Little Fish is hands down the best comic book studio in San Diego! My son has been taking classes with Alonso for about a year now and absolutely loves it! He has learned so much and his appreciation and understanding of art has really blossomed. Alonso is an excellent teacher, and his enthusiasm and skill make for a wonderful learning environment. I highly recommend Little Fish!

After years of writing comic book stories and getting nowhere I was convinced my writing was a hobby. It wasn’t until recently, with incouragement of others, that I am now doing things with my writing, and what better time. With the addition of Little Fish Comic Book Studio in my life I am finally seeing positive results. I see great thiings coming from Little Fish, there is so much posability here.

if you want to learn how make comics, an have someone not only guide you though the process, but give you an honest evaluation, then littlefish studios is for you. Patrick an Alonso, have crafted a learning enviormrnt that inspires creativity, and changes with the needs of the students. never in all my years have i found any comic publisher, or art school willing to go so far to teach you what you need to to know. no where. the great thing, you do not have to go to New York, or L.A., they are right here in San Diego, capitol of the comic con.

As far as I know I don’t think you can get something this cool in San Diego? Let me qualify this. Little Fish comic book studios is basically an art school to learn the in’s and out’s of comic book writing and illustration. But it’s more than that, because let’s say that if you are already an amateur comic book artist/​writer they will work with you to publish it via online or in print. So you can also say they are an indy publisher. The founders Alonso and Patrick work on comics of their own and are super cool/​nice. Let’s face it, comic book stores, fans, and creators are not so mild manner and can often be caustic and put most people off. Alonso and Patrick are down to earth and are good people. They will drop some knowledge on you while supporting your artistic ideas. And for you hard core comic readers/​fans, these guys know their stuff so don’t think these guys are catching a wave of comic book popularity in the recent years. This also goes out to hard core comic fans: we are quick to judge writers/​artists abilities when we read the medium. Let me ask you something, why don’t you try making a comic book yourself big boy? When you decide to get off of your keyster and do something creative and fulfilling instead of living vicariously in the new 52 or marvelverse come talk to me about why you prefer Steve Ditko over Mcfarlane. Now let me also ask you just 2 questions: where can you go in San Diego to learn how to make a comic book and where can you go if you want to publish it? Answer to both: Little Fish comic book studio.
