Happy Car Wash

Service is ok, I always spot check my car and have them get spots they missed before I leave. The initial guy always tries to up sell me. I always refuse and get a simple clean. Not bad but not super either.

They do a pretty good job, and they are very fast. I’ve been coming here for both the detail and car washes, and am very satisfied.

This is the worst car wash in San Diego. Had my truck hand waxed and they left chunks of wax all over. When I showed the workers they looked at me and shrugged their shoulders. I grabbed my own rag and finished it myself. This was not the first time they’ve done a lousy job. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Yesterday I brought in my car for a good wash. I bought the $ 34.99 because it said vacuum trunk, etc… I told the attendant all the stuff in the car is trash and to throw away. Upon picking up the car, none of the trash was throw out and when I got the car home the trunk didn’t even get vacuumed. So what did I pay for? Well they washed the floor mats and that is about it. Will not go back.

Cheap and Quick. Im pretty sure they washed the outside, and can see that they vacuumed the carpets. As far as vacuuming the seats, wiping off dust, getting dirt off my car, or basically anything else– didn’t happen. I purchased the ‘platinum wash’ for $ 25. This was a bronze… Maybe

Get my car washed here evwry week. The young sales guy is always there, is professional and always takes good care of my vehicle. Friendly and efficient, I would highly recommend this car wash. I also purchased a detail job a few months ago, car came out like new! my go to spot for a detail job. They have a nice waiting area and little café too!

Awful!!! Paid $ 60 for «the works» and still have dirt on my car and stuff all over the windshield… They didn’t even vacuum the seats of the car. Could have done the same job at a self service car wash.
Just plain awful. Will never return and make sure my friends and family do not waste their money!

I found the reviews for this car wash the complete opposite… I have used other car washes in the MCAS Miramar and Mission Valley areas not to be «professional»… I brought my previous vehicle to these men and they always made her look brand new… They are very polite, very professional and even though I have never encountered an issue with their services, they have always made the customer happy before leaving this location. I have a brand new car and I will never take her anywhere else than here… Happy New Year everyone!

They did an amazing job! Best car wash I’ve had in a long time. Detailed and spotless and friendly staff. I’ll definately be a regular here for now on.

I’ve been coming here for years and this is the first review that I’ve done for them. This place has pros and cons. If you want a cheap car wash, quick vacuum, and a quick dry then this is your place but don’t expect to get top notch service because this place gets packed. If you want detail you have to go to a place that has a much larger staff. The guys outside are working hard and they’re trying to crank every car out as quickly as possible while trying to maintain the quality of work. It is very difficult to leave your car spotless for $ 15 and four to five cars being serviced at the same time.
They’re a good bunch, they work hard, it’s not the best but it’s far from the worst.

Better off washing your own car… rushed job. they said they vacuumed but there will still be dirt and dust everywhere. No air freshener that they mentioned in the package. 15.00 for a really bad car wash, please go else where.

Well what can I say… I got duped into getting a ‘hand wax’…
I cannot believe this kind of service exists!!! Just Terrible!!!
I had to stand out there for over 15 minutes trying to get my money’s worth trying point out every single bit of the car that needed cleaning. Had I not done any finger pointing I would have walked out with just a car wash. As the guy that was helping me (for whom I had a tip for) just walked away from the car without saying a word… I noticed that all the rest of the guys were sitting down on the tables in the waiting area.
The hand wax consisted of a guy adding the wax liquid and running the machine on it. Not the usual big machine, but a smaller one. and it took less than 15 minutes to do the wax work. I even told the manager at the front taking order and he said, it’s normal.
Now I am not an expert on waxing cars, but I do know that you first need to do some deep cleaning on the current wax and then apply the new wax on top. They only did the latter. I would NEVER go back to this place.
I admit it! The job SUCKS! It’s a hot day! and they don’t get paid the big bucks. But if those guys are gonna be charging expensive prices for waxing a car the least they can do is a decent job. I could go on and on about their lack of work ethics, prices and the bad equipment setup but its not going to clean my car and it’s not going to fix the management or the employees at that place. But I can tell everyone on Unilocal to NOT even consider this place, take your money elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience here about a year ago but recently decided to give them a 2^nd try since they’re close to my office and I’m very glad that I did. They did such a great job on my car I brought my wife’s car in to get an interior detail. Not only did they give me 50 bucks off the normal cost of $ 150, they did amazing work and got it done in 45 minutes. There’s even a new café with fresh to order food that’s good and not expensive. Minus one star for the crappy wash a year ago, judging by the negative reviews I’m guessing it’s got a new manager or owner.

Never going back there. used to go there all the time. Now they just say the give you a 50 dollar wax and all it is is a spray wax. They also don’t know how to drive stick. After I told them twice to not put it through the machine wash, they still tried and got the car stuck in the process. Only giving them 2 stars because of when I used to go there. Even though the price has gone up to $ 12.99 for a basic carwash, the attention to detail has decreased. After my car was «done», I still had streaks on my windows, trash in the console and dirt smears on the exterior trim! Time to find a new carwash where they actually take pride in their work!

First guy helping you is pushy. Pretty rude when I said i don’t need a waxing. He said «you’re just gonna wait a couple of years huh.» What a douche. 2 stars for the guys wiping down my car. I gave them a $ 10 tip because they had great service. The wash was great but my advice is to just ignore the guy. Don’t fall for his upsale. Unless he shows a better attitude & service.

First time I went to Happy Car Wash I saw a sign that said you get a discount on your gas if you get a wash. Unfortunately, I went to the wrong pump — you have to use only the pumps next to the wash entrance. I got the wash anyway and was happy with the way it turned out, although they do try to up-​sell you; they offered a complete detail for $ 70. My car is two months old, I think it’s detailed enough, thank you.
The second time I brought my car back, I went to the correct pump (yay!) and got my discount (cool!), and was offered the complete detail (car is now 2 ½ months old, I’m good, thanks.), got the «basic» wash for $ 16.95. This time I noticed that when it came out of the «hand wash» machine, it had soap all over the back. They hand dry the car, so most of the soap was wiped off. I pointed out some spots on the rear bumper that were still soapy and the guy wiped them off. Later that day, I noticed long white streaks below every door handle, at the bottom of the doors, and on the rear bumper. This was from soap that was left in these areas. I was going to write a Unilocal!review about it, but I figured I would give them another chance — maybe the water pressure was off that day?
Third time’s the charm, right? Um, no. Car’s three months old now, still pretty well «detailed», thanks. I mentioned the soap thing, and the guy said he would give it an «extra rinse». Ok, cool. I was watching car after car come out of the «hand wash» machine, covered in soap, not just a little, but the entire back half of most cars. It was like the «hand rinse» machine was on break. So here comes my car, «extra rinsed» right? Nope, covered in soap, so I stopped them before they dried it and asked if they could rinse it again. They did, no problem. I didn’t see any soap on it this time, so the guy dried it. Later that day, the white soap streaks are back, below the doors, handles, and trunk. I don’t know if their machines, I mean «hand washers» were adjusted after that first nice wash, but I won’t take my car back to this place again, even when it does finally need that «detail» .
Almost forgot, I’m pretty sure they cleaned my windows with a pizza slice, just saying.

Shady! Pushy on upsale, no car detail is worth $ 69.99. I came for a no hassle wash and detail, left unhappy. Glass repair service is rude and pushy. Car still dirty and place just left a sour taste in my mouth. Won’t return!

Sitting here right now getting my car washed and waxed. I went to pick it up but there was dirt everywhere! This is my first Unilocal review am I am very dissatisfied with their service. I paid $ 60 for this wash/​wax and it looks like crap. I could have gotten a better wash in a drive through washer but at least they are fixing it right now.
Don’t waste your time here.
