CARSTAR John Hine Collision Mission Valley features an expansive 25,000-square-foot full-​service facility, equipped with the latest in collision repair technology, tools and equipment. The shop utilizes CCC and Mitchell software, Chief brand frame equipment and electronic measuring systems, three heated downdraft spray booths, Miller and Chisholm welders, and Hunter alignment equipment.

With a staff of body shop technicians and painters that are all I-​CAR Gold Certified, CARSTAR John Hine Collision Mission Valley repairs all makes and models.

History

Established in 1957.

Family Owened and Operated Since 1957. John Hine Collision Repair Center is now Carstar John Hine Mission Valley. We have been serving San Diego as a Body Shop for 58 years. We’ve been in Mission Valley since 1966 when John Hine moved his Pontiac Dealership from El Cajon Boulavard where it originated in 1957.

Meet the Business Owner

John H.

Business Owner

John Hine, Jr. is president of John Hine Mazda. A second-​generation car dealer, John was a teenager when he started working at the dealership. His first job was washing cars.

Born in Dallas, John graduated from La Jolla High School and attended Northwood Institute, an accredited automotive marketing college in Midland, Mich. After college, in 1974, he joined the sales team at the dealership and became general manager in 1977. In 1983, he was named the dealership’s president.

The John Hine Auto Dealership and Body Shop is celebrating its 58^th year of business in San Diego.
