JW Floor Covering provides both residential and commercial floor covering installation services throughout San Diego County. Whether it is partnering with the Home Depot as their flooring service provider in San Diego and Las Vegas, or completing projects such as San Diego Airport Terminal 2 Expansion, the new Central Library, or the San Diego Symphony, we strive to provide the best product and customer service level possible!

In addition to our day to day business, our charitable entity, JW and Resource Floors Outreach for Humanity, has donated thousands of dollars and hours in volunteer time for many charities around San Diego and abroad, including San Diego Military Outreach Ministries, USO San Diego, Veterans for Peace, Rady Children’s Hospital, Mozambique Mission and many others. We are proud to give back to those in need!

History

Established in 1981.

JW Floor Covering, Inc. was started in 1981 by John Wallace from the back of a truck and was joined by ReSource Floors, Inc. in 1989. JW’s reputation is synonymous with experience and excellence. With nearly 300 employees, JW is the largest full-​service flooring company in San Diego County and operates from its own 22,000 sqft headquarters in San Diego, CA. JW also has additional facilities in Temecula, Elk Grove and Las Vegas; and is licensed in California, Nevada and Utah.

I got my carpet through Home depot and JW Floor covering did the work. We were on the schedule for 12:00pm but Jose R called at 7:00am and wanted to start early. This was not convenient for me but I said OK. He arrived on time but my helper to remove the furniture had not arrived so Jose R helped us remove all the furniture from the first room at no cost to me. All of the work was perfect and the cleanup was extraordinary.

Everything was great. The carpet installation was very smooth. The laminate could not be installed in the living room because the floor was not straight. Only the bedroom got laminate installation and it is just perfect. I love it, very smooth and professional. I was told that I will get a refund on the living room laminate installation labor and underlayment that was charged to my card in advance, but did not get any refund yet.

We purchased new laminate flooring and installation services through Home Depot (took advantage of their flooring installation special pricing they were running last month), and JW Floors was the contractor assigned to perform the install. The communication through the planning (gathering our HOA guidelines, reserving an install date, etc.) was professional and timely. As for the installation team (apologies in advance that I can’t recall their names) they were all extremely nice, worked hard, cleaned up after their work was done, and finished faster than expected. Their work was definitely top notch and you can tell they take pride in their work.

The installers from JW flooring were more than helpful when moving the furniture including an extremely large bookcase. They were very careful about leaving the exits unblocked. The most unexpected thing was phone call after the install to see how it went. I mentioned a very minor thing that I wasn’t even sure was their fault, and pleasantly surprised they sent another person out to look at the issue, and fixed it perfectly in less than five minutes. I don’t write reviews often but people need to know they can count on this company to do it right. Obviously this comes from the top down. Two thumbs up for exceptional management. If I had three thumbs, they would get that one too. Glad that Home Depot isn’t settling for just any installers. They found me the perfect professional company. It’s very rare to feel that a company values your business. This one does.

I purchased laminate flooring from Home Depot, and JW Floors was the installer that was sent out. Erik A. was my particular installer, and he did an outstanding job. He finished ahead of schedule — arriving early and staying late. Every time I checked in on him he was hard at work. He had a real can-​do attitude instead of fretting over this challenging install. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with this company again. My experience could not have been better. If Erik A. is your installer, rest assured, you will be happy!

I’ve had JW Flooring do two installs (via Home Depot). The first a one bedroom condo three years ago — went very smoothly. The second for a 2 bdr townhouse in San Mateo CA, just done, had some logistical issues and was rescheduled two days later with a partial refund for inconvenience. The job was ultimately done by Luis Aldana and Isidro. They were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, on time, fast, and good cleanup. They handled small but important «above and beyond» details. Overall, very satisfied.

We were fortunte to have Edward and one other installer working on our job. I couldn’t be more pleased. They work VERY hard and did a great job.
Carpet installed properly, furniture all moved fine, nothing broken, cat didn’t bet out, what more can a person want?
Seriously, this is ONE GREAT TEAM!

I am so thrilled with the installed floor in my kitchen. The installation team was quick, clean and thorough. A representative visited during the process to review the work. There was a follow-​up call to me to be sure of my satisfaction. Customer service was excellent. They were contracted by my order with Home Depot. The fees were more than fair, and cost less than I expected. I’m so happy.

We recently had a wooden floor put in our bedroom by JW Floor Covering. We purchased the floor at Home Depot and they were contracted to do the job through Home Depot. We were very pleased with their work. Shawn was the manager for the job and was very attentive and answered all questions we had. The two workers who did the job were Davit and Ruselan — they were very professional and finished the job promptly and as we expected.
We definitely would recommend their services, as we also plan to use JW Flooring for any future flooring needs we have.

We had our bedroom and hallway carpet replaced through Home Depot and JW Flooring was the subcontractor that completed the work. The overall process was really smooth. After ordering the carpet, it came in earlier than scheduled and JW called to see if we wanted to move up the install, which we did. Day of install, they were ahead of schedule and called ahead to arrive early which was great. The work was completed the same day and I received calls from their main office to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Great experience and highly recommend.

We had a large wood flooring project for our home through Home Depot. The initial install went well but there were numerous «touch ups» to be done. The first responders to the touch ups were less than stellar. Jason Rix, the original estimator and supervisor returned to tell us not to worry and that he would personally oversee and/​or perform all the corrections. In fact, he did just that!
Two days to complete every minute detail needed (the second day by himself) and would not even allow us to tip him. Home Depot should be grateful and JW Floor Covering should realize Jason’s worth if they have not already. If they are not careful, Jason will be running the competition.

I was so glad I purchased carpet and pad from Home Depot (HD), and had JW Floors (JWF) do the installation altogether. Not only saving time and money, most importantly I got quality job done.
Thanks to JWF’s Cunning and manager sending/​scheduling the best installer for me, and Clark’s excellent quality control. Oswaldo, the carpet installer from JWF Hayward, CA, was one of the best workers I have ever seen! Highly professional, experienced and hardworking, he worked three hours straight, non-​stop and passed lunch time, installing pad and carpet for me beautifully and immaculately, then rushed to another job site right afterwards, leaving me worried about he did not even have a chance to eat his lunch! Very impressive work ethics, efficiency and quality! An invaluable asset of JWF, he deserves a pay raise reward and necessary lunch break to keep healthy. I highly recommend!

What can I say, we had 1,200 sq ft of carpet installed in a 3 bedroom home with a large living room, hallway, and staircase. Jonathan arrived right at 9am when expected (finding out later after a 3 hour drive to the location). He went right to work and didn’t stop for a break during the 8 ½ hours that he did the install (by himself). He nailed down tack strips throughout the rooms, then 1,200 sq ft of padding, then 1,200 sq ft of carpet, cutting and winding his way up the stairs to do a great job. All in the 8 ½ hours. All in all, it was a great experience with a friendly tireless worker, and we’re extremely happy with the results. I would recommend them for an install and if I have anything else to do with flooring, I’m calling them. Then he drove 3 hours back… just wow :).

We got flooring from Home Depo. J W flooring installed it for us.
We had floors installed in Nov 2015. After a week we noticed the carpet was coming up by are tile in the kitchen. We called and they schedule an appointment on the day I asked and gave me a 2 hour window. Jesus G. Called 30 min before he came to make sure we were home. He was very friendly and fixed the area that was coming up. Then he went and reinforced the other places to make sure it would not come up later. We know we got a thick pad and with the tile it is hard, but the carpet looks great and he made the whole experience great.
