Chris was an honest straight ace of a guy with us. We owned a condo in La Jolla until 2014. There was an issue with microwave being on a shared circuit with half the rooms in the condo causing the breaker to trip on use. The other electricians (2 other quotes) that we contacted wanted around $ 1200 dollars to fix the problem. Chris found another way, and it only cost us $ 200 with limited wall cutting compared to the other guys. Realize, he may not be able to do this on every job. The other guys just wanted big money! Chris took the time to explore all the options, not just milk us for cash. This tells you what a fair and honest guy he is. I only wish I could find someone like him where I live now! I hope you are doing well Chris! Sorry for the year late review!

Chris really cares about customer service which seems to be rare with businesses nowadays. I chose this company based on the positive reviews that I had read beforehand. I needed to find a new electrician and was unsure who to contact. I called and scheduled an appointment for some minimal work that I needed done. I paid what was charged and was given a price before work started. Later on I wanted an explanation regarding the pricing and decided to contact Chris via email. He was prompt with his reply and he wanted to be sure that I was happy with the pricing as it related to the work. He worked with me regarding the pricing of some other jobs that I needed to be done. I rescheduled for more work and he went out of his way to give great customer service. Justin did an excellent job and was on time each time and was knowledgeable and polite. I would recommend them for any electrical work that you need to be done.

I must say that Emerald Pacific Electric was the most efficient service-​based company I have ever worked with! I sent an e-​mail on Friday, received a return e-​mail from Chris on Saturday to set-​up an appointment for Monday. Justin came out and completed the project in about an hour. Justin called ahead to let me know he was on the way. He was prompt, clean and polite.

these guys are top notch! i went through two other electrical companies while upgrading the lighting in my house. the work they did was top notch! they use great, quality materials and have great installations. they took the time to carefully run the wires to get them in places i thought would be impossible without cutting up my walls (like the pervious companies did)
you wouldn’t even know they came and left, they don’t leave any evidence that construction went on in your home, even vacuumed my carpets!

Chris came out to do an estimate at our house. He was so friendly, professional, and thorough. He gave us plenty of options for grounding options and he was not pushy about selling us or price. If we move forward with our remodel and upgrades we will definitely call Chris!

Chris was so awesome! Back in June, I was installing a second wall oven in my kitchen and needed to run a dedicated 220 from the panel. Most electricians we had come look at it wanted to cut a bunch of holes in my ceiling (to run the shortest route from the panel to the kitchen) and would require that I deal with the drywall repair separately.
When Chris came, I had mentioned the attic idea and his immediate reaction was that he wouldn’t do it any other way as this was the cleanest solution. The only hole he would cut would be right behind the wall oven. Chris was the only one that took the time to open up my current oven to see that it was actually only 20 amps and that the panel may have just needed a little cleanup/​update rather than a complete upgrade (as other electricians have suggested). On top of all this, Chris’ price was very reasonable so I decided to go with him.
On the day of the install, Chris came with one helper and did exactly what he had told me. He cut one hole on the wall where the oven would be installed. He ran metal conduit up the side of the house and into the attic. He drilled a hole from the attic down to the kitchen to drop the line in. He even installed the box based on the drawing that my cabinet maker had drawn up so that I can give my cabinet guy the precise measurement of where to cut a hole in the back of the cabinet in order to feed the power to the wall oven. He put the piece of drywall that he had cut out so I didn’t even need to repair it myself. He also checked that my new oven actually only required 20 amps instead of the 40 that the website had listed which means I really did not need to upgrade to 200 amps right now as the other electrician had suggested! I also had Chris install a ceiling fan and cleaned up my panel while he was here. He did all this in 6 hours, only took a minor break in between.
Chris came back a week after I had the cabinets installed to install the wall oven. Everything went off without a hitch. Chris is so diligent and respectful and personable. I am definitely going to call him for any future electrical work!

Chris was great! I called about a fluorescent kitchen light that was flickering off, and he explained that it probably just needed a new ballast (since the fixture had power), and he said it would be around $ 100 to fix.
We scheduled the appointment a couple days in advance for Saturday at 8:30am, and he arrived promptly. He removed and replaced the T-​12 lamp 40 watt ballast for $ 109 total. He was courteous, responsive, and efficient. I would definitely use them again :)

Chris and the guys at Emerald did a job for me that included running power out to an entertainment area in my backyard. They had to dig a trench to bury the cable underground, including lifting up the turf and laying it back down at the end of the day. They started on time, finished on time and on budget. I got two quotes and Emerald was the cheaper of the two. They were very friendly and professional and didn’t leave a mess. This was about a month ago and I am very happy with the quality of their work. Chris even gave me some tips on installing LED kitchen lights that I was able to do myself, saving me money. Top notch… I know who I will be calling next time I need any electrical work done.

Chris showed up on time and was extremely friendly. I had a great feeling about him from the start. He knew what to do to make my vision of what I wanted to become a reality. Back in May we had a circuit go that affected half our house including our fridge. We had tried to reset it a few times with no luck. I called Emerald Pacific and left a message explaining the issue and noted that we had some urgency in getting someone out since we had family coming into town. Chris called back right away and fit us in the very next day! He came out and to my embarrassment was able to reset the circuit with no issue! Oops. He told us to call again if we had a repeat and to just leave everything as is. He was nice enough not to charge us even though I am sure it interfered with his scheduling that day!
Luck would have it that it happened again later that night. I called Chris and again he fit us in that next day. He was able to debug the issue and put in a fix. He took the time to talk to me about our old cabling and any different options for upgrading if we continued to have issues.
Chris was personable, efficient and knows what he is doing! I will definitely be calling him again!

We had a vision for an outdoor lighting project but needed an outlet installed on the outside of the house in a random spot. Chris was great from the moment I called him. He gave me an indication of what he thought it would cost but scheduled a time to come by that afternoon. After taking a look, he suggested another option which would cost much less.
We decided to go with his idea and the work was done in a timely manner and the quality of work was great. I will definitely be using Emerald Pacific Electric in the future.

I hired Emerald Pacific Electric to install a 240v /​50-​amp outlet in my kitchen, to make way for a brand new flat-​top GE oven from Home Depot. I called and spoke to Chris (very nice, professional, and down to earth guy!) and we scheduled him to come to my apartment at 10:00am on May 1^st, 2014.
My apartment is 30+ years old (as was my old oven!), and the old oven itself was hard-​wired to the wall (via a crusty cable coming out of the wall and plugged into the back of the oven). This old, hard-​wired configuration is out-​dated and not «up to code» for the installation any new, modern oven.
On the date of our scheduled appointment, Chris called me about 45min prior and asked if he could come early. I told him «absolutely» (early is always good)! Chris arrived, and within an hour, he had the old cable trimmed down to the wall (fortunately the cable’s internal wiring was well shielded and fully intact), and attached and installed it into a clean, fresh new outlet!
What I really appreciated is Chris’ level of precision. When he went outside to grab an additional tool item (about halfway into the job), I took a peek at his project. Chris had installed a brand new inside-​of-​the-​wall square enclosure for the outlet to reside in and protect it from any surrounding interference (prior to connecting the wires).
That level of detail right there showed me someone who takes their craft very seriously and does their very best during even the smallest of jobs. Chris also cleaned up his work area tidily and immaculately once the outlet was fully installed. In fact the area was cleaner than I had left it before Chris even arrived!
Oh and did I mention that the new oven performs like a rockstar? That’s 50-​amps of pure cookin’ kapow, baby!
