Zac and the guys at Karma Cars are amazing! They sold me and dad a car at a pretty good deal, but that isn’t why I’m impressed. The customer service is top notch. Zac assured us the car is in great condition, but if we ever run into any issues we can give him a call and he will find us the best solutions.

Just bought our 2^nd car from this location. It was fast and incredibly easy. I am so happy we went there and already told a friend. They have very nice, clean, and higher end cars, as well as Fords and Chevys. I would definitely go there again when we need a vehicle. Thanks!

Wonderful car buying experience!
I must start off by saying that I typically put off buying a car just so I don’t have to go through the painstaking experience that comes with dealerships, this time was completely different and Karma Cars was exceptional.
They have an very impressive selection of immaculate cars but I was especially taken by their German vehicles. All their vehicles were perfectly detailed and it felt more like a new car dealership. Jay was my point of contact through the entire transaction and since I was debating between two vehicles, he was very gracious in offering to test drive them several times and never pushed them on me and was extremely patient and knowledgeable of the differences between the two.
Once I had decided that I wanted to purchase a gorgeous mint condition 2014 X5 (very good price!!!), he led me through the financing paperwork and was approved within less than 30 minutes at an amazing rate and quite honestly not with the best credit history. My two year old twin boys were with me and all the sales staff was very accommodating in bringing them Legos and snacks so I would not feel pressured while making the purchase.
I drove away in my beautiful car with a full tank of gas and a truly positive experience. I’ve now had it for about 6 months and in that time have received a couple calls from Jay and his assistant asking how I am liking my car or if I have any concerns. Other than routine oil changes, I have not spent any money in repairs or anything.
Jay and his team are exceptionally honest, knowledgable and profesional and will be referring them to family and friends.

These guys are okay for ‘used car salesmen’ (and no white shoes or toupees). They obviously enjoy driving nice cars and dealing with good cars. They specialize in single-​owner cars with CARFAX reports, so the pedigree of the car is pretty obvious. The CARFAX report shows when the car has been serviced over its history.
My wife and I took our son to a few places to buy his first used car about a month ago. Some of them were REALLY BAD, but not this one. Yes, it’s next to a strip joint and there is no parking, but they moved a car for us so we could park legally in front of their place. We bought a Ford Explorer, but they did not budge much on the price. Still, when we found that the A/​C was not working during the test drive, they made good on their promise to recharge the system when my son took it back the following week.
Bottom line: I would rather deal with these guys than CARMAX, a dealership, or some of the really shady places we saw. We got a fair deal — it wasn’t a steal, but we didn’t get screwed. Our son is happy with his car and what he paid for it.

I debated writing this review but there were some issues that came up when speaking to a representative of Karma Cars I wanted to share. They are currently (as of 06÷18÷15) advertising a Honda Odyssey (No pictures shown). About 2 weeks ago I spoke to an employee who told me the vehicle was just received in their inventory and being reconditioned. He said it would be ready to view within a few days. Well almost two weeks later they are running the same ad (still no photos). I called again and was told the vehicle was in the repair shop for pre-​inspection.
The gentleman I spoke to on the phone said they just received the vehicle a few days ago. I confirmed we were still talking about the Honda. He said yes. Then he and I went round and round on how long they have actually had the vehicle-​Current database indicated closer to a month. Bottom line I felt there was not a whole lot of truth being told and getting a straight answer on the vehicle makes me not want to do business with this company. Unfortunate because it seems to match what we are looking for.
I hope this helps someone in determining where or where not they want to buy their next vehicle. Buyer Beware.

What a great experience
I was very pleased with the manner in which Jay conducted the sale of a Volvo S60 to me. Very informative and knowledgable. Good and neat selection of cars at Karma Cars Very stress free process and not pushy at all. Well done guys. You are bringing car sales to a new level. The best experience ever !

I never write Unilocal reviews, but felt compelled to write one after my experience today. My wife and found a listing on their lot that appeared to be perfect for us! We met with Jay, took the vehicle for a test drive and had a great experience.
It’s clear to me that these guys care. Why?
Every car on the lot was *NICE*. Not just the models & years they carry, but the condition of every car was immaculate!
They put a lot into the office, which was a nice surprise. It was well-​decorated for a used car lot. Most places put ZERO thought into the experience and ambiance. These guys did, and even put a movie on for my two rowdy kids so we could make a deal.
In the end, we just didn’t have the budget to stretch and make the purchase, but I was really impressed by these guys, their attitudes and their efforts to make us comfortable.
This is the kind of small business I would LOVE to support and wish these guys the very best. They will be the first I think of when I’m in the market again.

I purchased my mini cooper s from Zak two weeks ago (04÷03÷15) Before I bought it test drove a few that I found on craigslist and 1 at a used car dealer in Santee, all seemed to have issues either 100k+ miles or some type of body work that needed to be fix. I came to Karma cars after my girlfriend and I, saw a Mini parked at there place when we drove by on 163 and decided to call and ask about to make sure it was Cooper S

Talked to Zak about it, then came into test drve it everything was great had about 20k less miles then others I drove and was stick. Which was what I was looking for, only down side is it came in blue was only thing I didnt care for. After the once over and walk around looking for issues we did all the paperwork, got extended warranty. I think we where in and out in less then a hour.
Then on 04÷09÷15 I was visiitng family car died and threw a engine code, figure no prob have warranty so I had it toed to Mini of San Diego had them look at. Turned out it was a harmonic balancer starting to go bad and also bad stage 1 fan switch called warranty company who sent out a guy to check it and to give the okay that it will be covered, turned out they would cover the switch which was roughly $ 800 and not the harmonic balancer, called Zak to see if he could do something. He said no problem he would cover the rest of balancer which ended up being another $ 1,000 and was able to get me in and out the following day after warranty adjuster came.
I was worried about something happening so soon after I got the car but the service adjuster said harmonic balancer seem to go out roughly around the mileage I had just had the bad luck to get car at the right time. But all in all would still go back to karma cars because of how fast I got helped… for my next car… which will still be another mini

Well, either all or most of the reviews here on Unilocal are fake or I must have the worst luck in the world. This is going to be a lengthy review but I will try an keep it at a minimum. I purchased a 2006 BMW Z4 from Karma Cars in October, 2014. Let me mention it here that I traded in my 2001 BMW Z3 that I purchased in September, 2013 and had NO PROBLEMS with it at all. I made a mistake!!!
On the day of the purchase, Zack waited until I and my wife were signing the last line on the last piece of document to mention that the left front headlight was not working (Shiesty); nonetheless he said that he would take care of it. As we started to drive home we realized that the entire assembly was not working no high beams or regular light at all. This was Friday night, we drove home with only once light (risking a ticket). On Monday, per Zack’s instructions I took the vehicle to BMW San Diego, the car stayed there for two days and then I was told that they could fix the issue at a price tag o $ 3,000.00. As soon as this information was relayed to Zack, he called me and stated to take the vehicle to «his people» on Balboa Avenue called Advance Automotive. I did as instructed; they kept the vehicle for three more days and then called me stating that the vehicle was fixed. I went there to pick up the vehicle and the light was working. The very next day it rained and low and behold the same light is out again. Zack told me to take it back to Advance Automotive, I did and a few days later the vehicle was fixed. Once again when I wen to pick up the vehicle the headlight worked fine until the next day when it rained again the light was out.
I then refused to take the vehicle to «Zack’s People» and found another mechanic on Miramar Mall Road who kept the vehicle another four days and FINALLY fixed the issued (this time permanently) at the tune of a mind warping $ 700.00. Zack did make good on this and reimbursed me for the full amount.
Now in December, 2014 the check engine light comes on, took the vehicle to another mechanic off Miramar Road to find out that the THERMOSTAT is bad, I had it repaired to the mind warping tune of $ 592.00.
Now we are in February, 2015 and the steering wheel has been shuddering really bad when breaking at high speeds since purchase (could not pay attention to this before because of all the other issues /​expenses). Dropped it off at another mechanic in Poway and have left it there till Monday to be repaired. It turns out that both the front discs are warped and have to be replaced because they were a cheap after market brand placed on a BMW that were clearly rusted, so I also have to change the break pads; also both bushings on the front axle are cracked that need to be replaced at the astounding cost of $ 863.00 plus I need an alignment at the cost of another $ 169.00.
All you hard working people like myself, please be careful of where you spend your hard earned cash and of what you buy from KARMA CARS. I am not saying that this is going to happen to you as well but IT COULD!!!

They’re very thorough with their sales approach, not trying to bait or lure me, as well as helped me make a deciding factor in purchasing my car for future benefits. These guys great, I’d refer them to anyone looking for a used car.

Great, friendly, and honest customer service. A lot of good looking used cars and they have the car facts for you! I came in on a Friday afternoon wanting to look at their 2008 Toyota Prius. Got to test drive it, got the car facts, did some more research at home. Came in on Monday and ended up purchasing it. Zak was helping me out along the way and never pressured me into buying. These guys are very straight up and willing to work with you. Karma cars was an easy and pleasant experience. They have a variety of cars from Eco, everyday driver, SUV, mid-​size SUV, luxury and even exotic. If you’re looking for a good, good looking car, but not trying to pay that new car price, go here.

I haven’t bought a car hear before but I’ve spoken with owner several times, super honest guy! Unlike most salesman trying to make his commission, he let me know exactly where I would be standing financially if I were to trade my car in. Definite made me rethink my calculations. So instead of getting me to make a somewhat bad financial decision, he laid it out on the table for me.

I am so pleased to leave this review for Zack & J at Karma Cars. My husband and I bought a 2006 Volvo XC90 from them on Saturday. It was a beautiful one owner car with 66,000 original miles and complete Carfax records. The price was well under blue book and they were the nicest, no pressure guys. We immediately drive the Volvo to Laguna for a family function and it was a dream on the freeway. Everything worked like new– cruise control, navigation, automatic windows, a/​c, EVERYTHING. We took it to our mechanic on Tuesday morning for a thorough check, and other than needing an alignment ($ 60), our guy said the car is PERFECT. Thank you, Karma Cars, Zack, and J. I truly appreciate being treated with respect and honesty, as well as offering a great deal on a great car. You’re the best!

Is there an option for no stars? Lol. This place is horrible and made the whole car shopping experience that much more frustrating. I went to look at a car here that was insanely overpriced! I did my research and I did a search for the same car within 500 miles and this was one of the most overpriced cars. It was priced way above Kelly Blue Book Value. I know that used car salesman can be sleezy, but this takes it to a whole new level. The guy I was dealing with guilt tripped and tried every trick in the book. I asked to take the car to my shop and they acted like they were doing me a HUGE favor by letting me take the car there. We tried to negotiate a deal on the car but they hardly budged. Keep in mind that this car was on the lot for almost a year, and I looked it up and it’s still sitting there! If they weren’t so sheisty and willing to work with me, I would have taken the vehicle. But they weren’t. They were dishonest, stubborn, and shady. After telling them that we were going to have to walk away from purchasing the car, the salesman YELLED and CUSSED at my boyfriend and hung up on him. If that’s not terrible customer service, I don’t know what is. I never write Unilocal reviews, but because of my experience with Karma Cars, I felt that others had to know before even wasting their time.
