I visited this salon for the first time today for my daughter. It was a great experience! She communicated with me about time before we even got there. Once there she gave my daughter a beautiful cut and my daughter walked out glowing and happy!!! Thank you very much please visit this salon if you want great service and am amazing cut.

First off, the salon is the cutest! The set up is very spunky and provides a comfortable environment. Now as for Luna, she is great. She works diligently and gives you great tips on what works for your specific hair. I am mixed, African American and Mexican with very curly hair. I have been going to her for years and would not go anywhere else. She works efficiently and gets the job done well. I always leave happy.

Fun environment, cool atmosphere, clean facilities and a rockin menu. This place has earned every one of these five stars.

I found Luna here on Unilocal and went in to get a haircut for my hair donation. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made suggestions to try that would work with my hair. My hair was chopped off and she then worked her magic and gave me an awesome cut! She really is good with hair and has a good eye for little details. I love my new hair and will definitely be coming back!

Luna is absolutely amazing! I went in today as a brand new customer and I’ll definitely be back. Luna gave me a great root touch up and gave me exactly what I was looking for — brown roots but maintaining my summer blonde tips. And all for under $ 100?! Obsessed!

Perfect! I got my hair colored and cut here today and I loved it! She was very nice and didn’t mind answering all my questions. she also taught me a lot about how to style and maintain my hair.

My BF just throws on a hat and runs out of the door like he has since he was 7 according to his mom. It’s time to get styled so he doesn’t look like the errand boy at work. I preemptively warned the hair salon that he would not have much input, but to use their professional judgment and keep in mind his grooming style. What the team at the hair salon accomplished is miraculous. It still maintains his personality, but upgrades his appearance and he has noticed the change in attitude towards him at work. Kudos!

Luna is amazing! Went here on the recommendation of a friend, as my usual hairdresser was out of town for a month! Decided to go from long to short and Luna listened to what I wanted and did exactly as I asked. Loved it. Decided the following day that the fringe was a little long, and called Luna and she squeezed me in on a busy Saturday and cut it … Free of charge! She is an amazing stylist and is so friendly and hospitable … I’ll definitely be going back :-)

Luna is amazing. I could stop there, but this is a review after all, so here it goes.
I first discovered her 5 years ago when I moved to San Diego and I’ve never gone anywhere else for a cut since. She is phenomenal. She’s taken me from soft layers to a blunt bang to an edgy lob and just gets it right each time. She really works with the hair texture and lifestyle of each client and she never tries to up-​sell with unwanted products or treatments.
Best of all, Luna is kind, accommodating, and truly genuine. So glad I found her!

I have never come home and started crying over a haircut, until today. I like her I really do, but after today, I can´t even talk to her. My hair is ruined. I came in and I told her, «nothing fancy just a trim, straight line» and somehow that translated into choppy uneven hair everywhere. I have been taking care of my hair like if it’s my baby, and today, was just awful for me.
I told her that my hair had never even been ironed, she ironed it, and then chopped it up. (I recently shaved my head, so every hair on my head was clean, pure, healthy hair, virgin.) SO, I devirginized my hair for no reason, because a good cut didn’t even come out of it. My husband who knows nothing about hair or hairstyles, even told me that it is completely uneven and off.
Maybe it was a warning from the Universe, because to just make that appointment, I had to call her for days, and when I finally receive a call back, bammmm! this happens.

I’ve had several haircuts now, and while Luna will give me exactly what I ask for, the best cuts have been when I just gave her a general description and let her choose the exact style. «I need to look older and professional» and «I want something short that I won’t have to spend time styling in the morning, but I don’t want to look like a boy,» both resulted in haircuts that did exactly that, and netted me a lot of compliments.
Luna also gives great advice and doesn’t try to push particular products or brands. The first time I went in I told her the problems I was having with my hair, and she told me what to change. I was worried that I would need to start buying expensive salon brands, but she gave me a list of cheap products that would work well with my hair. With her suggestions, I’ve seen a huge improvement!
All the women in my family now go to Luna. Thin, dry hair? Thick, curly hair? Coarse, greying hair? She does a great job with all of them. The quality of a $ 100+ salon cut for only $ 35? I can’t say enough good things.

Luna did an excellent job on my Hair. She gave me The haircut And color that I asked for– super cute! She is very fast too– I was in and out within 2 hours. I have short hair, I had a full weave, cut and style. The charge was (I forget exact amt) about $ 90 – 95 bucks. I am very happy and plan on using her as my regular stylist.
Her salon is modern, clean and you feel comfortable when you come in.
I found her through reviews at Unilocal.I am happy that I found someone that I can actually afford to go to– on a regular basis.

I came here a few years ago because I saw some really good reviews on Unilocal.I was looking mostly for a good hair stylist who actually listens to what I want, and one who can deliver the look I am asking for.
I got my hair colored and cut. And the result was amazing! Luna really gives me what I ask for… She has never cut my hair too short. She does her technique a little different and I love it.
I would recommend her to everyone who is looking to look great at an affordable price. You can also pick up food at the taco shop next door while your waiting.
I have never liked any of my hair cuts, and now I love my hair. I get compliments on them! I love luna, please don’t ever leave us!
FYI Luna does not do the following services because she believes it’s extremely bad for your hair: perms, Brazilian blowouts, etc. She keeps it very honest and wants the best for her customers.
Other tips: to prevent hair loss, comb you hair before you shower, when your hair is wet, comb the ends first. Don’t clip up your hair if it is wet, it will cause your hair to grow mold… And the hair will fall out from the roots… So stop that habit if you do.
Glad to have all of this knowledge because I want my hair for life… No thank you to hair loss and a receding hair line.

I’ve been to FIX Salon twice to get my hair cut, and both times it’s been awesome! I used to have really long hair down to my waist, so the first time I went in was just for a trim. Luna really listens to what you want, unlike most hair stylists who always cut off too much!
The second time I went in was to chop off my hair and have it donated. Luna tied and braided my hair before the cut so that it would be ready for donation. I hadn’t had my hair short in probably 10 years so I was a little nervous, but she did a great job and I loved how it came out.
It costs $ 35 for a wash (optional), cut, and style. This is my favorite salon in San Diego!
