Cute candy store in the gas lamp. It is your average candy store with some elevation to it. They have huge size candy boxes and some gag gift candies for your buddies. This place is pretty big so watch out parents, your kids will go bonkers! I sure had s good time scoping the place and seeing all the fun stuff I would buy. They even have candy string bikini and undies, flavored candy Chapstick, and so much more. They also have a lot of international candy! Great place to just pop in and get a couple pieces of candy to satisfy your sweet tooth too.

Super cute candy store right in the middle of downtown. I love their wide selection. My husband loves sour candies so he was excited as well! They have some international goodies and a bunch of really funny sweats like dingleBEARies, monkey poo and even bacon popcorn. The girl that helped us was really nice too!

Have a sweet tooth? Come here for candies galore and candy affliated merch. We were wandering about during comic con and came here for a sweet treat. The candy is weighed and you just grab a bag and fill it up with whatever you please. I was excited to see they have Chuppa Chup lollipops! But sad they didn’t have my fave flavor: Cappuccino!

Man, I walked outta this place buying nothing but feeling like diabeetus. It’s much like Sugar Factory but more touristy and with a lot of variety and some gag gifts tossed into the mix(magnets, tshirts, etc). The bulk candy goes for some $ 6.98 for ½ pound and $ 13.96 for a full pound. Or you can fill a box for $ 14.99 but really why?(Hashtag cavities, hashtag diabetes.) You’ll find all sorts of gummies, novelty candy, chocolate and even cereal and lots of old fashioned candy too. There’s a whole section with imported candy from Japan, the U.K. and the like. Cute store, but rather overpriced. Definitely more of a tourist stop than a store for regulars. I would totally buy the box of cereal with just the marshmallows(can’t believe General Mills hasn’t thought of that one yet…)

Loving it here! This is a great place for gifts for that original personality that has everything. I love it for the novelty items. They have Clueless merch as well as SNL stuff which can be hard to find in stores. I’m not much of a candy person but I imagine I would be in heaven if I was. A box of Nerds the size of my torso? Sign me up. They have a very good magnet selection with witty little sayings and cartoons. I always purchase at least one every time I go. My purchases here have ranged from a Breakfast at Tiffany’s mug to a zipper pouch that looks like an evidence bag. I mean come on!!! Prices are moderate. Also a good place to take your out of town relatives who have probably never seen anything like it. Small, but adequate, they’ve got my vote. It’s a fun store for the whole family. The kids will love it for the same reason the adults do.

–this is a fun place, similar to sweet factory but a bit bigger with more packaged items, novelty candy(extra long twizzlers, wacky cereal boxes, world’s largest tootsie pop etc) and candy-related merchandise(tshirts, lip balm, mugs, pillows etc)… fun stuff for yourself or great gag gift items, some are x-rated and perfect for a bachelorette party –its in the heart of the gaslamp and open till 11pm… fun to browse and pick up a few treats –there’s a lot of japanese and british/canadian chocolate(flake, coffee crisp, bounty etc) –the pricing overall is pretty high, especially on items you can find at mass retail stores(m&ms, jelly belly) –the bulk section is $ 6.98 for ½ pound or you can fill a box for $ 14.99… pretty pricey for mostly generic gummies, but on par with other candy stores and you’re paying for the ability to mix and match and get some more unique stuff… they have some gummies I haven’t seen before(piña colada sour balls, foamy seastars and the crunchy candy coated gummy bears I’ve been looking to find for a while). the gummies are really good quality and there’s a lot of sour ones! –the chocolate bulk selection is really lacking; your generic chocolate nuts, cookie dough bites and a other than café latte malt balls, nothing new. the quality is also mediocre. –the store is new so everything is bright, clean and fresh –the guy working was super nice, fun and helpful!!! overall, it has mass tourist and impulse appeal… a nice fun place to browse, pick up a few yummy gummies and fun gifts, but not really a place you’d search out as a source of really gourmet treats

OMGCANDY! I like the variety in this shop. Lately, I’ve been walking into Sweet Factory and I’ve been pretty bored with the same thing all the time, so I’ve been walking out empty handed(also partly due to my boyfriend joking about how I had a jelly belly). It was nice to see different candies. This place even had the chicken feet gummy candy that I like. There were a lot of fun things to look at.

This place is very similar to a sweet factory. Bag and pay when you weigh of you can buy a 15 dollar carton and stuff in as much as you like. Very nice interior, staff was friendly.

Not for children, or the faint of heart… This is the new downtown San Diego outpost of the famous candy shop in Las Vegas. When you first walk in to this rainbow-colored store, there are lots of family friendly items, like gummy everything in bulk bins(even gummy bacon and eggs!) a whole Easter Peeps section(currently 30% off including plush toys) and lots of colorful candies. As soon as you get to the middle of the store, there are a lot of adult items: candy underwear, giant rainbow lollipop hoo-haws, and a whole display of Saturday Night Live novelties, including the famous d*ck in a box. But there are also lots of fun gag gifts: like a $ 20 giant gummy bear that you would probably never eat. And a $ 13 torso-sized box of Pop Rocks that you probably COULD eat and have a lot of fun with. Props to having a whole British section on candies, in case you want a Crunchie or Flake bar. They have my favorite Mars bars, but upon close inspection I noticed they were imported from Ireland, not Slough UK, so I think they may be slightly different than the truly authentic English variety. I suspect though it’s still better than going to Cost Plus World Market, which gets Mars Bars from Poland. They are open until 11pm so it’s fun to check out after a dinner in the Gaslamp.

I’m a sugaraholic. I love that this shop popped up in the gaslamp! They have all the classic goodies, regular and giant sized. Great candy selection for gag gifts for birthdays, bachelorette/bachelor parties and fellow candy lovers! The even have a great selection of Asian Candies — no need to trek to the far away Asian market for that ‘Poppin Candy’ fix.
