She provided the digital files quickly and her photographs were beautiful! We love them all and it was so hard to choose favorites, which we’ve had printed/​enlarged and displayed throughout our baby’s nursery and our home.

Working with Clare was a very enjoyable experience. She was very responsive. listened to the type of photos we wanted and also shared her own POV on what would make for the best photos. It was also extremely easy to download the photos (she committed to 30 but we received 50+) in the following formats: original, high-​res and web. We felt that our photos offered us the look and feel we were going for to capture this special time in our lives. We would happily use her again for photos of our son down the road.

My best friend and I just got our pictures taken a few days ago in La Jolla. Clare was amazing! She made it so much fun and was very energetic. She took some amazing pictures. Clare and her husband make a great photography team. I was turned onto Clare and Flourish Photography after they photographed a friend’s wedding I was in. At my friend’s wedding, she was fun, upbeat and made having your photo taken fun. Then my friend’s pictures turned out gorgeous. Needless to say, when my fiancée and I were looking for a photographer for our wedding Clare was our first choice. Together we met for coffee with Clare to discuss what we wanted, our wedding venue, and their very reasonable prices. We booked with her in for our June wedding at the San Diego Art Museum in Balboa Park. Flourish Photography did an amazing job taking my photos on my wedding day and communicating in the month’s prior. A requirement for our venue was to meet with all vendors prior to the event. Clare was able to do that and communicate with my wedding coordinator effectively. The day of my wedding she was upbeat and got great shots of my camera shy family. Additionally, my wedding photos are amazing. I get tons of compliments about how great they are in person and on social media. It is without any reservations that I recommend Flourish Photography and I will definitely be using them again.

I took advantage of the mini holiday session that Clare offers and I couldn’t be more pleased. This was my first time working with her and we had a great time. The price couldn’t be beat and the turn around time was so quick, plenty of time for me to order my Christmas cards. She is really fun and great with kids. Thank you Clare!

Clare is wonderful. She is very personable and accommodating, but most importantly, takes great photos. She is also very creative and has the eye for backdrops and angles. We’ve worked with her three times now and plan to continue.

I learned about Clare when I saw my friend’s photos for her holiday card this year. The photos were so sweet, natural and fun looking I was immediately interested. I asked about her pricing and was blown away by how reasonable it was compared to other photographers in San Diego.
I booked her for a photo shoot for our holiday card immediately. She ran an amazing promotion that included the photo shoot as well as 6 retouched digital prints for $ 75. My husband and I had just had a baby 6 weeks prior and have two older children as well. She did a great job with both our older kids and the n00b. She brought a shaker egg to get our baby’s attention, which was brilliant. And she captured our older kids so naturally. I was very impressed!
I love the way our photos turned out, I couldn’t decide on just six so I ended up purchasing all the pictures! Clare is a pleasure to work with and super talented, I highly recommend her!

Clare has a true gift and eye for photography. She has taken pictures of my kids on different occasions and in different locations. Each time she has captured the magic. She has a way to bring out the personalities of each child through her photos… she is an artist and will work until she gets not just «the shot», but multiple shots. I will be hiring Clare again and again in the future!

I’ve been dreaming to have family photos taken for many years and when we finally did it this year, our family had grown to 8 adults and a baby! Not an easy task, but Clare was super easy to work with, friendly, happy and always smiling! She responded quickly to emails and in no time we had our shoot set up for La Jolla Cove. Although our 3 yr old is very shy, Clare had no problems connecting with her and we got some amazing photos! Clare is so accomodating and no request was too much for her, even when we asked her to move the whole shoot to a 2^nd location so out classic car could be included! We will definitely use Clare for our next shoot and have already recommended her to our Friends

Clare did our maternity photos this fall and I loved them so much we returned to her for holiday photos as well. Although she recently strarted her business, you would never know it from the high quality and creative photographs.
Aside from the product, she is so positive and friendly making everyone in the photo somehow look like they’re having fun (I mean, really, who likes having their picture taken?). We’re the crazy family that includes the dog in our holiday photos. Despite the fact this year we also had a 2 week old and a dog that wouldn’t sit still Clare was patient while making elephant noises so the dogs ears would perk up.
Her rates are extremely reasonable compared to other photographers out there, but I have a feeling they’ll go up soon given her talent. Not to mention she goes above and beyond what we expected as far as the number of photos and turnaround time. I highly recommend her!

We love Clare. She has done pictures for us twice now. She is able capture our daughter on the go and our personality as a family. We love the holiday pictures she did for us. Her turn around time was amazingly quick too. I highly recommend Clare for pictures of your kids and family.

After my son was born one of my friends told me that the only thing she regrets was not getting more professional pictures taken of her son. She was adamant that I get pictures taken so I can look back and see how he’s grown. I love to take pictures but I knew deep down its all about the fancy camera action.

When I had my daughter 4 months ago, I had delusions that me and my crappy 8 megapixel camera were going to make magic happen when it came time to capture the cuteness. Sadly, I was mistaken!
As the days marched on, I couldn’t help but think that I really needed to hire someone to take some photos because the ones I was getting were ok but Instagram can only get you so far people! That’s where Clare came in.
We emailed back and forth a few times and set up our time and location. She had really great ideas and came with props and attention-​getters for my easily distracted 4 month old. I was kind of bummed because my daughter who is usually miss smiley decided that picture day was not her cup of tea. And yet somehow, even in the face of miss fussy britches, Clare snapped some absolutely amazing shots that really captured my daughter’s personality.
Clare is really down to earth and approachable and was able to be flexible and creative which, when you’re taking pics of babies, is essential! She was also super speedy in getting me the CD with the pics on it so I could share the cuteness with all of our family members and basically anyone who looked in my direction! Now it’s just a matter of deciding which pics to put where in the house. :)

My fiancé and I had our engagement photos taken by Clare. Clare is a true talent. She has the eye for a good location, beautiful light with just what’s available, and made us look like models! In addition, she offered us a wonderful discounted package because she has more experience with children and families than with couples — but after seeing the results, I will recommend her to all my friends when they get engaged. She was very lighthearted and fun, even helped my introverted fiancé warm up to the camera by the end. She was also very patient, letting us change outfits twice and indulging us in our off-​the-​wall ideas for our Save the Date photos. You can really tell that photography is her passion, not just a job. I am a videographer professionally, and I can tell a good shot from a bad one in an instant. Every one of Clare’s shots (we got to see almost all of them!) was well-​framed, lit beautifully without flash, and shot from a flattering angle.

Clare took newborn photos of our baby girl and we could not be happier! She was incredibly patient and sweet with a fussy 2 week old. We did the shots in her in home studio which worked out perfectly. She had a variety of great props to choose from and lots of great ideas for shots. We ended up getting some wonderful photos that I can’t wait to use in our home and share with family.
I had been looking for a newborn photographer in the area and was having a terrible time finding someone who was actually responsive, whose work looked great, and was affordable. I was getting really discouraged when a friend recommended Clare thank goodness!
Another great thing was we got a CD with the digital negatives and she was so quick with the turnaround! I had the photos in under a week which is amazing. She does all sorts of family and children photography so I like that we can also contact her in the future. My husband and I have already been talking about getting more shots done in a few months since it was such a positive experience. Highly recommend!

Clare at Flourish Photography is awesome! I’m the one who is usually behind the camera snapping away at my two boys and husband so when it comes to making a photo books for my kids, it started to look like my husband was a single dad. I want my kids to know at least what I look like during my somewhat younger years with them, so working with a professional photographer became a must-​do on my summer list.
Clare is super quick with responses online. She recommended an urban setting and then scoped out this cute neighborhood for us with an awesome sunset view. She is charismatic and she is a mom to a one year old so she really knew how to get my 3 year old out of his cranky mood (he was awoken from his nap) by challenging him to races and sharing an arsenal of snacks with him.
The results of our one hour shoot with her are beautiful! She really captured the personality of my boys – from the goofy shots of my 3 year old attempting handstands to the serious glances from my one year old. Best of all, there are some pretty sweet shots of just me with my boys that I know will be framed and placed in my office stat! Her turn around time was super quick and we had a CD in our mailbox in a little over a week. I’m already thinking of lining up a date in the fall for Christmas photos :)
