I have been working with the in-​showroom consultent for both appliances and plumbing fixtures for a new residence whom was very good at her job. This in-​showroom person has worked with my contractor on many of the other homes he has built and Ferguson has been his provider of these items.
Being unable to reach my showroom consultant, because she was promoted to outside sales, I was referred to «client services» who were unable or not willing to answer simple questions about our order and indicated that they would not contact our/​their consultant regarding the purchases and payments associated with our orders. No attempt by Client Services was made to reconcile the issue.
I have to agree with most or the other reviews that the customer service is a misnomer with this company and there are other companies out there who would be glad to work for and have your business.
My next project I will go elsewhere.

I’d give them zero stars if that were an option. You simply can’t believe all of the mistakes that this company made over the course of my kitchen and bath remodel. It’s been a complete nightmare dealing with them. In fairness, one person was the cause of most of my misery – but what misery. Now, I’m waiting for a substantial refund, which this idiot was supposed to process weeks ago. Today, when I called, he hadn’t even processed it. Once when I called to place an order, a different Ferguson rocket scientist deleted my entire bid. Then, I had to try and remember what all I had ordered. That wouldn’t have been so bad if the person who had originally put the bid together were there to help. But, he doesn’t answer his voice or e-​mails, so I was basically on my own. I could go on and on. The point is, AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I went by the counter pickup section up to get some plumbing parts. However I needed help to figure out which reducer fitting I needed for what I was trying to do. I ended up talking to a guy that I am pretty sure was high with his eyes glazed over. After a few minutes of getting no where I suggested we talk to another person. We do and guess what, that other person looked/​was drunk! Didn’t even bother helping! Pointed to the corner of the store and walked out for a smoke! You would think these guys would be more qualified than the generalist staff you get at Home Depot but they are not even close! I would not recommend this place.

Horrible customer service. We ordered a sink that was promised by a certain date. That date came and went… without a sink. When we finally got the tracking number from them, we saw that it did not even ship until the day it was promised to us. They kept trying to pawn us back onto the salesperson that originally helped up. She never returned any of our messages, We are currently remodeling and because of this experience, will NEVER do business there again.

Great products, but horrible customer service.
Went there on three separate occasions and every time had trouble getting someone to help us, even though we made purchases on each visit. On one occasion, the sales woman seemed irritated to show me samples and kept telling me to «go look at the website and order there.» She kept saying that she had only been there for a few minutes (it was 9:15 and they open at 9) and kept rushing through explanations. I went back to the front desk to get someone new to help. The receptionist seemed somewhat confused in general, and I then had to wait 10 minutes for a new saleswoman.
When walking around the showroom, noticed many of the sales people were on their computers looking at email, including the woman who was unhelpful earlier. Really disappointed by management and customer service. Made rest of purchases elsewhere.

OK we were warned by our contractor that if we visited Ferguson we would never be able to figure out which kitchen faucet we were looking at… labels were so small and coded in a way we’d never know exactly what we were looking at except the brand. Visited today… first off no hands on unless you ask for help getting the block of heavy wood the faucet is displayed in down to see it close up. nope not my kinda place. I had researched many Hansgrohe faucets on THEIR great web site and they only had two that I could have looked at. I left very sure never to never recommend them. I don’t want to have to have a salesperson help me look at a frigging faucet. Called their showroom in Vista and was informed that they are the largest showroom in the U. S…didn’t care just wanted to know if their showroom was set up like this one… yep so Ferguson, you may tout being a great showroom but for my need you just lost about $ 700.00.

This place happens to be one of my favorite showrooms for appliances and plumbing fixtures! I get really giddy about making the trip to see the latest and greatest faucets and tubs they have on display. I’m even more excited and looking forward to seeing their new lighting fixtures! Every time I go in smiling faces greet me and if you time it right time the aroma of freshly baked cookies fills the air… of course I always help myself to a few.
The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable about appliances and plumbing… they’re really more than just sales people. They are a wonderful team of trained experts with outstanding service-​at all times during a project. I’ve had the pleasure to work with some awesome people including Katheryne, Sharon Markie and Margaret. If you have q’s on rough-​in valves, draining, etc. (all the things I rely heavily on them for answers about) these are some great go-to’s.
Like any showroom, they do get quite busy (because they’re that good at what they do). It’s always best to schedule an appointment ahead of time if you think you’ll need some assistance.
And to add to someone’s racist comment in these reviews, I’m brown and proud and have ALWAYS received top notch service!

Nice displays, but no help from the staff, I am guessing you have to be «white» for them to think you can afford them. My wife and an other non white couple (not together) must have been in the show room for 30 minutes. But never was approached to see if we had any question. But boy did they jump to help if any «white» customer walked in!!!
Shame on you!!!

Horrible customer service. I would give them negative stars if I could. I spent over $ 30K there and was told I could call direct for product questions, etc. They are rude, don’t return phone calls, and I would never recommend working with them.

I would not recommend this business. I am building a house and was told to come here by my contractor. I thought it would be an easy one stop shop, but they were unable to keep us within budget and made too many costly mistakes.

I recently purchased a range and hood from Ferguson’s. The showroom experience was fine, the attendants knew their information and how to sell products. Unfortunately I was not told at the time of purchase that delivery was not included. After paying the 50 $ delivery charge for local delivery I was then informed that they did «garage delivery only» and would not move this almost 1,000 lb product into the house. The delivery van arrived with one disabled driver 30 min after scheduled and the range was delivered on a palate. I had to arrange for help to move the range into my house and it received a horrible dent in the moving. With a 10,000 $ purchase I expected better service. Do not buy heavy items from this company.

Paradigm Shift Required:
I’m used to purchasing at places like Home Depot — where you hail an employee on the floor, ask your question (s) and then he/​she runs off somewhere else. So, when we walked into the Ferguson showroom and were told that the consultant that was recommended to us had a full appointment calendar that day; but that «Katheryne» had a cancellation opening up 20 minutes from now, I was ready to walk out!!!
But my wife took a shine to some of the kitchen products that we looked at during the 20 minutes; so I reluctantly decided to wait it out. I’m so glad we waited, as I soon learned to appreciate their appointment system. Once Katheryne was «ours»; she was totally focused on our needs — no interruptions.
Sales Support 1:
Katheryne really knows their products. And when she saw that I was skeptical about certain information, she would instantly show me a product manual or an Internet page. When I had a question (engineers have lots of them) that couldn’t be answered; she had the direct phone number of the manufacturer’s technical sales rep and got the information I needed first-​hand.
Katheryne gave us a detailed quote of every product and option where we showed interest. We told her that we’d get back in touch at a later date (our kitchen cabinets wouldn’t be ready for another 6 weeks).
Customer Support:
Katheryne phoned several weeks later to remind us that a vendor rebate would be ending in two weeks.
Sales Support 2:
On our second visit (11:00AM appointment), Katheryne (10:58AM) worked with us to ensure that we understood what we were buying, and getting us the best pricing available. Pricing ended up being as good as or better than Internet pricing. There was one product I researched beforehand that appeared to be 10% lower; but Katheryne knew to point out that I had found a painted and not a stainless steel unit. Wow, is she good at her job !!! And during this visit, whenever we asked a question, Katheryne would print out or copy the page where the information existed (without us once having to ask)!
We paid, walked out fully satisfied and decided to dine out to celebrate our new purchases.

Quick response. Fair price.

We met and did business with Matt Hayes at the Mercury store. We did not buy a lot, but Matt treated us with the same patience and care as if we were spending thousands of dollars. He looked up pricing after I found items online, some of which he could match, others not. He was not disrespectful or rude when I quoted some prices.
Unlike a major national competitor, Matt always followed up and responded to phone calls and emails. The other place promised quotes which never came, even after I called for follow up. I had the same lack of service and professionalism at the other place in 2 different cities.

I’ve never written a 1-​star review, then been forced to edit it and make it even worse. Unfortunately, today is that day.
I’d had my contractor speak with a salesperson about medicine cabinet dimensions. The salesperson assured my contractor and I that a particular cabinet would fit in the space our plan allowed. Turns out he was off by several inches on all sides. He wasn’t even close or paying attention, or both. So I went to return the item today after first going to their website to verify their Saturday hours. I show up and they’re closed «for inventory». I carried the item into the showroom part of their store. Of course, you can BUY things during inventory day. But you can’t return them. I managed to slice my hand open on a protruding staple from the Kohler box too. And I bled all over my invoice, which seems appropriate considering all the grief this place has given me. Why they didn’t just show that they were closed on their website (take 15 seconds guys) is beyond me. They are perfectly willing to let customers schlep products their from all over town, only to turn them away when they have to return something. What bozos!
The woman at the front desk was defeated before I even arrived. She clearly knows in her heart that this company is crap. And she’s the poor soul who has to field complaints day-​in and day-​out. She deserves better.
Anyhow, I’ve decided to return all the as-​of-​yet unused items I have to them — which will happen on Monday. I’ll find what I need at another supplier. Done. Over. Finished.

Matt Hayes is a real show room consultant. He is very knowledgeable and efficient, but what really sets him apart is his catalog work. In a matter of seconds he pulls down the book, opens the page, and points out what we were just talking about. If you want someone to make your place come together and knows about plumbing, Matt is the guy for you. He is really good and has access to any style you need. He also has a working knowledge of California Title 24.

Nice showroom. And it is open until 5PM on Saturdays, which is not typical for this kind of business. We also didn’t get approached by the staff. They just wandered by us and smiled.
And I loved it! If I wanted help, I could have easily asked. It was a no hassle experience that gave us some ideas as we embark on renovating our kitchen. I appreciate NOT getting the Jerome’s treatment — which is to get asked if you need help and then get shadowed by the salesperson throughout the store.
