Our technicians and estimators are experienced glaziers who perform their work in a safe, productive and professional manner. Our lead technicians have decades of experience, and stress the importance of safety and quality. Our field employees are drug-​tested and use only company trucks.

We are members of the Better Business Bureau, Americas Glass Association, and the National Glass Association. We are licensed (including required bonding) and insured. Before you hire a contractor, verify they are licensed and insured.

Our friendly office staff is available to assist you Monday thru Friday, excluding major holidays. Free phone quotations are available for most needs.

History

Established in 1960.

King’s Glass & Screen was founded in 1960 in San Diego, California and has been serving the San Diego Community ever since. King’s prides itself on quality, integrity, competency and competitive pricing, which have helped us maintain our great reputation.

In the early years, King’s specialized in screens. Other services, including glass and mirrors, were added several years later. In the 1980’s commercial glazing was a large part of King’s offerings, as were shower enclosures and specialty glass. Today, King’s thrives on a large variety of residential and commercial glazing as a full-​service glass shop. Whether you need 1 piece of glass or 1000, King’s Glass is there for you. Even though Mr. King has retired, his legacy of helping the San Diego community has continued..

Business Owner

Ken began working in the glass industry with his father over 40 years ago. Through hard work and determination, Ken has become extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of commercial and residential glazing, and is a wonderful resource for the employees and customers of King’s Glass. As a rare San Diego native, Ken supports the local professional sports teams (especially the Chargers and the Padres), many youth sports teams, and has a philanthropic philosophy about the San Diego Community as a whole. Ken and his wife Randi have owned King’s Glass for over a decade, and have been very happy with the warm response from the Community they love. Ken and Randi both enjoy sports, fast cars, spending time with their grandchildren, and participating and sponsoring local events.

I was told that my 4 simple mirrors would be installed the same week as they were measured. After calling and leaving many messages that were not returned and waiting 2 and ½ weeks I finally had an install date, only to have them not show, and not even call. As a general contractor I rely on my subs and vendors to deliver when promised so I can do the same. Kings glass will never get my business again. If you need your project done on time. I would suggest finding a different glass company.

They contacted me through Unilocal,apologized and said they would make it right. They did. They fixed my table at a more than reasonable cost and Everyone was cordial and didn’t act like I was a jerk for complaining here at Unilocal.I was so pleased about the whole thing I’ll be bring some other projects to them again soon.

When I moved in to my new house, someone recommended I get King’s Glass and Screen to put glass on top of the wooden cabinets to protect them. i thought that would be terribly expensive, but I was very satisfied with the price and quality of the glass that was delivered. It’s been almost 10 years and that glass is still holding up great, and the cabinets are pristine. Really a smart idea, I wish I could remember who recommended this and thank them.
A few years later, I asked Randi at King’s Glass & Screen to recommend a screen door for my house. I wanted something retractable for the kitchen door and there were quite a few options available on the market.
She sent a nice fellow out to measure the doorway and estimate costs. Everything went about as smooth as you would want, the door was professionally installed on the day they said they would install it and has worked reliably for several years since.
I used them another time when one of the lifters (balance?) on one of our windows decided to fire itself out of the window frame. Again, a nice guy came out, measured, got the part number off the remaining doodad and ordered something equivalent to repair the window. He had to do some clever vinyl work to make the window look okay as the old balance had cracked some parts of the window frame on its way out. Looks great and is holding up fine months later.
If you need windows or doors installed or repaired, I would recommend them without reservation. I wish all vendors were as professional and predictable as these guys.

I recently purchased a condo. My screens were badly damaged. I took my screens into Kings Glass, and they were very friendly and polite. They took down my measurements and provided me with amazing high-​quality and extremely durable new screens. The New Screens made my house look amazing! I highly recommend anyone to Kings Glass!!!

What a great experience. After doing some online pricing for dining room table glass, I decided to give a local place a try. I submitted an inquiry on their website and received a customized quote within 15 minutes which was about 30% lower then the best price I previously found. Christina was very helpful during the ordering process. We had the glass delivered to our home within 4 business days. The driver was professional and courteous. Best of all the glass fit perfectly and our table looks fantastic. Thanks again!

We needed pricing on a cracked window at our business down the street … some big old dude came out and started yelling at one of our employees about being in his parking lot. Our employee tried to explain what we were there for but the grump just kept yelling. We took our business to Park Place Glass instead. We should have checked Unilocal first!

I seem to only write a review when it is really good or really bad.
Unfortunately, this time it is been a bad experience.
I was told I would have my window done in a couple hours so I brought it here.
I called to check up before they closed and they said it would have to wait to tomorrow.
I couldn’t go without a window in my bedroom overnight so I had hurry back to get the window and now I have to bring it somewhere else.
There are too many good places to waste your time with this place.
I took a gamble this palce that has 2.5 stars and lost.

Great work. I brought in my window that I stupidly broke, and they repaired it that same day and it was only like 60 bucks.
Luckily it was the one that comes out easily and not the fixed side.
It seems like a lot of the people that are writing negative reviews are complaining that they aren’t getting update calls, well guess what — very few companies do this.
Anyway, maybe just got lucky, but I’m happy with the service and product.

The lady in reception (Christine), was extremely helpful when I needed a piece of glass to replace a bathroom window my son broke with a ball. She checked with the guys in the back and got my glass cut quickly. I was able to get the window repaired and back in place before he even got home from school.

I called at 8 am for a quote to replace broken glass in a sliding door. They quoted me a great price and advised they would be out between 10 – 12. They arrived right at 10:00.
The only problem was that they ended up needing to send out a second guy because of the size of the door. Initially they wanted to charge me a trip charge for the second guy. After discussing the issue with the manager he honored the original price quote. The second guy arrived quickly and they were done fast.
Overall a good experience even with the small issue.

Well my excpericne with them was just fine. Though it was a small job as I needed some shelves cut for my small corner china cabinet. I called around for quotes and these guys were the cheapest. Three for $ 75 in ¼″ thick trapezoid shape. In tempered glass no less. That is a steal considering one place in national city said that much for just one!

I really liked the service, but the handle on our new shower was not straight and had 3 little dents in it. Called them that night after the install and when they returned the call, said they would order a new handle to replace the one with dents and come out to straighten the handle. When they came out to replace/​straighten, the handle still ended up not straight. Was blamed on the manufacturer of the handle, but I think it was the screws on the handle NOT being replaced were crooked and not the handles themselves. So our interior handle on the shower is not straight, but it’s hard to tell from outside the shower.

Called to get an estimate and spoke with Dana. She made it sound as if they are too busy to take on my job. When I said, «Okay, sounds like you’re too busy, I can try someone else. Thank you!» she hung up on me without an «okay» or «bye» or anything. I will never work with King’s Glass based on her attitude.

Called about a window change-​out, after receiving the replacement from the mfr. on Oct. 31st. The estimate was fair and the office staff friendly and pleasant. When I called back to inquire about bringing the old and new windows in, the price was considerably less. Took in both today (11−02−12) in the AM and received a call to pick it up at 4 PM. Cost was even less at check-​out and the window is back in place and looks great. Have only good things to say about the entire experience — good price, good work and friendly, professional employees. Will recommend them to friends.

if you are looking for new windows look somewhere else. My experiance was bad from the begining. I even tried to get ahold of management to see what was going on and if i was speaking to management they sure did not make me feel special by any means.

I called these guys for a broken window after Park Place Glass fell through.
They did the job fine. They came by within the allotted hours they gave me, they gave me a fair price, they didn’t jack up the price after the part came in.
They need to work on their customer service skills. My part took longer than expected to arrive, but they never let me know. Instead, I had to continually call in and check where it was. The service wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good either. There were never any smiles, never a ‘have a nice day.’ As if I was an annoyance to them and they were doing me a favor by providing the service. You could have told me they were all ex-​DMV employees and I would believe you.
