What is the point of paying for a gym membership to only find yourself going 2−3x a week? you will never see results. But, at Fitness4ward…
results come even when you least expect it.
I know that it says bootcamp, and it indeed is… bootcamp but there is just something so different about this bootcamp than any other. The vibe, the people, the hard ass workouts are all so badass. This is one of those bootcamps that your body will thank you for and make you do shit that you thought you were never able to ever do.
Isnt that part of being alive? finding out what you are capable of? unless your a wimp and likes to settle… anyway, I just have such a good support system here from the people I workout with to the trainer himself.
There are tons of parking, if that is something you are wondering about. I am so glad we found this… nothing is better! #bootcampislife

I like everything about this place. Trainer, people, workouts, you gonna be around great people who gonna push you more then your own limits.

5 stars for the best work out program that I have ever experienced! I can feel that this is extremely effective because my body is sore daily from working out both common muscles and muscles that I didn’t even know existed! I have tried so many different trainers in San Diego, who were awesome, but not this effective. I’ve honestly seen results in terms of gaining strength and losing inches in just 3 weeks.
I did not expect to feel this way after just a few weeks of working out here, I’ve worked out for a majority of life, just not like this. This is high intensity workouts catered to each person’s strength, so you work out super hard but at your own weight level. I originally did not think I would want to go each of the 5 days, but the work outs are actually fun and exciting with super sweet people in the class. Everyone is very helpful, not judgmental and definitely help to motivate me.
We work out different muscle groups each of the 5 days per week, which is awesome for me because I wouldn’t know how to do these routines on my own. And the following week, each muscle groups exercises change, so there is no getting bored. It’s definitely hard, but it’s also definitely worth it. I had bought a Groupon for his classes at first, but am continuing on because I never want to stop feeling this energized and happy with my strength!!!

Be ready to work hard and get results and kick butt. Jon’s a great trainer. Great group of people, I went to the 6 AM class. It’s more than just a workout Jon is there to help guide you to living a healthier lifestyle and establishing healthy habits. Kudos!

Jon’s the best! I never understood people who liked working out and now I do since I’ve started coming to his classes. If you want to get in shape, be motivated and see results, join Jon’s program!

If you’re reading this, you’re probably interested in taking these classes and want to know a little more about what it is you’re about to get into. So here it goes…
A little about myself:
Definitely not in shape, work long days & knew I needed to change my lifestyle for the better. I found Jon’s inexpensive 6 week Groupon and haven’t looked back since.
A little about the classes & the instructor:
Currently there are morning classes and evening classes, Mondays through Thursdays & also a Saturday morning class. Get in where you fit in or just come to them all. Each class day is designed to work out different muscle groups. I’d say each class has been different so far, no class has been exactly the same. He’s pretty good about varying the exercises and keeping you pumped up and motivated. He makes sure that you’re going at a pace that won’t kill you but will push you when needed. Its definitely worth mentioning his sense of humor. If he ever decided tour the comedy circuit, he may just just do well for himself there… maybe. The people in the class are nice & welcoming. There are people of all ages, young, old and of all shapes and sizes. Invest in yourself, come to bootcamp and sweat! You’ll feel great about yourself and get in shape in the process, not a bad deal. 5 stars Jon, keep up the good work and keep on whoopin’ us into shape!

I joined this 6 week boot camp fitness class. This class is amazing. Jon works you out to your fullest. I get pumped in the morning to work out because of his class. He works out all the areas of your body with unique cardio, weights, etc… I am 20 lbs over weight and am 4’11. Not cute lol so he’s working my ass, literally! I’ve never been so sore in my life but without pain there is no progress. I plan on doing his class forever as long as the budget is there. I recommend everyone to take his class!

If you are looking for an easy, non motivating workout where you get great results with no hard work… than Fitness4ward is not the place for you. Jon’s classes are designed to help you become a healthier, happier, and in his words a «delicious» new you! Coming into class be prepared to sweat (ALOT), train hard and have fun doing it. There are morning and evening sessions, sometimes full with 20+ people but he always makes you feel like you are getting one on one training. He coaches on nutrition, talks to you about your goals and is inspiring every step of the way. I am so happy to have found Jon and the rest of the fitness family.

Fitness4ward has given me a jumpstart into a training program, paving the road to a way of life that includes a regular total body workout that I can do at the start of my work day. Having reached «middle age» and being a married and full time working mother of 2 small kids while having major health opportunities (high blood pressure, high LDL and triglycerides, depression, hypothyroidism and diabetes), has put the brakes on my once healthy lifestyle. It was so difficult just the even to start an exercise program and be consistent, after having adapted to my way of life the past 7 years.
Fitness4ward is conveniently located close to where I live, (it’s in Miramar so it’s close to the neighboring cities of Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, UTC, Kearny Mesa). The facilities are located inside of «Flip Force», easy to spot the lighted sign off of Miramar road between Camino Ruiz and Black Mtn Rd.
This a group bootcamp style workouts of which the majority of time is spent indoors with running outdoors in between stations. Having the kind of «gymnastic type flooring» and ceiling apparatus set up that is available provides a unique variety of movements that you can not do at other gyms. The space is huge! There is on average of at least 25 – 30 people in the 6 am class I go to and and broken up into 5 – 7 groups/​stations. Jon provides barbells with variety of wts, dumbbells, resistance bands, kettle bells, ropes, medicine balls, and other apparatus that are part of the facility. Having a boot camp and interval style training with different stations to rotate through keeps the interest up and heart rate going, challenging me to push myself beyond the limits! it is not a dance class nor aerobics or pure weight lifting. It consists of strength training with cardiovascular incorporated to keep your heart rate up throughout the hour. You are not only using weights and other equipment but use of your own body. There are people of different ages and at different stages of fitness. They are all doing the same workout but at their own pace and capacity. The background music keeps you pumped and focused. Everyone is expected to go through all the reps and stations even if you have to modify some exercises to your ability.
There is also an optional Facebook group that serves as a support, learning from others as they share their insights on health and exercise. Jon emails us regularly to inspire and motivate us as a group with helpful information.
Fitness4ward is not about products like supplements, shakes, pills, workout DVDs, etc. It’s back to the basics, good old fashion exercise and nutrition. Jon also provides online tools that are downloadable/​printer ready, to log what we are eating, resources that show what is recommended for us and ways to create good habits, one habit at a time! His fb posts and emails help keep us in check and accountability to ourselves.
The price is affordable and fair for the kind of training we and motivation we get. Individual personal training sessions at gyms can be very expensive at $ 50-​$ 75 per session. this is not individual personal training. The cost when divided in hours comes out to be less than what you pay at some outdoor bootcamp or indoor Zumba classes I know of. It is way less than the standard personal training. you are getting way more than you would going to a gym and being on your own. You r not obligated to any contracts or down payments or up front and administrative fees.
It’s been said it takes an average of 21 days to develop a habit. It’s my 3^rd week here. here’s 2 developing my first habit, 4 hours minimum of exercise per week!

I joined Jon’s boot camp in February 2013. Honestly I won’t go anywhere else to train!! Jon is so awesome. His passion for health/​fitness shows in every session. He motivates you to be better, stronger and faster every time! Jon is willing to do anything to get you to your goals. He is always available for advice on workouts and nutrition. I have lost a total of 25 lbs on his program and I’m
so grateful to have Jon as my trainer!

This is the best place to go, hands down and while a little further from me easily worth the drive.
What I really like is it is more than just a place to go do your class and go home. Jon is motivating, cares on all levels, and makes sure to keep the atmosphere friendly. He seems to care about each of his clients.
My experience so far has been nothing but positive and I am looking to do my first half marathon soon. A huge jump from where I was when I joined.
Also his nutrition consultation is nothing to scoff at. You may think some of the tweaks he suggests for your diet are minor but trust him on this.

Best groupon deal I’ve ever purchased! I bought the 6 week body transformation and I enjoyed every minute of it. Lost 5 pounds and i’m a lot stronger thanks to Jon! He’s awesome! Excellent workouts and I was surrounded by great people! I miss it!

After two months of saying no to my friend and joining bootcamp, I finally decided to join and doing so was the best decision I have ever made. The energy in the room, the loud music, and Jon (the trainer) motivating you, makes it feel like you actually belong there. It’s like you can’t wait to come to the next class. I love bootcamp! Best trainer I’ve had so far and trust me I’ve had lots of trainers.

I have been attending Jon’s classes for two years both here and at the previous location. This is the best workout program I have found and my experience includes a career in the military and numerous trainers at brand name gyms. Jon focuses on each individual helping each person achieve their goals in the manner that best suits them. He does not focus on fad diets or fad workout programs but stresses sound fitness principles. He offers classes morning and night 4 days a week and a Saturday morning class. Each day focuses on a muscle group but includes full body elements as well. I am in the best shape of my life at 52 years old and I owe it to Jon and the rest of the class. The other people in the classes really make this program enjoyable. There are no egos or attitudes just everyone doing their best and truly having fun.

This bootcamp is very inspiring. The trainer Jon is excellent at motivating and pushing you. He is very positive and is constantly reminding you why you are there, which helps as you push yourself more and more each day. He helps you understand the changes needed in order for you to reach your goals and as a result makes you believe in yourself.
It is a very positive environment. You will find a very diverse group with one common goal.
I have learned so much here and I highly recommend this boot camp.
