Justin Seng, DDS

I have been going to Dr. Seng for roughly 12 years, ever since another dentist (In carmel valley) dropped the ball on insurance.
Dr. Seng is a very responsive, and sympathetic. I was getting an implant and the cover fell off one evening. Stupid me, i didn’t come in until the next morning and amazingly the tooth-​well had 100% covered over with gum in just 12 hours! Yes, your gum grows that fast !! He said, «When you are in pain or in trouble, any time of the day or night, call me and i can be in the office in 20 mins, it’s that’s important to me!» The next morning, after I failed to call him, he took the time (2 hours, actually) to slowly help expand the gums again so that the crown cover could be reinstalled with no harm to me. Another, less patient and less-​caring dentist would have just hacked away at my gums to to move me through his mill, but Dr. Seng is not like other dentists.
I have had many procedures with him, including 2 complete implants (because of a bicycle accident 15 years ago). He took the time to do it right and both times, he recommended a custom color match and frankly, nobody will ever know that I have implants, he took a great deal of time to make certain the 2^nd implant was fitted correctly, even sending it back the first time when it was not perfect from the implant-​making company, and then taking more than an hour on each of two visits to optimize the second fitting, after it arrived.
Yes, he does sometimes offer extra services, such as bleaching, or special antibiotics that can help you to get an improved result from deep cleaning, or a rotadent. And yes, sometimes insurance does not pay for these services, and you have to be smart about whether you think the extra service is necessary. He does his own cleanings, he definitely gives great value for money in a friendly, family-​like atmosphere. I am very glad to be a part of his practice.
Dr. Seng volunteers for Doctors Without Borders, doing work for free for several weeks a year, most recently in Nepal, but you wouldn’t know about it unless you asked him questions to dig deep into his past, he’s a very un-​assuming man.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Seng and his team of professionals. He and his team have taken away my fears and each visit I become more confident with my smile. Don’t wait another day and see Dr. Seng and his team!!!

Dr. Seng is a reputable and long practicing dentist for over 28 years! He’s received many accolades, including an invitation to appear on the Dr. Oz show on Fox! His office is very convenient to get to located on Convoy between Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Balboa Ave. It’s close to the 805 and 163 freeway.
The staff is friendly and helpul whether you’re in the office or calling from work/​home! The doctor’s schedule is very accomodating. I was seen the same week. I always receive a warm welcome. Many returning patients are recognized by name and face by the front office staff and it feels like you’re family. They’re also very knowledgable if you have questions about insurance, co-​pays, or prices. Connie, the doctor’s wife, is very calm and personable. If you’re a regular patient like myself attending here with your family, she’ll chat with you amicably about how everyone’s doing. So I definitely feel cared for. I know I’m in good hands here. Even before you’re seated to see Dr. Seng, he’ll come out and give you some warm and comedic greeting. He has a neighbor-​like vibe. haha. I had a very thorough exam and cleaning by the doctor himself. At other dentist offices, it’s usually a hygenist who does th cleaning, flossing, etc, but here, you can be confident that Dr. Seng does the cleaning himself! He always welcomes your questions about your teeth and invites you to call if you have any concerns. If he recommends that you need continued treatment such as deep cleaning or a crown, rest assured that all paperwork is expedited and after a few weeks pass, the pre-​authorization is received, you’ll be called to schedule an appointment! He accepts nearly all PPO insurances and of course cash patients. If you’ve ever been to Western Dental or SmileCare and have had your teeth ruined, he’ll restore your teeth! Trust Dr. Seng with your dental care needs and leave with a confident smile!

I highly recommend Dr. Seng. I don’t think any one really look forward to teeth cleaning (or more), but Dr. Seng makes it as pleasant an experience as it can possibly be. I like the fact that he takes the time to explain what is going on. Good communicator, great bedside manner, supremely skilled. A great dentist all in all.

Justin Seng has been my dentist for over 15 years. He’s one of the funniest and most trusted family physicians i go to, since this is my mouth we’re talking about. No ones likes going to the dentist but Justin Seng and his professional staff make sure you feel at home.
They are usually first to have the latest equipment when out in the market The facilities are professional, clean and very comfortable.
