La Jolla Park West

I’ve been a resident for almost a year and I opened this Unilocal account just to comment on what a great place this is. The layout of the apartment is good with great high ceilings and a nice patio. The facility is well kept and the management is helpful and courteous. This place has exceeded all of our expectations.

I love where I live! La Jolla Park West is super clean, the air is fresh, parking is amazing, and the management (Lupita and Jose) are top notch.
I have had such a wonderful experience living here so far, and if there was more availability, I would try to get all my friends to move into the quaint complex too! Truly a breath of fresh air in UTC!

If you want to pay to live in a prison, this is your place. The manager is incredibly rude and has absolutely no personal skills whatsoever. The apartments are very outdated and overpriced, especially considering the area. There are many nicer apartment complexes in La Jolla /​UTC — this one is not one of them. In short, there are many ludicrous rules about living in this complex and as others have stated, the manager does harass you. Having parents/​family/​friends wanting to come over? Better give a detailed notice of who’s coming, how long they’re staying, etc, all while being treated like a criminal. Also, this place does have a pest problem with Bed Bugs and Roaches (I overheard many people complaining to management).

My husband and I have lived here for over a year. We are in early 50’s and WE LOVE THIS PLACE! First of all all the bad reviews are probably from young or selfish people who were wanting to break the rules and always have things to be in there favor. Lupita the Manager here is simply AWESOME, PROFESSIONAL and very COMPASSIONATE and will help you if she CAN! She always gets things DONE! And for those negative selfish people who wrote about the children not being able to play and the negative line about cars IS BULL ! Our SECURITY here is ON POINT! The Maintenance Man is SUPER! We just got ENERGY EFFICIENT Lights for the Patio, Dining Area & Bathrooms. We also got a Water shut off Valve for the shower heads to help conserve the water due to the water shortage in California. THIS PLACE ROCKS if you want to live close to UTC mall and all the best shopping, entertainment and freeway access. If you respect where you live including the management, maintenance and neighbors then your living experience anywhere will be BLISSFUL!

These apartments are great. They’re very spacious and well maintained. The management is fantastic. They’re super friendly and helpful! Also, the price is is pretty low for the area.

Visitors staying with tenants have to give a notice to the management otherwise she will come to your door and harass you for having visitors without her knowing. The maintenance guy lives on site and polices the place which is very unconfortable and ot outdoor pets or smoking anywhere on the outside grounds.

I stayed in this apartment with my college roommate and it was wonderful. The apartment was spacious and had plenty of light. The rent wasn’t greatly priced, but reasonable for a 2 bedroom. We each got our own bathroom (which I appreciated). Nothing ever happened to my car or my apartment. If there was ever a problem, maintenance came and fixed it right away. Also, the complex is very quiet. Even though it is on Genesee Avenue, I could hardly hear the cars.
