Law Offices of E John Damasco

I was referred to the Law Offices of John Damasco by legal plan through my work. I needed help to understand and resolve issues with the apartment management who had been lately feeling very generous with the legal notices pasting on my apartment door. They had a policy to not to allow kids in parking lot. But every time my kids were out riding their bikes through the apartment parking lot, even to outside park or towards the street, I got a note stating that we are in violation of lease. More about that in a different review — this review is about the Law Offices of Mr. Damasco.
I called their office and left a VM. I never got a chance to talk to Mr Damasco. Associate Attorney Mr. Michael Juarez from the Law office returned my call same day. He was very respectful and gave me a few pointers on the phone. After that one phone call, rest of our communication was on email. I had sent him lease terms and he helped write a nice response to the apartment management.
I am new to using legal process and understanding related laws, and even newer to using the legal plan provided by my work. I had felt that if the response had directly gone from Attorney’s office, it would have made even better impact. But it was never offered by the law office and I never asked.
In the end, Mr Juarez advised me about leaving the apartment and going elsewhere, which I took into consideration. I think it was a good advice — rather than butting head with the idiot manager, it is better to live where I and my kids can find some peace.

First off, they are great as they immediately helped me after my Hyatt Group Legal referred me to their office. Second, they have handled everything via Internet and one phone call as compared to other attorneys requiring a physical meeting. Third, Michael Juarez, has successfully helped me on four different cases getting results my family and I needed. All cases weren’t the most serious offenses, but received top notch service. This is a great firm and I will suggest them to anyone that requires legal service.

Pretty mediocre as attorneys go. Was unable to even get a simple moving violation reduced, much less dismissed as most capable attorneys are usually capable of doing, especially for good drivers. I doubt I would call them if I ever need assistance with a more serious legal matter.

John and his colleague Michael Juarez provided me with excellent service recently. After receiving 2 traffic tickets in about a month, it was crucial for me have one dismissed to prevent higher insurance rates. Michael represented me in traffic court to fight a flawed failed to STOP traffic citation issued by SDPD OFFICER ROODE at the corner of San Ysidro Blvd. and Alverson Rd. It was a great adrenaline rush as Michael efficiently cross examined officer Roode which resulted in my citation being dismissed. Great Job Michael and also great job John for assigning him to me. John also provided me with great family law legal advice about a year ago. I highly recommend these guys if you like kicking ass at court!!!

I was going through a hectic divorce with my small children and Mr. Damasco was not only helpful and patient but he also was very professional with all of the issues I had with my ex-​husband. He explained the legal language in simpler terms so it was easier to understand. He even got me spousal and child support sufficient enough that I could support my family. Overall, I would recommend him to my friends and family because I know they would be in good hands.

I had a horrible couple months of luck with traffic tickets. No need to go into too much detail, but let’s just say that waiting for someone to leave to grab their parking spot is not obstructing traffic! Glad to have worked with John — got all 3 of my tickets fixed. Nice guy too, and has good people working for him as well. What more do you need?

I had a BIG ticket with the US District Superior court and thought it would be smart to hire a lawyer. My prepaid legal plan reffered me to John and he took ownership of my case right away. He got my liscence re-​instated and knocked off $ 200 from my fine! Recently, I had an issue with a bad landlord and returned to John again for my case. He has taken care of everything from filing and will show in court for me if needed. Awesome! I recommend him to everyone now.

I have been referred to this guy twice by a Lawyer referral program and both times have had the same results. His receptionist listens to your case then says he’ll call back that day. He never returns calls. I had two fairly small items that ultimately were taken by other Lawyers who thought the case was legit.
Apparently this guy only returns calls if he thinks it’s worth it.
I ended up waiting for a call back for a week until finally going elsewhere.
