History

Established in 2012.

Little Fish Comic Book Studio was started by Alonso Nunez and Patrick Yurick in the spring of 2012. They anticipated the growing number of comic writers, artists and enthusiasts who would want a dynamic learning environment in which instruction is tailored to student passions and new ideas and modes of comic creation are strongly encouraged.

Little Fish opened its doors in September 2012 at the intersection of Point Loma and Ocean Beach.

Business Owner

Alonso received his BFA in Comic Art (Cartooning) from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2008. He lives in San Diego with his family and extensive comic collection.

Passionate about teaching and creating art of all kinds, he’s as likely to be taking in a new showing at the San Diego Museum of Art as he is to be debating the merits of late 1970’s Spider-Man.
