I’ve been going to Johanna for over several years, too long to count! I absolutely love this lady. She is professional, great at what she does, and genuinely wants to help you! She is super friendly, caring, and overall a wonderful person. I won’t let anyone else wax me but her :) plus you get kisses from her doggie Jelly Bean!

I came here for my first experience being waxed and it was awesome! Johanna is very good at what she does and provides a super cute and comfortable environment in her adorable skin care establishment! I’m sure I’ll be making a second appointment for waxing and probably to also try a facial with her. I would absolutely recommend paying her a visit!

10 stars if I could! The owner Johanna is so amazing! I needed my eyebrows waxed and I stopped in because she is down the street from my work. She is welcoming and her space is calming with positive vibes. She talked and told and walked me through what she was going to do. She didn’t just lay me down with hot wax and rip my eyebrows at. It was totally comforting and a amazing experience. Going back to get a facial soon!

Johanna is best both in her knowledge, experience, & techniques (& awesome products), as well as in her «bedside manner” – incredibly gentle, friendly, and skilled, as well as reliable and always there to answer any questions you may have.
Her products REALLY help clear up whatever issue you may have (unlike some other facialist’s products I’ve tried)…from acne to clogged pores, to redness, or even just for a good bronzer/​self tanner that is kind to the face & pores.
And best of all (for me at least!), she’s very flexible with appt. times, taking early evening as well as day, and on both Saturday as well as Sunday even.
Last but not least, her pricing is reasonable and average for what other facialists charge for their services. Do your skin a favor, and book with Johanna from now on!

I live in Los Angeles now but I would happily jump in my car and drive back to San Diego for a facial from this skin guru.
I was blessed to discover Johanna through a friend 8 years ago when my skin was going through a funky breakout phase. Using her expert knowledge of acne, skin, and product interactions she quickly determined a régime to clear up problematic skin. Who knew my shampoo was causing me forehead breakouts?
She is still my go to when I have questions on products and she has the best products you can order. Ask her about P-​50 and tinted sunscreen.
Trust me on this– there is no skin issue this woman can’t fix.

I have heard so many wonderful things about Johanna and am so glad I finally went to see her! She is the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met when it comes to skin care. I got a much needed facial for the first time to help with acne and she was kind enough to spend so much time with me, not just simply doing my facial, but educating me on how to take better care of my skin on my own. My skin looks and feels more amazing than it has in my whole life. There is nothing more valuable than going to someone who is so trustworthy and who genuinely cares so much about their clients. She tests all of her products extensively before recommending them to clients, always makes sure you are 100% comfortable, and provides infallible and superior services. This lady is the real deal. I’ve been seeing different dermotologists for years since I was 17. I accidentally stumbled across her skincare boutique looking for a face wash my derm had given me and In a matter of minutes Johanna showed me everything I had learned from numerous derms over the years searching and more! she quickly put me on a new skincare regimen and my skin is looking amazing. She knows more than any derm I’ve ever seen and her practice is absolutely the best. Her close attention and genuine concern are extremely comforting and I feel safe with my skin for the first time in a long time.

Johanna is not only the best at what she does, but she’s genuinely passionate about the well being of her clients and the work that she does. She’s extremely knowledgeable on what causes acne breakouts and how to take the best care of your skin.
She’s also very personable and fun to be around… I was scared to death to get a Brazilian wax for the first time, and she made it a breeze by talking me through everything and making it as painless an experience as possible.
I regularly visit Johanna for facials, peels and waxes and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else now. I always have a great experience there and the results are never short of spectacular.

I have very sensitive, acne prone skin. Within a week, I noticed dramatic results. I never thought I could have beautiful skin. I always thought I was going to be stuck using heavy foundations to cover up spots for the rest of my life. But now, my skin is the last thing I worry about.

I went to this place for a brazillian wax. My first wax… at all… ever. Granted, I know that this can be pretty traumatic anyways, but this was pretty bad. The ladies working there are really nice. This may have just been a freak accident. I know people who go there and love it. But I got a brazillian and near the end it started to hurt really bad. My eyes started watering and i could not believe how bad it hurt. I thought it was just me and apologized for my wincing etc. I got home and it hurt just to wear underwear. I checked myself out in the bathroom and was missing about 2×1 inches of skin in a part where you DO NOT want to be missing that much skin. I decided… totally not worth it. I eventually told my roommate who gets waxed in LA regularly and she said that it was the woman’s fault. She said that you only lose skin when the wax is too hot. I know that they specialize in skin care (i.e. skin treatments) and spray tanning etc. but you should know that it was bad… really bad. And i’m not going back. Fair warning to everyone. I know that this could totally be a freak accident b/​c, like i said, i know someone who likes it there… but im not going back.

Well…let me tell you… If you care about your skin, Johanna is THE ONLY woman you need to see. Not only is she the most knowledgeable person in San Diego regarding skin, her waxing services rock! She gave me so much information and tips to keep my skin clear… my pores are super happy.
I have very sensitive skin and constantly worry about all products. Nothing she has ever used has effected me in the slightest. Not only do I have beautiful skin from my facial but I also have great product to continue the care at home. Lastly, she always waxes my eyebrows just how I like them.
