RUN form this store as fast as you can! I came in about a repair on a pull up handle and the guy immediately told me it was going got be difficult and the handle may not be available anymore and if they could find the part it may be expensive. After about 5 minutes of him hymning and hawing about how difficult this was he came up with the quote of $ 240 by the time he wrote me up the total was $ 300 and he wanted it paid upfront — no deposit, the total up front (egads!!!) I left and ended up at Index Urban in Hillcrest and they were able to fix my handle with the actual original part for $ 15 in one day turn around. Plus when I walked in the store is very sparse in selection it looks as if they may close any second. Go anywhere else —

DO NOT BUY fROM THIS STORE!!! I purchased a bag for my husband and I was uncertain I had the right bag he wanted. I asked for a gift box and they pulled out a crumpled up cardboard box that it was shipped in. They said not a problem if it was not the right bag, but when I went back an hour later to return it when I did confirm it was not the right one they would not return it. they said «exchange only». This place has no customer service. If you want to buy luggage head down to Tumi downstairs. Great customer service, they give you a beautiful gift box AND they have a 30 day RETURN policy. Biggest regret this Christmas season was walking into this store!!!

I was told I could return merchandise but read receipt after I left store and the return policy is so bad. I was sold a lesser quality piece of luggage but told it was high quality. Upon researching online I realized I paid almost double of price of this piece everywhere else. Also there is absolutely no tags on luggage stating what it is.

Worst luggage store ever. I brought in an expensive roller suitcase (BRICS) and asked for wheel repair. They said it would be $ 80 per wheel ($ 320) to repair and talked me into a TUMI ($ 530). They said there is a serial # on back, so I could walk into any store that sells TUMI and get a repair/​service for free. So a few months later, I go back to this store and ask him to look up serial # so we can see if the damaged handle can be repaired. Manager says, «that will take awhile… you have to pay to ship your bag and then the repair might not be free» you get my drift, they were rude and completely unsympathetic. I research and find a luggage repair store in OC, take my BRIC bag in there while doing some business up there… AVION luggage is replacing all 4 wheels for $ 90!!!

If it was possible to give this place zero stars I would. This guy is completely unprofessional and has no sense of customer service. Worst, worst, worst experience I have ever had and worst return policy ever. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

This place is a joke I bought an overpriced adaptor, I walked out of the store within a minute and called my sister and she said she had just bought me one. I literally turned around came back in and asked if I can get a refund and he said no you have walked out of the store. Not only did we get ripped off we were treated with no respect at all when trying to explain the situation. I will never shop here again !!!

Came in to compare a couple brands. These guys were so knowledgable it was unreal. They really explained the differences to me and pricing was same as anywhere else so I decided to shop local and get from them. Will def be getting all my luggage here in the future.

DONT SHOP HERE! I wish now that I had read the awful reviews before I went and spent over $ 500 at this store. First, the fast-​talking salesman shows me the most expensive suitcase in the store, over $ 1,000. Then, I was almost walking out the door, he says we do have these sale ones. They ended up being Samsonite luggage on closeout. He said half price, good bargain. I found the exact same ones at Costco the next day for $ 400 LESS!!! The 2 at this place $ 518. At Costco $ 118. Then, I look at the sales receipt, ONLY EXCHANGES, NO RETURNS WITHIN 14 DAYS. I had mistakenly thought it said returns with receipt in 14 days. Also I thought he said the same thing. Now I’m taking the suitcases back and see what I can exchange them for. Lets see how this goes…

I feel totally deceived by this place. They misrepresented the product and when I found the same thing elsewhere for substantially less, they refused to do anything about it. They don’t give refunds, period. I feel lied to and cheated. Stay away from this place!

Very rude employees!
I don’t think they would like to sell something to anyone.
When I entered the store, I was the one saying hello to them.
And, when I asked for a certain item, they were just staring at me for a few seconds and said ‘that is out of stock’.

We went in on Friday to Look for a suitcase from samsonite which are around 250 $ so The guy told us we should come in On sunday because all The suitcases would be 99 $ And we better be quick because they sell out fast! So we said we would be back Sunday to get one. We woke up extra early to get one And were Stoked in The deal so we Come in And The guy says oh we ended up doing it yesterday (saturday) ??? Seriously??? He Admitted that He said sunday And said they just randomly changed The day! Well how about good Customer Server? And pricematch i work in retail And There would always be away he made US Drive all The way to The store And then «oh we did it yesterday ! Well don’t go There! They are Liars!

DO NOT SHOP HERE! They will lie to you and they do not accept returns.
I recently went here with my father to purchase a carry-​on bag that meets the new standards by multiple major airlines. The salesman assured us that the bag he was selling us met these specifications. When we got home we measured the bag and these specifications were not met. We were angry about being lied to. When we called they told us the bag could not be returned. They straight lied to us. My father went back in and he was lied to again that the bag would meet new standards that were being announced in January.
They are dishonest are horrible. Read their reviews on the better business bureau website as well. Scumbags like this should not be allowed to rip off consumers.

Just wanted a simple little garment bag to hang in my SUV with some shirts. Found the item, but they would not let us open the item to inspect it (it was just a pressure fit plastic case that was not sealed), saying something vague about people might try and substitute another item if it was returned. They could have popped it open and let us inspect it to see the nature of the material (through the hard plastic package it was terribly difficult to see if it was mesh or patterned material or what). So we just skipped the purchase because of a pushy style that did not make you confident you could have any recourse if you purchased it, owned it and then found out some unsat feature of the item. Found a similar item at a Pacific Beach travel store at a good price, glad we waited.

Our experience differs radically from the one-​star reviews for this store. The store owner clearly explained the available luggage choices and prices. We were initially told that the items we wanted were not currently in the store, but would be available in two days. We explained that we were departing on a trip the following day, and after a long phone call, the manager told us that the luggage would be delivered that afternoon, which is exactly what happened. I checked online, and the prices we were quoted match those of one of the major online discount luggage stores. The only reason that I gave four stars instead of five is because the luggage was not in stock when we first visited the store. Aside from that, we have no complaints!

Avoid this store at all costs.
I purchased luggage believing it was 50% off when actually I was paying normal retail as indicated by other retail websites I checked post-​purchase. Naturally this store has a no refund policy (which I didn’t see on the receipt until later) so I have no recourse, but it’s obvious that they are unethical and employing a «sale at all costs» mentality without regard for the consumer.

scam! avoid this place! this place has the worst customer service i have ever experienced! they do not give you pricing information over the phone nor do they do returns! this place is ridiculously marked up and a complete rip-​off! i should have known since there were no customers in the store, guess there’s a reason for that! i will call the mall management and put in a complaint! i hope this place goes out of business!

AVOID THIS PLACE! Do NOT even think how lucky you are that you found a brick & mortar store. You ARE NOT lucky! Walk away!!! Why? I’ll tell you why!
1. Inaccurate customer service. I’m traveling to India, called and explained I needed help with power adapters. I was told to come in and they would help me out. I came right in, and explained to the salesperson what I needed. He asked my specific requirements (a blowdryer, but I didn’t need a converter because it has a switch, and a computer and quite a lot of other electronic gear). He sold me a $ 55 dollar «travel converter and adapter kit» that does NOT include a grounded 3-​prong US adapter.
2. Shady business practice. They do not have signs prominently posted about their «exchange only» policy, nor do they inform you of that policy when you make a purchase. In addition, when you want to return something, they demand that you make an exchange immediately at that moment.
3. Horrible customer service. When I tried to return the unopened, still sealed blister pack, explaining that the salesperson didn’t sell me the correct item, I was rudely told basically «too bad so sad» and that the kit would work for an iPod. What? An iPod? (Really?) I explained that I had asked for an adapter for a computer and I needed a grounded plug. Too bad so sad.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Belatedly I checked out Better Business Bureau and the same complaint (not posted exchange policy). It appears they charge double or triple prices. And on top of it, they are just flat our rude and incompetent. Oh joy, a trifecta!
Odd how they aren’t on Twitter or Facebook. Actually, based on what I’ve seen, maybe not so odd…

Details: Ergh, embarrassed to even post this review as it reveals a moment of weakness in the face of salemanship. I usually price compare online before making purchases but didn’t have reception in the store :(Despite getting «a deal off the sales price that the manager in the back approved,» still ended up paying 20% more than online. There’s a no refund policy posted at the cash register, but it’s way below eye level and the salesperson doesn’t mention it, of course, so you’re SOL after you fall for their BS. Buyer beware!

I wish I checked here first! Fashion Valley Luggage doesn’t know what «customer service» means.

I’m a foreigner staying here only for 3 months, and had visited this spot several weeks ago. Literally, they ripped me off.
When I came back to my hotel, I found that the price was as twice as I could buy at other stores. But the receipt was saying «No refund» in the bottom with small print. They didn’t notify when I bought it.
What store on earth doesn’t accept to refund!
