other things that were on the list taken care of. In one short visit today I now have a go to place for all my auto needs. Lynette has superior customer service skills and is also very knowledgeable about car repairs. THANK YOU AERO. YOU MADE MY DAY!!!

We’ve had them repair all of our oil leaks, change the water pump, thermostats, distributor cap and wires,
All of thier work was spot on!

I was treated well and given a breakdown of what needed to be fixed. They found problems relevant to my initial requests and didn’t go overboard finding extra things that needed repairs that I did not bring up initially, which I appreciated. Repairs were very quick, I got my car back in less than a full business day. I was offered (and accepted) a free courtesy rental car to get me to my appointments the next day but it was all done so quickly I didn’t even need it! A/​C works great and the brakes are golden. Comfy couches in the waiting room too.
Was given fair pricing as well — they suggested I get my struts fixed but I held off due to the price. After doing some shopping I found Aero is giving a pretty good price on the repair on those, so I will be returning later on to get those fixed.

I cant emphasize their FRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE staff. They have a very clean office environment and they greet you as you walk in. You are also offered something to drink (non-​alcoholic; that’s why I only rated 3 stars (made you look)).
Lynette was very professional, organized, and genuinely cared for the customers needs. She was knowledgeable about everything the mechanic was doing and answered all my questions elaborately. When she left to find out whether I had passed/​failed smog she had came back into the office singing and dancing «You passed smog! You passed smog!» I think she was more excited about it than I was! I’ll be back for sure.

I had my second experience with Aero Auto Repair today and I chose to come back after the first time because this shop is so kid friendly! I have a four year old and we needed extensive work done so we had a good three hours to spare in the waiting area. There were ample toys/​cars/​puzzles to keep my son occupied the whole time, plus snacks and beverages that were complimentary. I was able to use the free Wi-​Fi and get some work done while we waited. Since we were there overlapping lunch hour, the owner even bought us lunch which is something they do every other Friday at the shop for customers!
Lynette and Ryan at the front desk provided excellent customer service and were patient when explaining all my repair options. I never felt pressured to get more work done than I wanted, etc. This team gets 5 stars and I will definitely be using Aero Auto Repair again!

You’ll feel ripped off after the second time you bring your car back in for the same issues you originally bring your car in for. The mechanics have got to be lazy not to do a thorough check of all possibilities that may causing problems.
I originally brought my car in because the radiator consistently needed water and the gears would not change to get me past 40mph without revving my engine past 40rpms.
So the diagnosis was I had a loose water hose that it was barely fastened and a couple speed sensors were bad and needing to be replaced. I felt get good because I left thinking I got a deal and things weren’t as bad as it seemed.
HOWEVER, low and behold a week later, I start experiencing the same exact problems of what I originally brought my car in for.
ROUND TWO, I take my care in and apparently now the water pump was bad and another sensor was needing to be replaced.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
All this should have been caught the first time I visited the location. The garage was given specific details as to what I was experiencing and from what I experienced the details either were not conveyed or my testimonial fell on deaf ears. The additional parts didn’t cost so much but now I’m paying DOUBLE THE LABOR CHARGE which is where they get you. The second time around I paid just as much as the first in labor expenses. OUCH!
These guys are a class act when it come to half
ass-​ing a job only to get you back in for the same issues then charge you a second time again for labor because they won’t do a complete and thorough quality maintenance check the first time around.
If you’re thing you’re getting a deal… just wait, it’ll be a just enough to get you out the door only to return with the same problems. The excuse given…“the computer didn’t tell us the first time.” REALLY?
Seems like any monkey can throw in a mechanic jumpsuit and push a couple buttons not to claim their a mechanic. I’d think twice about coming to Aero Auto… you may just be paying twice the cost of labor for something that should have need identified the first time around.

Last year, I bought a 2009 MINI Cooper Clubman S (standard transmission). It was an extra car for me because I’ve always wanted one and my other vehicle was paid for. Anyway, after having it only a year (and only driving it part-​time), the clutch started slipping. I contacted the dealer to make an appointment for replacing only to be told that the clutch wasn’t covered under my extended warranty – that it was considered wear and tear – and that I should stop driving the car like a racecar :| Really? Anyway, they quoted me over $ 3k to replace the clutch (and that it would be 3wks before they could get my car in). Not satisfied, I shopped around and found Aero Auto Repair. Lynette was very understanding and patient as she heard my concerns. I was able to bring my car down the same day and received an estimate for $ 1.7k – almost half – and they could start on it the next day.
During the course of the repairs, other issues were noted that drove the original quote to over $ 3k. Concerned with the other issues, I contacted the dealer immediately. The other issues were covered under my warranty, but it would still take 3 wks to get it in to start work on it. I explained it was already being repaired by another repair shop. The most helpful advice I received from the dealer was to ask Aero Auto if they would use my warranty company… and they did!
The work took only a few days (had to order some of the parts) and the final price was under $ 1k…thank you, Lynette. And, this crappy MINI Cooper now drives like a brand new car! Amazing customer service… excellent quality work… patient and understanding staff!!!

I will always come back to Aero Auto Repair. Ryan and Lynette provide excellent and personable customer service. They are very thorough with ensuring everything is taken care of perfectly. The technicians are extremely knowledgeable about my car. I drive a Nissan Z and feel to be in great hands with Aero Auto and their team!

Unbelievably great experience. They inspected my brakes and gave me an honest estimate for work to be done. Lynette is great, she was so outgoing and honest throughout the process. The wifi is great for waiting, as is the comfy couch.

The first few times I went there, I was extremely pleased with the service and attention. The staff members are friendly and they are great at keeping you up to date. When I left my car there for a few repairs, they went out of their way to let me know that my tires needed to be changed ASAP, no matter what it took.
The reason for giving less than 5 stars is that I tried to get my car in for an oil change prior to moving, and it was going to be more than a week before they could get me in. For repairs and what not, I’d always been able to get in next day. Why the sudden busy schedule? Driving by, there weren’t any more cars than usual in the back lot. I didn’t have that long to wait and was not about to drive across 4 states without an oil change first. Ended up going somewhere that could get us in same day and they did a great job.
Again, overall customer service is great and everyone really knows what they are doing. If I still lived there, I’d go back for additional big repairs, but never again would I give them my business for an oil change or other small services. Something just isn’t right if an oil change has to wait for more than a week, especially when it’s a returning customer.
