Fantastic Sams Hair Salon

I found myself without a good hairstylist after my stylist of 15 years retired. So I went looking and came upon this Fantastic Sams (not so fantastic!!) in the strip mall on College. I have naturally curly shoulder length hair which grows veryyyyy slowly, so I told Erica that I did NOT want any cutting to affect the length of my hair. I only wanted her to do a bang and crown cut. She seemed very pleasant and friendly and so we chatted quite a bit and I wasn’t paying as much attention as I should have. I noticed after that first cut that the length in the back in the middle seemed shorter by about an inch. I thought well, it’s been hot, maybe it’s just curling tighter. Then a few months later when I went back for another bang trim, she pulled the hair from the top and did some layers before I could stop her or think it thru. I left hoping it wouldn’t make a difference, but it did — and ANYONE who went thru beauty school should know that if you cut naturally curly hair in a layer, it will make it curl more, which in turn will make the overall length shorter, so now I have about a 2 inch shorter length in the back than on the sides!!! It will take me about 2 years to grow that out so the length is again near shoulder length! She didn’t follow instructions and doesn’t know anything about curly hair and does as she pleases! I’m VERY upset with how my hair looks and I’d strongly recommend that you RUN, don’t walk, away from this salon!
