Room Service SD

I just want to know… what happened??? You had such a great presence (I always saw you at the building) then you were gone? I still have friends who come over saying «oh we can just order room service…» Then I have to say… «sorry, they closed» I am profoundly disappointed.

If zero stars were an option, SD room service would achieve it. Absolutely terrible company! I’ve tried to place an order no shit 5 times on various days, times, and methods. I’ve called, text, and tried ordering online, not one successful order. Ever since the new ownership this company has gone to shit! You want a business proposal on how to sink a successful company, ask whoever purchased this flop!

Hands down the best clam chowder I’ve ever had!!!
Also my food was delivered on an electric bike! How cool is that?!

This is the best food delivery in San Diego! My boyfriend and I are always wanting to order in food and typically the food arrives cold or just not very good — let alone healthy. I have ordered the grilled salmon since we discovered the place and I am obsessed. Delicious healthy delivery? Yes please! Oh my boyfriend also got the rib eye and loved it. Lemon chicken not so much.
I have been raving about this place for the past week and highly recommend!

We were excited to try Room Service SD and finally ordered the perfect hangover cure, a couple cheeseburgers. The menu has lots of yummy looking options, and I was trying to decide between the Western Burger, Carnitas Plate, and the Chicken Pesto sandwich. I ended up ordering the Western Burger.
The food was delivered within an hour (an hour seems to be the standard with third-​party delivery services, e.g. grubhub). The food itself was packed in nice boxes and the food was neatly organized within the box.
Whenever I order delivery I always expect there to be some allowable decrease in quality based on the simple fact that it takes much longer for the food to arrive after having been cooked which can make food soggy, sauces can cause a mess or soak into the food, and/​or the food can be cold. However, my Western Cheeseburger was better than many cheeseburgers I’ve ordered in sit-​down restaurants. I would order this burger delivery before ordering, say, the burger from Neighborhood, Knotty Barrel, Bub’s, or unsurprisingly, Smashburger.
Specifically, the patty was tasty, tender, and cooked perfectly to order (medium-​rare), the bun was delicious and surprisingly not at all soggy. The veggies were fresh and delicious. The french fries were really tasty, however, as is always the case with french fries ordered through delivery, they were a teensy bit soggy due to being in a hot box on the trip to our place.
I feel the following are a few things that could improve the service:
— It would be nice to add condiments to the order, e.g., I wanted to order a side of ranch dressing with the burger, but didn’t have the option;
— If Room Service SD can perform some miracle and figure out how to deliver french fries without them becoming soggy, I would truly be impressed.
Overall, we had a great first experience with this service, and it’s nice to know we can order delicious food from one of our neighbors.

Just did breakfast w/​champagne. I never drink during the day, but it was well worth it. Faster then they said, we’ll presented. Try it again for sure.

Won’t be ordering from here anymore, which is very disappointing to me. Will not go into detail… just make sure you get what you order in the size that you order.

Room Service SD is by far the most amazing restaurant delivery service available. To say that it is «only for rich people» is absolutely ridiculous. I have ordered religiously from them for the last 3 years and their food has always been incredible, the customer service is beyond amazing, and the speed and convenience they provide is unparalleled. Not only can they compete with the best places downtown, but they do it quickly, and easily right to your door. A quick signature on an iPad and a humble thanks from the owner and your good to go. Absolutely amazing!

WHAT A RIP OFF.
I guess Room Service SD is only for really rich people who can afford to spend $ 30 on mediocre, luke-​warm food that they could have just walked 2 blocks for. Room Service SD is a complete rip-​off because the food isn’t anything to write home about, the service is inconsistent at best and the prices just aren’t fair!
The order minimum is $ 15, however many menu items are $ 13 and $ 14 which forces you to order more things that you don’t really want. (Or, yes you could just spend $ 15 on shrimp that has been crammed into a to-​go box and sitting in a car waiting to get to you.)
The fact of the matter is, food is best when it is fresh, so when it comes to delivery timing and packaging is everything. I won’t order from room service sd until they invest in packaging that gets my food to me in an eatable fashion, or until they lower the prices.
I mean c’mon, who wants to spend $ 13 on soggy nachos? Oh wait. That’s right, you have to spend $ 15 to even order: so would you like to add a $ 2.00 bottle of water to that? (literally the most economically option).
Don’t waste your money!!!

OH EM GEE!!! What an amazing idea! I just moved to Vantage Pointe a week ago and I ordered room service the first day I was here. From the initial ordering to the delivery of my food, the service was professional and prompt! The personnel who took my order and the personnel that delivered my order were both so friendly! I ordered the shrimp scampi and the sampler. It was AMAZING!!! Totally professional, quick, and convenient service!!! I actually took the shrimp scampi to work with me as I work night shift… Saved me a trip to the grocery store before going to work =)
Everything on the menu looks so good and I can’t wait to try more! I LOVE THIS SERVICE… Why didn’t I think of this???

Food is yummy and well prepared-​4 stars. The service gets 5 stars for giving a different delivery option in downtown San Diego other than pizza and Chinese. Burgers, pasta, fish, appetizers, pizza, sandwiches, chicken curry…
We ordered the French Dip sandwich, chicken curry, and garlic bread. Husband enjoyed the sandwich although he said he didn’t like the sauce that much (and yet ate it all up… you decide :-). I had the chicken curry and enjoyed it. I liked the fact it came it a bunch of vegetables that were steamed. The garlic bread was actually more like a garlic cheese bread pizza. Not bad, just not what we were expecting (which I guess was garlic bread toast…). It was good and the kids who were in a finicky mood ate it and liked it.
Food came fast-​less than 30 minutes from when I called which is waaaay less if I had walked across the street to Ralph’s, purchased ingredients, and made the dishes all myself. Prices were IMO reasonable for providing something different with good ingredients.
Needless to say, even though we’re just visiting SD we’ll order from here again (sightseeing, little kids, who wants to cook?). If I lived here it would certainly be in our regular rotation.

Fantastic. Did not dissapoint at all. Its hard to prepare good meals for delivery. Unless its Pizza or Chinese food it invariably arrives soggy or dry or cold… or mushy. Everything was GREAT! Ordered the Chicken Curry (mild, very mild) and the Chicken Enchiladas. Loved them both. Crisp presentation. Exactly on-​time. I am sold!!! And the delivery dude was nice too! I set-​up candles for me and by husband and we had a lovely dinner together — the food was up to «candlelight» standards. Do wish their info page had a better explanation of what to expect from set-​up perspective (ie: with a name like room service, do they present it the way a hotel room service would etc.). Also think their new «re-​designed» web ordering could have been more practical. It works but you can only see one menu item (or two) at the most at any one time.
But most importantly… the food was great! I’ll do it again!
PS: Prices are actually cheaper than most upscale hotel room service. So a good option.

Are any of these reviews actually real? They all sound like they are written by the EXACT same person/​people. They just discuss the types of items that are sold, but don’t actually talk specifics like portion size versus price, or how long it actually takes to get the food, or what the food comes with (sides, silverware, etc.). I would appreciate it if REAL CUSTOMERS could share their stories.
Also, do you guys service 92 104 yet? Or just AVA/​Vantage Point?

Their service is super fast and friendly. Their food is really good too, it arrives hot and fresh, my favorite is the California burger, you should try it if you haven’t. Even the steak, which I was a little skeptical about (delivery steak didn’t sound particularly promising), is delicious!
Highly recommend this place.

The menu of room service sd is all the food I always crave: ahi stacks, chocolate calzones, pizza, cheeseburgers, loaded salads, Santa Fe rolls… It’s pretty hard to decide.
