Jared from JK Drywall came to our house to repair drywall holes created when we installed a new heating and air conditioning system. He carefully repaired the holes. Mudded the surface and matched the texture of the new surface to the old. He came back the next day and primed and painted the work. It looks brand new and every detail, including color, matches the old. He is friendly, skilled and works quickly and effectively.

Excellent work. Matched the texture perfectly. Called me the night before to reconfirm. Showed up on time. Reasonably priced.

We had water damage on our ceiling that needed repair ASAP prior to selling our home. JK Drywall addressed it immediately and at an affordable price. Jarod is a man of his word, when he says he will do something he does it. Jarod and Gabe had a respectful and friendly disposition and showed a strong work ethic. When they were finished, the repaired area blended nicely with the rest of the ceiling; it looked great. I’d recommend these guys to family and friends.

I had a whole-​house (clean water) flood from a broken toilet tank that soaked the entire 900 sqft floor of my rental home in 3-​inches of water.
The damaged drywall had to be removed 2-​feet high in 3-​Bedrooms, 2-​Bathrooms 4 Closets & a 22-​foot hallway.

Jerod is a Knowledgable, Skillful, & Professional Craftsman. He is easy to communicate with… and he completed the job in sooner than agreed time. My expectations for a good contractor are simple: they do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, and do good work. Turns out it’s hard to find that :)
I found Jerod of JK Drywall on Unilocal and he did an awesome job.
I needed patching at three sinks from a recent job replacing the cast iron pipes at my house. I sent Jerod some pictures with dimensions, and he called me back as promised with a price range and an estimation of his next available dates. The price range was appreciated because it help set my expectation of what it could cost, with the understanding that once he actually saw the work in person, he could tell me if it was going to be lower/​higher, etc. He also gave him a range on the dates of when he could potentially complete the job; I appreciated this too, because it’s impossible to predict the future as a contractor :) I would rather someone set my expectations with a range than a promise they can’t fulfill. As it turns out he was available earlier than he originally communicated, and we coordinated an earlier time.
Jerod was thorough, cleaned up all the spaces he did work in, and did quality work. He communicated with me regularly on when he was available, and followed through on everything he said he would. If I have any drywall work in the future I’ll be sure to work with him.

We had a pipe leak in the ceiling of our bathroom which left us with 2 square holes in our ceiling. Jared went above and beyond repairing our ceiling all for the quoted price. He was on time, did a great job and got it all done in one day. I highly recommend Jared.

JK Drywall was recommended to me by a friend at work and I am happy to report that I couldn’t be more pleased with their work and customer service. Jerod was able to come out the same day we called to do a quick assesment and give us a quote. He was able to come back the next day to get the job done. If I ever need dry wall repairs again I will be calling Jerod… and if any one else I know needs a drywaller I will be recommending Jerod.

I recently had Jerod at JK Drywall come out and remove a window for us and fill the wall back in. They were prompt and communicated very well. Scheduling wasn’t a problem and they arrived on time.
They had the wall filled in but, due to some over jealous hammering from the frame guys, the drywall seam had developed a small crack. I called them back and without any hesitation, they fixed the crack and made sure it was perfectly straight.
When they were finished, it was blended so well, you couldn’t tell where the work had been done.

Jerod was professional, on time, and did an excellent job! While I hope to never have to use himagain, he’s the only guy I will use for drywall!

Jerrold was a great Unilocal find! I was having trouble finding someone to do a few projects on a tight timeline before I moved into a new place. He was really easygoing and great to work with. He was able to complete our projects in good time (walling up a door, removing a doorway, drywalling a post and another wall), and even came back on a weekend to finish because he wanted to make sure his work was as perfect as possible. He was very thorough and had really good suggestions for how we could improve on the projects. I really appreciated his flexibility, attention to detail, and hardworking work ethic. Definitely plan to use him again if needed!

Jerod is just about the nicest guy you’ll ever meet; his vibe is somewhere between your awesome, laid back, next door neighbor and the coach for your kid’s little league team. He answers my calls, chats, texts, cracks a joke or two and then gets right down to brass tacks.
He’s the kind of guy you want to grab a beer with… and I’m talking at a family get together, watching a game, not at some gross nudie bar. He’s stellar.
Drywall isn’t rocket science, so he doesn’t treat it that way. The work is straightforward and he explains it matter of factly.
He is very busy, reasonably priced, accommodating and always seemed happy to talk to me. I know that may not sound like much, but customer service and actually being able to TALK to your contractor is a rare thing nowadays.
My bathroom had a spill and ruined the ceiling of my downstairs neighbor, and not only did he come repair it, but he showed up TWICE, because he saw an electrical problem that he wasn’t comfortable covering up.
Of course that led to another month of red tape with a very unhelpful management company, but when the problem was finally fixed, he moved around his schedule, and fit in this repair on short notice.
It was great working with him, and there was so much plastic everywhere that hardly anything got messy. Drywall isn’t exactly neat work, but he made the best of it, and actually got extra work from my neighbors to repaint the whole ceiling (not just the part I was responsible for.)
One note: He prefers check, not card, so I wasn’t prepared; I thought most businesses didn’t like checks. But like many charming one-​man operations, this wasn’t discussed because payment is a separate beast to them. I can tell he’s focused on the work, and on doing a good job, not on overcharging or getting rich.
He even forgot the estimate he gave me (from a month ago) and was like, «What did I say it was… Okay, sounds good.» See, what did I tell you? His vibe is that of your awesome «neighbor-​next-​door,» who was cool enough to do some work for you. It’s charming. haha
(And frankly, he could easily charge more and he’d be worth it.)

Great work and price! Jerod came to my house and gave me a great quote. He took the time to talk to me on what I could do by prepping it before he got there to save $ 300.
I painted and prepped my damaged drywall and Jerod arrived on time and took the time to do it right. I have done drywall before and I could tell that Jerod really knew what he was talking about and took the time to do it right! He repaired about 300 square feet of drywall ceiling that was damaged from a leaky roof! His work was great and it looks brand new (This coming from someone who is very nit picky!) He even fixed some nearby wall cracks free of charge since he was already doing work in the same area!
His work was done on schedule and at the price he quoted me! He is licensed and insured so there is no need to worry about anyone coming back and suing you if something happens! Jerod also does all of the work with his worker so he does not just contract it out, like other companies. I got estimates from San Diego Drywall and Artison Drywall who quoted me more than $ 1000 more than Jerod did for the same job! Jerod is an honest guy with low prices and does great work!

JK Drywall is the best!!! Jarrod came out and fixed a job that was totally a mess. He repaired a bedroom wall and a portion of the ceiling that had water damage and dry walled by someone else that looked terrible. Jarrod said he could fix it and make it look 100% better. He did an excellent job and was so neat and clean. I would highly recommend Jarrod to anyone looking for a PROFESSIONAL Drywaller. He is the best and I will pass on his name and number to all friends and family for any Drywall needs, repairs or service! 5 Star Plus!

My house may not look like much to most people, but it’s my pride and joy so I really appreciate that Jerod did such a great job. He really took care and it’s obvious that he takes pride in the work he does.
Jerod skimmed and retextured two walls that were butchered by whoever textured those walls before, repaired a bunch of damage caused during my central A/​C install, covered up big holes in the wall where my wall heaters used to be mounted, created a really nice looking soffit to conceal the A/​C lines running through a room, and patched up a bunch of other holes throughout the house.
I will be using him again for sure and will recommend him to anybody who needs drywall work.

Jerod just finished working on a 7 day project at my house in Cardiff and did an amazing job. I had new wood floors put prior to him starting, and he went above and beyond making sure they were properly covered and not messed up. His prices were incredibly reasonable for the amount of work that he performed and he was very communicative throughout the whole project. The work was top notch and he even went back and fixed a few areas that we had not initially discussed. I would highly recommend Jerod to anyone with a drywall job, not matter how big or small.

Two gaping holes in our guest bathroom ceiling have magically disappeared, and the artist, Todd, is to blame. He removed the Paris watercolors, taped a plastic tarp to corral the dust, and took a bow in 2 hours, all for $ 225!
