Imagine That Children’s Academy

The best daycare center ever, this was our 2^nd center in San Diego, our daughter loved miss Debbie and miss Carla the first time she saw them, for the first time she wanted to stay at a daycare and refuse to go home. She is learning something new every week. Both miss Debbie and miss Carla work hard with the kids, love them and teach them, they do projects every weeks, they play, learn, dance and sing here. I saw many other places here but none of them is good as this place, it’s like a second home to us.

I had to write a review because Imagine That Children’s Academy is a wonderful place to send your child! Miss Debbie and Miss Carla are caring and passionate teachers. You can really tell that they put the time and effort into the children — they are always doing creative fun projects and our son comes home singing songs, including his ABCs and he just turned 2! He’s learned his shapes and colors, can count to 10, and can do countless other things that demonstrate the attention they put into teaching each child. The facilities are clean and organized with lots of toys that are aimed at learning. The children get to spend time outside playing every day in a great back yard that they are always improving and updating. The children are served healthy homemade food, which we found really important. I would 100% recommend sending your child to Imagine That Children’s Academy!

when we moved to san diego we found a daycare for our daughter but she was unhappy and she didn’t learn anything. So, I started to look for another preschool, we picked «Imagine That children academy» and our daughter loved miss Debbie and Carla from the first sight. We noticed that our daughter was happy, excited to go to the daycare everyday. As a preschool they are excellent, we noticed that our daughter is learning and developing everyday. Recently we moved from our home and the daycare is faraway but we couldn’t change it because we won’t find better than this place for our daughter. I really recommend this preschool and believe me they are the best.

This review is long over due. I started my son at Imagine That just a month before his 1^st birthday. We toured about 8 day-​cares before finally choosing this. We just got that warm and fuzzy feeling about everything. Our son stayed at home with family for the first 11 months of his life, so transitioning to a daycare was emotional for him and us! But Carla and Debbie were great, and helped all of us with the transition!
The feeling of ease and comfort knowing that your child is in great hands while you are away is priceless.
Our son would bring home little art projects, so cute! The kids get lots of out door time as well.

7. They are very accommodating with special diets. My family is vegetarian and they’ve always been so great about giving him a modified menu.
There is not one bad thing I can say about this day care. I would highly recommend them to anyone and anybody!

We absolutely live Miss Carla and Miss Debbie, and possibly even more important than that, so does our son. When our previous daycare closed we were crushed but it was a huge blessing in disguise. We searched high and low and immediately knew we found the right place when we stumbled upon Imagine That. Our son has been there since they opened (about 9 months) and we couldn’t be any happier.
Imagine That provides structured, clean and safe environment for our son to learn, interact with other children, and grow. The house is set-​up just like a school. There are two classrooms and large outdoor play and picnic area. The days are very structured which works very well with our son. They provide healthy meals and organic milk for the kids. They never watch any tv (this was a must for me) and provide age-​appropriate curriculum for the kids. Our son is almost 2 and is learning to spell his name, shapes and colors. They do a ton of art activities, read books and listen to music/​dance, all of which my son loves.
Debbie and Carla have a true love for children and their passion shows in their daily care for our son. I have zero worries when my son is at school and as a first time mom that says a lot! I would definitely recommend Imagine That to anyone looking for excellent care for their children!

I simply love Miss Debbie and Miss Carla. Our one year old son is thriving now after removing him from a not so good facility. Their learning based curriculum, weekly art projects, music and dance, and plenty of outside time just touches the surface of care and consideration they put into their day. From weekly meal schedules, to nap and potty documentation, and language enhancement, I know everyday that my son goes there, he is getting the love and care I would give him if I stayed at home. I have total confidence he will continue to thrive as he gets older, and feel blessed that I found a place that goes above and beyond to care and enrich my son’s life. They are the next level of progressive and meaningful enhancement learning that every child should receive.

Okay, so I wrote a really long review before, alas due to technical difficulties it did not save. So this isn’t nearly as funny or engaging as most of my reviews, but here goes.
The daycare is great, its a nice cross between daycare and preschool. Its got some structure to it but its a lot of play time cuddles, and art. They have a lovely big back yard with a swing set and a mini garden. The kids have planted pumpkins and green beans so far. They go out everyday for at least 30 minutes which I think is super important as otherwise Gray would only be outside on the weekends.
They have two classrooms one for kids under 2 and one for kids over 2. The rooms are each super cute with appropriate toys and books for each age. Everything is really clean and smells good and the food choices look delicious. They serve Organic Milk and attempt to keep the fruits and veggies local, organic, pesticide free. I’m all about limiting chemical, hormone, and antibiotic exposure in my kid so all of these things make me happy.
The cost is super affordable. It was the same cost as our last daycare. So we were happy to pay that. I found in my search for daycare that other places with the similar amenities and care the cost was several hundred dollars more and over twice as much in one case. I did find 2 places that were cheaper, but you get what you pay for as in it’s grandma’s living room and your kid watches TV all day.
Most importantly Carla and Debbie are great! They have started their own small business and are really passionate about what they do. I really appreciate the risk and the guts it takes to leave a secure job and go out on your own. I highly recommend bringing your child here, and as an added bonus since they just opened they are currently accepting kids. Can’t beat that.
