History
Established in 1984.
Townspeople buys, rehabs and builds properties that serve the needs of low-income people with health problems and disabilities like HIV/AIDS.
We help transform a life with supportive apartment living. We have provided housing for more than 500 people in the last several years. On a regular basis we house 200 or more people each year.
On-site management, resident support services and case management are available to all of our residents along with food and nutritional service on-site. Our services, staff and our network of property managers and landlords have helped more than 5,000 people find safe, stable housing over the last 5 years.
For every person housed, we save society about $ 1,200 per month. We prevent HIV disease from spreading. We are a model of small business growth solving societal issues along the way. Through our construction, rehab and property management programs we generate additional jobs in construction, management and support services.
