Healthy I Care Optometry

I was very happy with the professional service.

I never even saw the doctor. Came in and made an appointment the week prior. When I finally came into the office for my eye exam, the girl at the desk tells me I’m not on the schedule. She would work me in but there would be a 45 min wait. What’s the point of making an appointment then? I don’t care if the new year is chaotic! You guys screwed up but are going to work me in as a walk-​in. I think not! Total disorganization on their part and I have to pay the price for their screw up! Then she tells me that the appointments are more like suggestions. They treat them as walk-​ins anyways. I definitely recommend people to go elsewhere. Came to Eye World inside the Zion Korean Market and way cheaper. Eyeglass and contact exam for $ 65 where Dr. Ho charges for $ 89.

Dr. Ho is probably the most thorough and helpful doctor I’ve had of any kind. I had a very severe cornea abrasion and he did everything in his power to help me get it healed. He shows real concern for his patients well-​being which is very hard to find nowadays. I would highly recommend him over any other optometrist in San Diego. He is very honest and you cannot beat the prices. Thank you again for all your help!

This is the second year I have returned to Dr. Ho for my vision needs. After having been to another (terrible) optometrist who just kept giving me different lenses and never bothered to actually address any of my issues, I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Ho took the time to listen to me, then explain what my issues were and what my options are to give me the best vision possible based on my circumstances. He never rushes me through my appointments, is always thorough and competent, and has a very pleasant demeanor. I highly recommend him! (And I must admit, I was skeptical due to the fact that the office is in Wal-​mart! Maybe that’s just me being a bit judgemental…)

Did not see the optometrist.
I came in for a quick repair job. Anetka was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would definitely trust them to work on my glasses again.

Dr. Ho at Healthy I Care is the best optometrist I have ever been to! He does not try to rush you through the exam (which has been the case with other doctors). He really cares about getting my prescription right and making sure my vision needs are met. He recommended the multi-​focal lens which have allowed me to read as well as see far. They have been working great for me for over 4 years.
After many years of wearing contacts with the wrong prescription, I can finally see clearly. Dr. Ho is the only one I will go to and I have recommended him to my friends and family.

Fulfilling a Promise to this «service provider.»
After visiting this Wal Mart and swearing everytime I go in and have some god awful experience with customer service that I will never go back.. .. (Please read all of the other reviews.) I heard the Vision Center was different.
Dr. Ho in the vision center is a blathering incompetent who considers it a subjective choice to include the obvious need for bifocal prescription in your written prescription without a special request because «MOST PEOPLE» don’t want it.
Gotta love a Doctor who bases his examinations, consultations, and prescriptions on the law of averages.
Go to him at your own risk.
His associate Dr. Truong seems to have some level competence and apologized for Dr. Ho’s OBVIOUS oversight. Dr. Ho did call me at home to let me know of MY mistake and that he had no intention of making it right. (I had already bought new glasses next door, don’t get me started.)
100 happy customers who say nothing, gets you nothing.
1 extremely unhappy customer with a lot of friends and the desire to tell stories… You get me. (Expensive 40 wasn’t it Doc?)

Great prices, super friendly people. You don’t have to sacrifice quality to get a good price on an eye exam.
