The Live and Let Live Alano Club (LLLAC) is our final stretch of its Matching Grant partnership campaign with the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation (SDHDF). The SDHDF has generously offered to match EVERY DONATION up to $ 500 that the (LLLAC) receives from our committed supporters as we currently receive no taxpayer support. Our Sober center is volunteer driven without full-​time employees.
For 32 years the Live and Let Live Alano Club has operated as a nonprofit 501© organization. Live and Let Live Alano Club is the 4^th oldest Sober Community Center in the country. We provide meeting space to 40,000 participants annually with over 40 weekly Twelve-​step recovery meetings. The variety of meetings includes alcohol, drugs, co-​dependency, nicotine and the list goes on. In addition we produce dozens of clean and sober events throughout the year. This organization supports all members of the community with extended services for difficult challenges such as disabilities, HIV/​Aids and homelessness.
Sober alternative events through the holidays, referrals to community long term sobriety programs and to keeping Alano club doors open 365 days a year.

I found this ad on Craigslist looking for «Ugly Sweaters» for our «Ugly Sweater Christmas Party». Prior to searching on CL I was browsing on Ebay & most of the ugly sweaters were going for $ 30 – 80 a piece.
I’m so glad I found this place and the guy who makes the sweaters is a sweet, kind hearted man. He is a member of AA & has been sober 7 years. He created this company on his own, pretty cool. You can tell he’s not «in it» for the money but it’s something he is passionate about.
It’s in the middle of an AA meeting hall & you have to be quiet cause they are usually in the middle of meetings. Anyhow, I walked in and found 2 super awesome sweaters for my husband and I for $ 25 a piece. He was very sweet and added additional embellishments on our sweaters. Anyhow, another great find on Craigslist! Nothing wrong with being a frugal shopper & finding treasures along the way. Awesome place for someone in recovery. They are always open to the newcomer. This meeting space also hosts many many meetings every day of the week.

I have never been to an Alano Club before my first visit yesterday, so this one is setting the standard.
A friend needed to purchase a Token for his sponsor, the staff was so friendly, kind and welcoming.
I actually returned that night for a meeting and I was overwhelmed by how nice and genuine the atmosphere was.
Too bad I am not an alcoholic, but if I was I would come back!
