I come from 25 year career in an engineering company that was very customer focused, where product quality and service excellence was emphasized at all levels. I made an appointment online. When I came the manager grumbled that the system didn’t work & blame it on me like it’s my fault their system didn’t work. There were some calls coming during our conversation & he picked up the phone & slammed back down. Gee… what kind of business do that? I will never bring my car back to this place.

They have worked both my Dodge Durango & my Mazda Miata, & Always do a good job, communicate about what the problem is very well, & I always feel t hey are being honest about the work that needs to be done, not just trying to create business. They are a great addition to our neighborhood businesses.

Very pleased with the service AND pricing. I took off a star because on-​line appointments have consistently (3 times) not resulted in an appointment confirmation call back. However, once on-​site, the service is great and the waiting room second to none.

I’ve probably been here a dozen times since my last review and will definitely keep coming back. These guys are great! Larger auto shop chain professionalism and amenities with small «mom and pop» auto costs. All the mechanics are friendly and the office staff is very welcoming. They strike the perfect balance in fixing what needs to be fixed, notifying me of potential problems in the future and not overselling me. Finally a mechanic I can trust! Took me 3 years of getting ripped off by random mechanics around SD before these guys finally opened by my house and they are the best!

The reality behind Honest-​1 Auto Care is that they are very honest and caring when it comes to your vehicle. They always provide the reasonable options when it comes to a repair and make sure that their employees are fully equipped to fix the needs of any particular vehicle. They even have baby toys for toddlers! It has a great environment, mom-​friendly, definitely a great shop to go to when you are with the little ones! Highly recommended!

Got both my brakes (crown vic, and a nissan truck) fixed. Well, actually, my crown just needed a slight adjustment to stop making the sound it was making. They charged me fairly for everything, so I came back for an oil change (even though its 15 mins from the closest shop).
I must admit I enjoy the wait in the office. It’s uncanny how clean it is, I forget sometimes its an auto repair place, as I’ve been there more then 1ce for an oil change. They charge the same price as everyone else, and sometimes they have a special.
I go there for the no-​hassle sales tactics. They wisely advise my ignorance about cars not sales.
Actually, that’s the one thing I’ve noticed. They are sometimes too busy to add in an extra two cents of advice. They will tell me if somethings needing adjusting, but for the «long draw hash it out with a bunch of what if’s» doesn’t happen on these guys watch. I’m not to knowledgeable about cars so I’d appreciate a longer explanation sometimes. But that’s they’re only flaw so far, and I’m rating them as the family auto shop for life.

I have brought 3 of my cars to these guys and they live up to their name: honest. They do good work, and if there are any issues afterwards, they correct them. When they discover items beyond the initial scope of repairs, they explain their recommendations and don’t pressure you to take care of them right away.
As they have gotten more business, they have had trouble finishing work on a timely basis. I expect that to improve because the owner and the service manager seem genuinely motivated to do a good job.

I previously rated this business at 5 stars. I guess I was wrong.
My attempt to prove my loyalty by returning to this business was met with a complete disregard for my appointment time. I’ve used this business twice before and both times were excellent. This time… not so much.
I called about 5 days in advance for an oil change appointment at 1:30pm. When i arrived promptly at 1:30 I was told by John (the owner) that «his guys» were all at lunch and that they were running behind. He said it would likely take an hour. Stuff happens. i get it. I was willing to be patient. But after 45 minutes of sitting in the lobby and seeing that my car never moved in the lot I asked for my key and left.
What’s the point of making an appointment for a service if you are going to make customers wait for hours? It looks like this place is better run by the manager than the owner.

Honest 1 diagnosed a power steering problem during a recent oil change. I put it off for a while and sure enough, 2 – 3 weeks later I could barely turn the wheel and the noise was
irritatingly loud. Thanks to Honest 1, my wife’s van is purring like a kitten. They were also
over $ 100 cheaper than competitors. :)

Simply awesome. My husband took his car for repairs that was estimated by the Chevy dealer at $ 849. Yeah not so much. Here we had a perfect job done for us. $ 500 out the door.
We will never set foot at the Chevy dealer again. These people are professional, polished, and really get customer service. This is a true find. My suggestion? Call and make an appointment. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been accepting the mediocre auto work at Walmart for years; thinking that being Walmart — I was getting good pricing.
However, this morning after Walmart screwed up big time, I decided to go elsewhere. I was aware of Honest-​1 because it is in the same mall where we regularly shop and dine.
The staff there was cordial and skilled. I was in-​and-​out in approximately one-​quarter of the time that Walmart took and the final price was less expensive !!!

I just had shocks and struts done at Honest-​1. They were very honest and fair. I had new tires put on my car this morning at Discount Tire and the people at Honest-​1 discovered that the technicians at Discount had forgotten to put a part on the valves on one of my tires, causing the tire to leak. Honest-​1 replaced the small part free-​of-​charge and saved me the hassle of returning to Discount.

They were really quick, very nice, and truly live up to their honest name! I was buying a used car and inspection so I could find out what I was getting into. Other shops charge $ 80 – 100 for a bumper to bumper inspection. Honest-​1 offers a FREE inspection!!! (The only thing they do not include is brakes and tires.) I had a keurig coffee while I waited in their clean and comfortable lounge and within 30 minutes Jamar the mechanic had completed it and I had answers! Thank you so much for a great experience!

Just moved out here from LA. Received a flyer in the mail and decided to try these guys out due to their ratings and their nearby location.
Made an appointment for a synthetic oil change. Was in and out in a lil over an hour. They had some complimentary drinks and TV to watch while my significant other and I waited. Next time I’ll bring my laptop since they offer free Wifi too. Very friendly.
Price was ok. Will probably be back to get my gf’s oil change here.
