Express Moving

We requested 4 movers and only 3 were provided to move a five bedroom home of 2900 sq ft. We requested 100 pads to move everything and they only came with 50 moving pads. They damaged the walls of both houses, the one we moved from and the one we moved into. Also, the kitchen floor of the old house was damaged as well. Some furniture was damaged due to not having enough moving pads. Mark Rybikov who is the owner of Movers Express, has refused to pay for damages done to the homes as well as pay for damaged furniture done by the movers. We were referred to this company by Amy Cook, a realtor with Coastal Properties.

I’ve used these guys twice, different crew this time and they were awesome. We moved from 2^nd floor apt to 3 story townhouse. They were SO fast and efficient. I’ve moved a lot, across the country twice and this was the easiest yet.

This isn’t just a two guys and a truck type of deal these guys are professional. I was quoted reasonably took a hour more than expected and was never charged for more. The guys were on time and clean cut. Took great care of my items. And the owner Mark personally was involved in coming over and making sure we were happy. 7 hours of moving pulled off without a hiccup. My items all tooken care of. Thanks guys and thanks Mark.

This is the first time we used a moving company. They arrived in time and after a quick walk through of everything got right to work. We moved from a one-​story house to a two-​story house. They moved a lot of heavy furniture upstairs for us and even put our bed back together. I thought they were very time efficient and helpful. All together I thought we had a great experience and I would recommend them again.

Mark and his team at Express Moving are excellent! I have utilized their packing, wrapping, unwrapping, arranging, storage unit organizing, home moving and set up services numerous times over the last 5 years: four times for myself and one for my handicap mother.
Mark is friendly, professional, attentive and has always gone above and beyond to make sure our moves have been smooth, easy & non-​stressful. I cannot say every item has been perfect when we reached the next location, but I am a realist and know that unless I personally hand carry every item to my next locale, the reality is ‘stuff happens’ when in transition. Big deal, it is ‘stuff!’ Mark and Express Moving took care of both items that had minor issues.
We have moved numerous times over the last 22 years and I can honestly say, Mark and his Express Moving team are by far the BEST we have ever utilized! (Even way better than our expensive corporate transfer move from CO to CA!) I highly recommend the services of Express Moving to all my friends, family and clients.
Mark personally took the job of driving a truck over to Phoenix, AZ where he and crew assisted me in packing up, loading and driving my handicap mothers belongings to her new San Diego home. It was 125 degree heat (record breaking those 3 days in AZ! Let me tell you, it sucked!) the entire time we worked. Never once did any of the crew complain. What could have been an extremely stressful time for me with moving all the contents of my mothers home from one state to the next, was made easy via Express Moving. I will utilize Express Moving for my next move. I will continue to recommend their services to my friends, family and clients.

This is my third time using express moving and I am impressed every time! They do an amazing job every time, work diligently, care for all of my items while wrapping and arrange furniture at the new location. Mark and his team are affordable and provide quality moving service.

I received quotes from several companies through Thumbtack for a recent move, and Express Movers offered the best deal. I coordinated with Mark, the general manager, and he recognized right away that we wanted to do this in the most cost-​effective way possible. We wanted them to focus on the big items and keep it close to the 3-​hour minimum. To save money we planned to just move the little stuff on our own. We have a lot of stuff. Plus, we have 2 little boys, pets galore, and both places had tricky logistics for getting things in and out (stairs, narrow doors, etc.). This move was a huge undertaking in every way.
Manny and Marco were very courteous and careful, and they boogied! They got there right on time, and they didn’t start charging us until they had the truck in place and the first load out the door. They got everything moved that we had hoped they would, and in almost exactly 3 hours. We were left with just a few easy minivan trips, and we’re now happily enjoying our new home.
Side note– our friends also recently moved and hired those guys outside of Home Depot to help them, and their experience was NOT good. Apparently there was a lot of bickering and dropping/​banging things (and possibly sneaky drug use) going on. I’m relieved we hired professionals!

As if moving isn’t painful as it is… I had an emergency situation in which I had to move on short notice while I was out of town. My Dad was able to arrange Express Movers to come do the job! Thankfully Mark was extremely accommodating and able to schedule us immediately. The movers arrived and were very professional. They all worked diligently to complete the job timely (4 hours). The whole team was friendly and courteous. They provided all moving materials and were careful in the handling of all my personal property. Very reasonably priced. Thank you so much for doing a great job!

First off, I want to warn you. All of their 5 star reviews, are bought and paid for. Or friends trying to make the business look better.
Because if you’ve ever really used this company, you wouldn’t rate 5 stars.
We had a 700sq ft 2 bedroom. We were quoted 4 – 5 hours with two movers. Seems reasonable, since we didn’t have much and the new apartment was only 10 minutes away, It took 9 – 10 hours. They broke our desk, some dishes and laid down a 55″ plasma television. Our television ended up with blue lines. Awesome.
They took their time. They even left for a hour lunch. With our stuff. Without telling us.
My girlfriend ended up writing a review about them on their facebook page. Wow, do they like to fight back. There is no true customer service here. It’s almost like a collage frat that moves you stuff. Seriously, no matter how much they quote you, find someone new.
*As a rebuttal, I was never offered insurance. Second, our so called «friend» Jen, is a tweeker hooked on crystal meth. You shouldn’t take the words of a drug addict who probably ended up having sexual affairs with one or both of your movers. Fourth, it’s not polite to argue with your customer. And last, but not least, you also shouldn’t review your own company, as it’s not proper.

I had Serg, Mario, and Armando moving my storage locker out into my new house. The guys showed up on time with smiles on their faces and full of energy which gave me a kick in the morning…
This company is definitely not the biggest out there however the quality of the service and the options they offer is by far more advanced and affordable than most well known companies.
These guys covered all my carpets, tile and hardwood floor with adhesive rug-​runners and paper runners. They provided all packing materials and wardrobe boxes at no additional charge. They covered all the railings and doors with protective pads. The quality and efficiency here is definitely like no other!»

We need help (on our customers behalf) from time to time with loading services (for the elderly and disabled) or moving odd-​shaped/​commercial items (like large stainless steel refrigerators). Twice now Express Moving has helped me in a pinch, with great rates and service. I’ve come to Mark twice with urgent and stressful needs, and each time he came through quickly, politely, and professionally. He is now top-​dog in my referral list for loading and moving services. Wonderful customer service, Competitive rates, Quick response, and Quality work. He always gets the job done right. I am thankful and impressed by Express Moving! Thank you guys!

Mark’s comments could not be more false. 300 yards is three football fields. This was a move from the front door of my building to the closest curb. If it was 30 yards I would be shocked. I also received emails from him threatening a defamation lawsuit because I chose to share my experience on sites like Unilocal.Which sharing your comments and experiences is what Unilocal and other sites are built on and I’m threatened with a lawsuit. If this sounds like a company you would like to do business with then good luck

I thought these guys were great. They were courteous and very hard working! I would definitely use them again.

I used the Express movers service yesterday after seeing thr review on Unilocal.
Their was a slight delay but Mark make up for the delay by adding additional guys for the move… These guys worked non stop for 3+ hrs and were super fast. The furniture was packed nicely and all my furniture items were moved in record time and without a single scratch.
Needless to say. These guys exceeded my expectations and I will be using their services in the future for any requirement… :) Thanks Mark and Company!

The guys at Express Moving are amazing. My move would have been an absolute disaster without them. I moved from a 2 bedroom condo to a house. This move should have taken only 6 or 7 hours total, but the HOA at my condo threw every sort of wrench you could think of, at the Express Moving guys. Yet they handled it with professionalism and courtesy.
Even with four men, moving with speed that makes me tired just thinking about it, it still took almost 7 hours to move out of the condo and then another 3.5 — 4 to move into the new house. It was well past dark when they finished setting up my furniture (yes, even with the added hours, they stayed to set up all my furniture).
To top it all off, at the end of the night, Mark showed me my contract and he agreed to stick with this earlier quoted price, even though they’d worked well past the timeline we had agreed on before my HOA interfered. After all their hard work, I wouldn’t’ imagine only paying what he had quoted earlier, so I wrote the check for what they really deserved.
They are fair, professional, expert movers. Not one piece of furniture was damaged in anyway, and I was able to sleep in my new house that very night, even with all the speed bumps. I cannot say enough on the professionalism of this moving company.

I recommend Express Moving 100%! I interviewed several moving companies and Mark was persistent about getting my business. He has a thorough knowledge of his business and put my mind at ease.
Our move was a great experience and Mark and his crew worked extremely hard for two days moving us into our new home.
His team never stopped! They were very polite, intelligent and clean cut. They took great care moving my 4,000 sq ft home and didn’t break a thing. These guys made my experience so much better than I could have imagined or asked for. If you are looking for a great quality moving company then these guys should be your first choice!

I used express movers a few times, once for a full move and three more times for furniture deliveries from various stores. The guys were very detailed or iented and quick they delivered the furniture assembled it and placed it all how my wife and I wanted.
The guys went through all our options with wrapping and packing and offered various options to have our belongings insured while in transit (above basic minimum insurance)
Over all it was a pleasant experience to work with this company and we definitely will recommend them to all of our friends.

Outstanding customer service! I called at 6:00pm on a Saturday night because our original moving company never showed up and we were in a bind. The owner, Mark, answered my call immediately.
Although he couldn’t fit my move in for the next day, he did send me a text with the names and numbers to two other companies that might be able to help. Sure enough, we found someone who set us up for 9:00am the next morning (a Sunday)!
This act of kindness and genuine customer service was so welcome after such a rough day. Thank you!

This was the first experience I’ve had with movers. I figured it was a small price to pay to free my friends from helping out with yet another move.
The movers showed up 1.5 hours late. When they arrived, they insisted on me paying cash even though I was told cash or check was acceptable over the phone when I booked the appointment.
The movers themselves were some of the smallest guys I’ve seen! They took their time and was sure to use up pretty much all of the 3 hour minimum. I caught one of them texting/​checking his phone at least twice on my time. One of them was cold and unfriendly. The other one just didn’t speak a word of English (Russian, I think).
I’ll give the whole moving service another try but I will avoid Express Moving and you should too.
