The people that work here are not honest. I was told that if I paid my deposit and I changed my mind about the apartments, I would get my deposit back. I’ve emailed the manager like three times and I have not got a response. DO NOT GO FOR THESE APARTMENTS!

I personally enjoy living here. They hold community get togethers that are catered and are really festive. I don’t to hear much ruckus as I’ve seen alot worse in other areas. It’s a nice place to be in. I give them five stars because the people that I have dealt with are really great people.

I came here after I found a room advertised by a current resident who wanted someone to take over his lease. I walked to the management office and was told this works out since there are no rooms available for the floor plan I needed at the moment and all I had to do was to fill an application, but since it happened to be a Sunday, I was told to come back on Monday to fill the application to be approved by a manager. I returned the next day and filled the application (which is done online) and was directed to pay the deposit to reserve my spot online, and I did. The next segment was for my guarantor to fill their end and submit it, which was done the same day (online as well). I received an email later telling me that the guarantor did not qualify and I will need to put down a whopping $ 1800 deposit (as opposed to $ 165) plus first month’s rent. Considering the new steep deposit requirement I decided to look for another place and asked for a deposit on Tuesday by giving the management a phone call, I was told to come in between the hours of 9 and 7 PM, when I did stop by at 6 PM I was told that I need a manager’s approval and all of them are gone for the day and that they always leave at 5 PM, I guess it slipped their mind to tell me so earlier. I returned on Thursday and again was told no manager was available and that because of the long weekend I shouldn’t expect anyone to help me until the following week. I came back the following week and finally a manager did review my request (not meeting with me personally, I never got to talk to one) and was told because the refund request did not happen within the first 72 hours after the lease application was submitted that I was not to receive one. When I explained what has happened and how I actually did ask for a refund within the 72 hours window (which by the way is not stated anywhere and was not even conveyed verbally by the staff) they changed their tone and said that I signed the lease agreement and therefore there is nothing I can do except forfeit the amount.
A suggestion to management, reverse your reservation order and have a guarantor clear your background check first before asking for a deposit, that way you’ll avoid negative feedback like this one. This amounts to scam, a refund policy that isn’t enforced, giving people the run around, and managers avoiding speaking directly to potential tenants.

This place is terrible and wouldn’t recommend to anyone, there customer services is lack luster and they think just because it’s student housing they can slack off and give you poor service and not properly manger your apartment if you need something. ONCE AGAIN DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, go to something worth it like BLVD 63 and save ur time so you don’t have to deal with 5025 run around. There so called manger doesn’t even manger just sits in her office all day in front of her computer but never can get back you which is mind blowing.

A lot of money for a lot of rules and an almost incompetent staff. They misplaced my package and I got it a month later. They have trouble answering general questions. It’s really messy in the elevators and stairs. The fire alarm goes off almost every day. The neighbors also play their music really loud.

Terrible. They stole my deposit money. Crooks and thieves. Dont rent here. If you do… rent at your own risk

I had originally came here because I liked how it looked from the street. Boy that’s where the good stuff ended.

They give people the complete run around and give you bold faced lies to try and cheat people out of their money. I would never recommend this complex to anyone. I would run the other way. The things they are doing here should be illegal.
They are under new management and claim that it will be better but it is not! I went in and signed all of my move out papers because someone is taking over my lease. The new tenant taking over has ALREADY signed the lease and is living in my old room. I called today to make sure everything was squared away and they told me no it is not and I am still responsible for paying rent even though they ADMITTED that he already signed the lease.
Does this make sense to you? It didn’t to me either. Yet no one could give me an explanation and even though his name is on the lease and he lives there I’m responsible. Sound sketchy? It is! Everything they do is. RUN the other way. Do not live here.
There is a reason that all the SDSU apartment complexes have decent reviews except for this one. all negative

I lived there for the past year, and I can honestly say that I never had a worst experience in an apartment complex. The people working at the front office are lazy and not helpful at all with anything you may possibly need. Also, noise violations are randomly filled and given away and the reserve all the rights to do anything they want without having to give any explanations. The apartment complex is most often dirty and not taken care of, and the atmosphere isn’t slightly comparable to what you may see on any of the pictures on their website.

My best friend lives here and she is getting evicted all because our roommate was making false accusations. She made noise complaints even though my friend only had 2 other people me and another friend over. We weren’t even being loud and she made a complaint and they filed a leasing violation. By the way this is under the «new management» also my friends ice tray has been broken since she’s moved in! (I know because I’ve known her before she moved in) it’s a hassle and she’s tried filing multiple maintenance reports but to little avail. Also the same roommate that makes all these complaints has 2 animals a cat and a chihuahua and we’ve made counter complaints but they haven’t done anything about that yet. Asta la bye bye shitty twenty five she’s on to bigger and better things. Also parking in their garage is ridiculous it’s $ 60 a month and is filled with loud cars driven by kids who don’t know how to drive also had to deal with the elevator being out of service for a week because they said «it was being abused by people» so? Don’t make every one who lives there suffer just because they couldn’t figure out who was vandalizing their equipment it’s not the guests or tenants job for security (they have security but you wouldn’t know because they are walking around outside instead of inside the buildings looking through the halls or controlling the drunk people)

I went to talk to the managers that same day. There was this guy who claim he was a regional manager. His tone was condescending and rude. I am sorry but I am definitely leaving this place for good and will make sure not to suggest it to any friends and family. I am sure many current residents share the same concerns with me.
Also, that same day I asked the guy for my copy of my lease and he NEVER sent it. He talked down to me and was never interested in solving the problem and he is supposed to be the «regional manager.»
The managers are never in the office and they never answer the phone.
Also, some people started their finals early due to the fact that they are graduating. I understand that you have an outline of utilities but they never send you your statement saying how much energy you use a month.
To give you some credit, the facilities are not bad and the pricing is not bad. The MANAGEMENT is just the worst. The most unprofessional people I have ever met in my life. I am a manager myself and my biggest concerns are my clients and employees. At 5025, it seems like it is the managers who are the most important.
Oh, i forgot to say that the day that I talked to the managers I got locked out if my apartment and they charged $ 25 to open up. In 3 years that I was here they never charged me to enter my OWN apartment. Also, that same day, I had to wait over a period of 3 hours to meet with a manager. Once I met with them, the manager did not even want to talk to me because «I did not make an appointment.»
Finally, I found out that apparently I have no deposit for my apartment when I remember giving my deposit in 3 years ago. I contacted Jessica (who btw might be the only working manager here) and she actually replied to me the same day. The problem, I think, is that paperwork got lost when the company got acquired. Jessica sent me the ledgers for 2015 and 2014 but I moved in 2013 and I do have a deposit in my bank statements.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. Pay your rent with a check. There «easy» online payments will get you screwed over. Every single time I have paid my rent something has gone wrong. The place is run by students who do not give a sh*t about the place. It will smell like piss through out the halls and stairwells. Just a heads up. It’s cheaper to live in a house

Here’s hard proof of the misconduct of Management for you to use to get out of your contract. They must be stopped.
An employee running and participating in a illegal fight night on the roof of the apartments property. Employee in the black shorts. This happened years ago but can be used to get out of any lease agreement in court due to proof of corruption and illegal activities by management.

I’m not even sure if I could give this place one star. Given the area in San Diego, it’s great! It’s almost quiet. During the weekends you’ll have the occasional running through the halls naked fiasco, people spilling liquor all over the elevator and mind you they don’t clean it until days later, also there’s trash stains all over the halls that they don’t bother to clean as well. Parking garage structure is the WORST!
There are possibly one or two great associates who work here. Their managers are absolutely the worst, they’re so unorganized and unprofessional, it makes my retail job look prime! I’ve been having so many issues on just paying my rent alone with them. Every month, it’s something new. Every month they put in additional fees that come out of nowhere and every month I have to somehow make that inconvenient trip to the rental office to let them know what my contract is that they made.
I highly advise you to pay the extra money to go somewhere else, like Sterling Alvarado which I might add has much more to offer. I’m stuck here with a lease till the end of July and you can bet I’m counting down every minute.

Just moved from here. There was vomit everywhere the staff was useless, and the managers act as its your job to please them not the other way around. It always smelled like weed the place is noisy at all hours and when you call to complain they say sorry and then basically tell you to shove it. It takes them weeks to get around to fixing anything but they sure as hell will let you know with in the hour that you somehow owe them more money, and magically competent when it comes to towing your car from being parked outside the only 2 loading zones which are always full. That’s just the place itself its inhabitants are for lack of a better word ratchet! Loud inconsiderate rude and always ready to light up a joint on the patio right above your open window or hell on occasion in the elevator you happen to be on! Stay away! I wish I could give negative stars!

I read the reviews and saw they were not favorable, but told myself more people will take the time to complain than complement so for every 1 complaint posted I was HOPING there was 1 good review not posted… so I took a chance. Although I may have been right in my theory, I still feel obligated to take the time and provide potential renters information on my experience so they can make the «right choice» on where they want to live.
It seems to be a «bait and switch» situation. When viewing their webpage the rooms seem clean, updated and stylish. We went on a tour and they show you immaculate model apartment (nothing like the room they rented to us when it comes to quality). They indicate the utilities are included however,
the reality is you get an allowance and if you go over it you are responsible to pay the difference (even if your roommates are the abusers of using the excess). There is a section within the contract that is at least 15 lines long outlining different fees they can charge you for things such a noise violation (which by the way you are responible for even if your roommates are the violators), certain things being placed on balconys, ect. They have you fill out a «roommate match» form and the roommates matched were NO WHERE in the same demographics with age, life style. or personalities (for example the age difference is 14 years!) but yet to change this would be an additonal $ 200. The apartment itself was run down, blinds were all broken, furniture was torn and dirty and some of the missing that was listed as included in lease agreement was missing, paint on walls chipped, frame on door was missing exposing a small gap to hallway allowing for people to look into the apartment and air conditioning bill most likely will by higher during the summer months. I will say the bathroom & kitchen were decent. The parking garage is filthy, it seems that it would be worth the complex paying for a grounds keeper to pick up trash on the property daily not only to keep up the appearance of the complex but also help avoid rodent infestation.
The process of being approved was difficult and stressful. The office line is rarely picked up by a live person. I was promissed for over a week I would have a response on my application within 24 hours and it took 10 days. The mail system is out dated and untrustworthy. Our very first package from amazon is MIA. The mail is received in the office and it a manual process to have all the packages logged and they are left unseccured on shelves in the office. Being that this process is manual it leaves room for error and theft. I heard a tenant come in and claim a package that was not in his name by simply telling office worked «they guy that sent it sent it in his name instead of mine». WFI is included however it seems to be very slow because of the number of users on at times. The indivduals in the office seem to be spread thin to say the least. The girl that assisted us on moving day was pleasent, however they seemed very short staffed. I agree the rent/​fees are too high for what you really get.

DON’T LIVE HERE! Simple as that. When I moved in the apartment was filthy and I looked in my shower and the soap rack was completely broken with a bunch of really sharp edges, which is a HUGE safety concern. I have told maintenance 4 times about it and they make up excuses of why they can’t fix it every time. Also for the first few months we would come home and random maintenance men would be in our apartment with absolutely no notice, and wouldn’t tell us why they were in there. We are an apartment full of girls and it was really scary. Come to find out the apartment above us had flooded and it was affecting ours, yet they didn’t tell us anything about this until we told them we would call the cops if they kept coming into our apartment without notifying us.
Not to mention they charge you overages every month because the utilities cap they set is completely unrealistic. My roommates and I live in darkness and do laundry at our parents house and rarely ever cook and they still charge us overages on utilities every month. Also, pray that they do not place you anywhere near the parking structure. There is a constant loud beeping and car alarms go off all night. My roommates and I all pay our rent on time and have no issues with management so don’t let them tell you that is the reason for the bad reviews because that is what they told us too. Seriously don’t get fooled into making the same mistake as I did by living here.

I made complaints about things and they could fix only some of them.
I requested the maintenance via its web site and they sent the email back told me to contact the office. Why they have online request?! Anyway, after I contacted the office, my faucet got repaired that evening.
I also complaint about too early blowing leaves (8am). It was so noisy that I couldn’t sleep and my balcony got dirty due to the leaves and dust! Next week, the blower came a little bit late like 9am, which was better.
Last complaint that they couldn’t solve was that the printer ran out of the ink for over a month! This is unacceptable! Why you told us that you provide ink and then you don’t! It’s not convenient to send the email to staffs every time we want to print something. Please refill the ink as soon as possible.

There’s a reason this place has bad reviews. Anyone giving a 2-​star review or higher is kidding themselves. DESPITE reading bad reviews before mine, I originally assumed that those people were merely unlucky. But no.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! We basically felt scammed and they took about 3 months of rent money from us. We originally set out to tour the facility and the man at the front desk informed us that we had signed up for the lease. WTF SINCE WHEN?! We were tricked into a lease online and had to pay for 4 months of rent to these idiots, until some poor guy took over the lease.
I’m sure they’re great people and all, but as workers, they suck. A bunch of college students who don’t know how to run a business. A lot of the workers goof off in the leasing center and there was a line of guests waiting to see rooms/​get quotes.
That being said, it’s even harder to get a hold on ANYONE over the phone. This is a big issue for anyone who doesn’t live in the area and can’t tour the complex. I live about 2 hours away, and we called several times talk to someone, and it was ALWAYS a huge hassle. This shocked me because when I finally went in person to the leasing office, I saw about 20 workers in there doing nothing.
Also, if you’re going there to tour the rooms, they show you a brand new room that’s never been touched and is «staged.» This is 100% NOT accurate to the actual rooms or hallways!
Although the location is close for SDSU students, this complex is run down and full of stupid college kids who only know how to party. If you’re a college kid who doesn’t care about their valuables, the cleanliness of the environment they live in, the idiocy of the management team, or your general well-​being (this place is NOT safe), then this is the perfect place for you.
And no, I’m not bitter that you took so much of our money, even though you did — I’m bitter because your business has been shown to continuously have unfavorable reviews for several months now, and apparently nothing ever changes.
