I really think that any business should begin to pay attention to what they are doing and what impact their action might have upon them. First of all, I do not write bad review to make someone’s business suffered; but the help other consumers be aware of how they conduct. Shift Auto and Tires are pretty close to my house, so I took my car there for the tune-​up (misfiring). At first, the staff was really helpful and kind. I thought I got to the right place and hoped that they fix my car just right. After a few hours waiting, they came pick me up and told me my car was ready. It cost about $ 400 for replacing the sparks and foils. After a week or so, I noticed that my car made some weird noise and the exhaust was screeching. So I took my car to another auto shop. I couldn’t believe it when they’d told me my car was taking too much air inside. It turned out that Shift Auto staff, whoever it was, didn’t put my engine in place properly. There were missing screws, cut-​up wire and tubes. Again, it cost me about $ 200 to fix all that messed-​up. And just a few days later, I discovered that they were lying about filling up my car’s engine oil and other fluids. There weren’t nothing. I feel betrayed and disrespected. No one should be afraid to take their car to an auto shop and feel like a idiot because they’re being scammed.
I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent service and friendly. Make sure you don’t confuse this with the Tire Express. This one is located close to the road and only has two bays. I have used the other and they are terrible and cheats. Shift is trustworthy.

I had the best service ever. I had a tire that had no threading and you can see the silver metal come out of it I was broke and only had a little on me but with Victor and his partners help I fix my tire and they probably save my life

This place is shit. Took my car here for a fast service oil change & the wait was at most 30 minutes, the guy (Victor) said. Came back an hour later, the car was just being elevated on the tracks. The guys here are rude and couldn’t even say sorry, but just blamed the customers instead. Don’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be treated like shit.

Sign says $ 19.99 for oil change. What they mean is $ 24.99 with a hidden fee. You can get it next door for $ 18.99 l.
I don’t like deceptive marketing.

I drop my wife’s van off for a simple oil change, I come back and the hood is still open. I asked the gentleman at the register if they are done and he mentions to me I need a new air filter, and that they check for these things when they change the oil. He said I could go look for myself and that they already took the air filter out and placed it on top of the engine. Indeed the air filter they presented was dirty and needed to be thrown out, only issue was that was not my air filter. You see, I just got back from deployment and checked for these things myself to see what needed to be changed. I was very happy to be home so I was still very light hearted and even found the whole situation humorous.
The filter he showed me was no where close to it what I just looked at hours before I turned it into them. They tried to get me for a complete coolant flush too and showed me a completely empty reservoir. Yes, I even checked that too. I looked around to see if I could find my container of coolant lying around somewhere that they just emptied.
I was shocked and mildly insulted, that they thought I wouldn’t know any better, I was very aware at what just happened. I walk over to the guy and said, «No, I’ll pay for the oil change and put my coolant back in the car please.» He looked at me what seemed nervous and looked away as I stared him in the eye.
I am going back, with my other car that I know inside and out as I’ve done everything from oil changes to clutch replacement myself to it. I dare them to do this dishonest act again. And I will also be ready with the camera.
Note to Readers: All car owners in my opinion should have some basic degree of knowledge of their multi thousand dollar piece of equipment they rely on and whats under its hood.

I had been taking my cars to this shop for two years but it changed ownership around Jan 2014. I had to have my car towed into the shop and they claimed they had to change the battery (claiming it was bad), they did an oil change and replaced the spark plugs. And I also explained that the Check Engine light was staying on and to please check and see what is causing that.
They turned it off and couldnt figure it out. Told me to drive it and see if it came back on. I drove it about two weeks and it came back on. So I wanted to put the car back in the shop when I had alittle more money. I finally took the car to them in March and they kepted it over night working on it I picked it up on Saturday and they told me to drive it like i do and if the check engine light comes back on to bring it back so i drove it over the weekend and on Sunday I was in hemet looking at a place to live and I had stopped and put gas in the car as I am pulling out of the gas station the check engine light comes on and stays on so i call them and i take my car back over to them on the way home to elcajon. They aske if i could leave it over night and see it they could fix it.
So I said sure. So on monday i called and asked if i should get a rental and the guy told that might be a good idea. because i was leaving for Vegas on Tuesday. So I go a rental and told them that they were to call me on my cell phone for any repairs. that I wanted authorize any repairs. Well i didnt hear from them and finally on my way home from Vegas on Thursday I called to check on the process. They informed that they had my engine take apart and that they were doing a vowel job (might you I had not recieved a phone call and didnt authorized)
I said what I did authorize that and that I was not going to pay for it. I stopped on the way home and told them I am refusing to pay 530 for something that i didnt get a phone call to authozie the work. At the point I was then told that the owner had drove my car home the night before and I said no one called me and asked if he could do that. I was told it was for a test drive. Taking someone car home to test drive with out the owners permission thats a no no.
They they tried to tell me that the check engine was on because the cannister and the hoses had a leak and they were going to charge me 585. I told them no your not. That your taken advantage of a woman and that she is a smart woman and took my car and left.
After 1900.00 I took the car to a dealership in Hemet and guess what all it needed was a GMC gas cap the check engine light has been on since.
Ladies avoid this auto repair shop. since it is under new ownership I would trust my dogs with this company
