Since his 1980 graduation from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Dr. Georgaklis has practiced in Beverly Hills and San Diego. He has also appeared as a featured expert in dentistry on NBC and ABC networks. Meet Our Hygienist:

Melissa attended San Diego Mesa College and San Joaquin Valley College, and she holds her registered dental hygienist’s license, as well as certification in laser dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association. As a hygienist, Melissa performs regular and deep dental cleanings, educates patients about oral health care at home, how to care for their gums, and which dental products are best for their individual health.

I’m happy to say we finally found an orthodontist we trust for our two young daughters. After going to several orthodontists for opinions, I was left confused by the drastic difference in treatment plans varying from phase one, having braces put on the same day to come back and see me in 6 months. My youngest was also recommended to have six teeth pulled to make room. Thankfully we found Dr. Georgaklis and our concerns were completely put to ease. He helped correct my one daughters bite which did not require braces. Best of all, with my youngest, he guided some teeth forward that came down in the roof of her mouth without pulling any teeth. I find Dr. George to be very honest and fair in his recommended treatment plans, nothing is worse than feeling like you’ve been up sold on unnecessary treatments. We now use his practice for regular cleanings so he can monitor any future treatments as required.

If I had to say one thing about Dr. George’s practice its that if you want PERFECT teeth he’s definitely the man to see! I’ve been a patient of his for almost 20 years now and I wouldn’t go to anyone else for my teeth. I’ve had fillings, Invisalign, and cleanings by him, and I can’t count the number of times people have told me my teeth look amazing! All thanks to Dr. George.

I went to Dr. Georgaklis’ office last week to get a chipped tooth bonded. It was my front upper tooth, and thus very important to my smile. The tooth now looks absolutely perfect. Dr. Georgaklis did an incredible job and was friendly and professional throughout my entire visit. In spite of a complication arising during my procedure, Dr. George stuck by his initial estimate. I am so glad I have found an excellent, trustworthy dentist!
P. S. His entire staff is amazing too, in particular Mary his assistant who helped me, and Sierra at the front desk who reminded me to validate my parking and called the next day to check on me.

I can honestly give Dr. George Georgaklis a solid 5 stars. I’m 19 years old and have had bad experiences at other dental offices. One bad experience can ruin a good thing. I needed cavity fillings and came in with no idea what to expect. I was scared out of my mind. I came in and the desk receptionist was awesome. She was so real and charismatic. The dental assistant called me in I explained to her my fear. She talked to me and was able to explain what would happen. Fear of the unknown was being settled! She was very very caring and would talk to me during the procedure ti let me know I was doing okay. She popped in a movie and off the went to work. The time flew and I felt nothing. It was amazing. Dr. Georgaklis was really nice. He really cares about his clients.
On your first visit they give you these cute goodie bags filled with the essentials. Toothbrush, toothpaste, flosh, and mouthwash. I recommend if you come here and you’re a ninny like me when it comes to dentists, ask them to numb your gums before they put the needle to numb the rest of your mouth. I hate needles but they helped me out by not letting me see. I love this dentist. I plan on keeping him for a long time.

I have been a patient of Dr George’s for over 10 years now, why would I ever leave! He is meticulous with his work and expects the same from his hygienists! Dr George’s staff is very organized and Chavonne is a genius with insurance/​billing/​reimbursement! Everyone has their dental preference, but if you want a smooth experience and great quality dental work I strongly suggest giving Dr George an opportunity to earn your business!

I can’t add up how much time I’ve wasted sitting in the waiting room for my appointments. Is it worth it, yes but do I want to spend that much more time waiting in nervous anticipation for a dentist appointment? No. He is a nice guy, really listens to patients, the staff with him is all sweet caring ladies as well. Once you get in the chair and they get to work you’re in good hands. Be prepared to wait forever though.

I was looking for the best Cosmetic Dentist here in San Diego County. After I broke a tooth, I was in need of a Porcelain Crown. I was given a personal referral from a family member. I was treated very well by the staff of his practice and I highly recommend him to all. The Porcelain Crown that Dr. George placed in my mouth shows he takes great takes pride in his profession.

Here’s an update to my previous review from 3 ½ years ago. Building the trust in a medical professional does not come easy to me, but I’m happy to say that I trust Dr. George wholeheartedly with his judgment in terms of my teeth. The friendly staff is always willing to work with my hectic schedule and treats me like family every time I walk into the office. Thus, I will always refer Dr. George to my family/​friends because I would want them to experience the same happiness that I have been experiencing since 2006. He simply wants what is best for his patients.

My childhood friend referred me to Dr. George Georgaklis and he has been my dentist now for the past 10 years. I have been going to Dr. George from regular teeth cleaning to treating cavities, as well as perfecting my smile through the help of Invisalign, and putting the «finishing touch» on with teeth whitening.
No matter the procedure, Dr. George always keeps me informed as to what he’s doing and why, as well as shares alternatives when applicable. As a patient I always feel informed, and even more so, I also feel involved and empowered in my treatment decision.
I’m extremely afraid of needles… and whenever anesthesia was necessary for treatment, I have never felt a single injection going into my gums! I don’t know how Dr. George does it, but I’d rather get anesthesia from Dr. George than have blood drawn anywhere.
Given the various dentists I have seen prior, and the variety of treatments I have received over the past decade I can say that Dr. George by far is the best dentist I have ever had!
From the moment I enter the practice to the time I leave I am put at ease. Every visit/​treatment is very personable, the staff very courteous and friendly. I am very, very happy to have Dr. George as my dentist!

This is my 2nd review as it has been a year now since I have been going to see Dr. George. I had a few fillings taken care of today as well as a permanent crown put on. I have always had an apprehension about going to the dentist until I started to go to Dr. George’s office. He makes his patients feel at ease and always makes sure that you are comfortable, numb and doing o.k. I will also mention that all of his staff is amazing as well. Everyone at the office and his dental assistants are incredibly nice and a pleasure to deal with. If you are in San Diego, I strongly urge anyone to go see Dr. George, you will not be disappointed!!!

Just went back to Dr. George for a new retainer. My old one broke and I procrastinated getting a new one. This of course led to my bottom teeth going crooked again. Thankfully Dr. George and his staff got me a special retainer (very reasonably priced) that they manipulated over the weeks to slowly move my teeth back into place. It’s pretty amazing that I didn’t have to get braces again! Thanks for taking care of me again Dr. George! I will continue to send business your way. If you want your teeth straightened fast, there is no better dentist than Dr. George Georgaklis!

Dr. George and everyone at his office is great. I came to Dr. George to fix my front teeth and my cross bite. He did it in only 6 months, as promised. I was living in Chicago for school at the time and they always accommodated my schedule and would fit me in whenever I came home to San Diego to keep me on track.
It always bugged me that my front teeth seemed so much bigger than the rest of my teeth, but I didn’t think there was anything I could do to fix it. Dr. George suggested gum sculpting and I’m so glad he did because my teeth look so much more proportional now.
The staff is always so friendly. They always greet me by name when I walk in. Sometimes they even recognize me when I call before I even say my name. They are also great with working with my insurance to make sure everything is affordable (on top of all of the discounts that Dr. George offers).

I heart Dr George. He is an artist who strives for perfection. I suffered from jaw pain — grinding had re-​aligned my teeth and the muscles in my jaw required nightly massage and regular ongoing physical therapy was not doing the trick. (Gloved therapists sticking their hands in my mouth to massage the muscles! Ouch and ick!) I stumbled upon an article siting how Dr. George had been an innovator using Invisalign in instances similar to mine. Well, it has been a couple years since I removed those puppies, but there isn’t a photo taken that I do not say to myself, «Thank you Doctor George!» And honestly, going in, it did not occur to me my teeth were going to be straightened in the process! Duh, right?! Since then I have returned for cleanings, a cap replacement (a wrong-​color, metal base, ill-​fitting cap done by another dentist years ago), and my daughter has visited him, too. Important to me – he knows how to numb you without feeling the needle! His staff knows how to deal with my sucky insurance, and me when I am being anxious, irritable, nervous, late, or in a hurry.
I am an artist/​actress and it only donned on me when he was replacing the cap, as he was tweaking to fit and fill to his very high standards, that he is like a sculpture — an artist. This is what sets him apart. He could have plopped that cap on and moved on to the next patient, but no, HE needed to have that voice inside of him that artists are slave to say, «THAT is the way it should be.»

Cheese!!! I can now say this with confidence — Dr. George gave me a perfect smile in only 9 months. My teeth were horribly crooked — especially the bottom ones. I was embarrassed and always tried to hide my teeth when I talked or smiled. With 9 months of braces and some enamel shaping I now have beautiful teeth. I have gotten compliments everywhere I go about my teeth. Not only was the process quick and effective, Dr. George is a very kind man who takes the time to make sure you are 100% happy. His office staff is friendly efficient. I have recommended Dr. George to a friend who also needs braces and I will recommend him again.

Dr George gave me the smile of my dreams! I’m a young professional and was never happy with my smile. I wanted a quick and effective solution to fix my crowded smile. I first went to Dr George 6 months ago for a free consult on speed braces. After the consult I felt very confident in Dr George’s straight teeth in 6 months braces treatment plan. In the past other providers had told me that my complicated case would take at least 2 years to complete. When Dr George told me that my case would only take 6 months, it was music to my ears!
I went ahead with the treatment plan and was fitted with clear braces for 6 months. After completing my 6 month treatment plan my smile is perfect!!! I’m very happy with my results and would consider them life changing. I have more confidence with my new smile than I could have ever imagined! Dr George and his staff are very pleasant to be around and professional. I continue to see Dr George for all of my dentistry needs. I would recommend Dr George’s services to anyone! Dr. George gave me the smile I always wanted! I had been unsatisfied with my teeth for years. My first orthodontist failed to straighten my teeth even after two years of treatment. Dr. George straightened my teeth very quickly and used gum sculpting to give me a beautiful smile. I always had smaller teeth and a smile that had more gums than I liked but the gum sculpting procedure exceeded my expectations. If you want that perfect smile I highly recommend Dr. George.

Still seeing Dr. George, and he’s still everything I could want in an orthodontist. The other week I had to go in to get fitted for a new retainer (after 2 years the upper piece had cracked). Dr. George hooked up me with a great deal, and even adjusted my bite gratis. The next day I went to pick up my retainer. I’m sitting in the office waiting for him to check the fit when the power goes out. He checked the fit by flashlight and sent me on my way.

I’ve been seeing Dr George for 10 years and I’ve never been disappointed. I just went in for a consult for Invisiline and he not only gave me a significant discount because we’re only doing the top teeth, but is working with me and my insurance to pay for everything.
When I didn’t have insurance he worked with me to pay for everything, and didn’t insist on extras that might jack up the price. The office workers are very friendly, they answer emails quickly and are very knowledgeable.
