Miramar Glass was founded in 1988 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Mirror Shower & Glass in 2008. The office on Commerce St has been closed and the operation merged with Mirror Shower & Glass at 6340 Riverdale St near Friars & Mission Gorge. Miramar Glass is a full service shop offering both residential and commercial glass work to the public sector, commercial contractors, the military, Federal, State and local governments. Zane Overton is the General Mgr of Miramar Glass and has been with the company for 9 years and formerly was an employee of Mirror Shower & Glass. We look forward to serving your needs

History

Established in 1988.

Miramar Glass was founded in 1988 by Bill Johns the former owner of American Glass. Bill Johns was succeeded by his son David in 1998, who ran the company with Zane Overton their General Mgr. Davids’ untimely passing in 2006 ultimately resulted in the acquisition by Mirror Shower & Glass in 2008. The companies primary focus was on mid sized commercial contracts as noted in their work at Coronado HS and with various military and government agencies in San Diego.

Meet the Manager

Zane O.

Manager

Zane Overton served honorably in the Navy and upon his discharge in 1993 began work in the glass industry. He has a successful history of installing, managing and overseeing commercial work. He spent nine years at Miramar Glass, finishing as their General Manger. He was instrumental in the smooth transition involved in their acquisition by Mirror Shower & Glass. He is now in charge of Miramar’s continued commercial efforsts as well as the new companyy’s primary liason with local government and the military. He is cuirrently enrolled as a student at SDSU seeking his Bachelors degree.
