Jensen On Park

I started going to Jensen about a year ago when she was in North Park and have followed her to her new salon downtown. The salon is adorable, it has a western them and a fun little funky vibe. I still absolutely love getting my hair done by her. The color looks fresh for a long time and I have always loved both the cut and color. She most recently recommended I do balayage technique instead of foils and I LOVE it! SO glad she recommended it and can’t wait to go back as she said it looks even better the second time you get it done.
I was initially concerned about parking since it is downtown but had no problem finding a meter spot since it is a little off the beaten path, just make sure you have change.
Very affordable pricing and she often offers deals for recommending friends or booking your next appointment when you are at your current one. I recently moved out of state but have already worked my next salon visit in to a trip back home to San Diego. Would highly recommend Jensen. Oh… and I can’t forget about the best part, the scalp massages!

I have been seeing Jensen since September and she consistently gives me great haircuts. Without fail, I am ALWAYS given compliments on my hair right after it is cut. Jensen is also great on advice for coloring and styling – she really knows her stuff! Her pricing is very reasonable considering her skill and time she spends on each client. I have an erratic schedule and Jensen always manages to fit me in, which is something I really appreciate. I’d definitely recommend her to any of my friends. She’s great!

I’ve been going to Jensen for over a year now to get my hair cut and colored. She is so skilled at cutting my funky wavy duck tail into smooth bob. In November I had Jensen apply the Pravana smoothing treatment so my hair would not frizz up during my trip to Mexico. It is still fairly straight! I did not have to use a flat iron on my hair for the first 12 weeks after I had my hair straightened! I sent my sister to Jensen and I don’t think her hair ever looked better. If you want a stylist who is very meticulous and skilled, then get in to see Jensen, you will not be sorry!

I randomly found Jensen through Unilocal and was hoping for the best yet not knowing what kind of treatment I would receive. I was extremely impressed. She took the time to really evaluate what haircut would look best and was very meticulous with her work. This paid off because I love my new haircut! My best friend even told me that, «this is the best haircut I’ve seen on you» which says a lot seeing as I have had almost every short haircut known to mankind. I HIGHLY recommend Jensen to anyone who desires quality for a reasonable price. Cheers!

I’ve been following Jensen to different salons in San Diego for almost a year and a half and even though I’ve moved to Orange County, I still drive down to see her! She’s amazing and totally knowledgeable with hair from color, cut, treatments and product recommendations!
She recently suggested me trying the pravana smoothing system that is formaldehyde free for my hair since my hair is naturally straight but is kinda thick and there’s a LOT of it. This treatment has worked miracles on my hair to keep it smooth despite getting caught in the rain a few times and now I don’t even have to straighten my hair at all unless I want it pin straight but before I used to have to at least straighten it to remove the frizz, so my hair will be a lot healthier!
I also love that Jensen helps saving me from making any crazy changes that will not work for my hair type or style (any type of bob).
She is a great person overall to spend a few hours with while getting my hair done as well as extremely talented! She is the best in SD! :)
