The salsa has a big kick on Saturday nights here! It’s great to pick up some Mex if you are in the area — my «go-to» are the pollo asado mini-tacos with the fresh salsa on the side(or get it at the salsa bar)! Always nice service too.

These people do not know the difference between Fish or Chicken. I ordered 5 fish rolled tacos, and I got 5 beef, so I went back to the location and she said she thought I said beef, so I waited for them to attempt again. I again take the order back to my car, but this time I check them. They are chicken, so I go right back in and explain I wanted fish rolled tacos and they INSISTED that they gave me fish. I told them it’s chicken and they got all crazy. Avoid these lames…

I actually enjoy the food here, but the customer service has become terrible. We were snapped at by the person taking orders from the drive thru for asking if they still had the Ranch chicken burrito and then again for taking a moment to decide on what to order. They were impatient and rude. Not to mention, the staff was alI hanging out on their phones and ignoring the other customers. I will not be returning to this location.

I Personally find this place over priced and the food is gross… But my husband does his own thing. So this morning he went and ordered 2 steak and egg burritos one for him and one for my step son. Afterwards he was in the bathroom all day sick to his stomach. When my step son got home from school he was complaining of being sick to his stomach too. So my husband called Los Ponchos to let them know they should check their meat. They basically didn’t care and said they have their meat delivered fresh daily. Point of the story is unless you want food poisoning DONOTEATTHERE!

Disappointing! I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. The adobada burrito had very little flavor and had grease dripping out of it after 2 bites. I only ate about 2⁄3 of it(and I rarely throw away food.) I tried 4 of the 5 salsas at the salsa bar. The salsa fresca was ok. One of the red sauces tasted like tomato paste. The other one was just HOT, but didn’t taste good. You get free chips and a cup of beans if you dine-in. I enjoyed the beans, however the chips were not fresh and we’re obviously store bought. They also charge a $.35 service fee if you pay by debit/credit card, which irritates me.

I’ve been here a few times and each time was not the best experience. The final time that put me over the edge to never come back was when I pulled up apparently after they closed, but they still had all of their lights on and looked open. I sat at the drive through speaker box for a few minutes until someone finally told me they were closed in a very rude tone. How about turning your outside lights off and THEN counting the money… I’ve also gotten sick after eating here. And I’ve also sat at the window for 15 – 20 minutes waiting for my food to be cooked. No wonder every time I drive by I see no customers. Driving the extra mile down the street to Sombreros or Taco Fietsa is definitely worth it!

Worse taco shop ever! Order 4 roll tacos and only one had cheese on it. Carne Asada burrito was disgusting! Everything was nasty over all! Never had a taco shop this bad

I’m giving it two stars because I’ve had worse at other places. I should’ve listened to all the negative reviews but I was craving a surf & turf burrito. I searched Unilocal and this was the only taco shop near by that had a surf & turf on their menu. When I got to the drive thru and I noticed that they had a shrimp Diablo burrito which I’ve had before somewhere else. I decided to give it a try and let me telllll you. ITIS S P I C Y! I usually love all my food really spicy but this burrito was like trying to eat a habanero pepper. So I’m writing this review to warn others lol. I ended up just picking the shrimp out and left everything else to waste it definitely wasn’t the type I’ve had before. My fiancé ended up getting the surf and turf. It’s a great size but very leaky! He rated it 3 stars but from the bite I took I would rate it a 2. As far as customer service… It’s what I expected but I can see how others might take it as rude. I had high expectations for this place probably because I was hungry and had a particular craving but I wouldn’t recommend this place.

This place used to be decent, but it’s absolutely disgusting, low grade food now. We went through the drive through and when we got our food, it was so disgusting, we tossed it out and didn’t even eat it. I’ve posted some pictures of the food so you could see. The meat was all fat, tendon and arteries. So low grade, that it’s probably the meat used in low grade dog food. It just was that bad! Disgusting! I don’t know how they can justify serving that bad of food to people.

I hate when the prices are not right on the board. I was charged $ 7.95 for something that was $ 6.95. The lady could care less and said oh well. I still have never had bad food here.

We showed up 30 mins before closing time. Our order included fried food. After a 15 minute wait at the window, I asked what the hold up was. The cashier told me they were changing the oil, and it would be a few more minutes. I didnt want to wait for soggy tacos, so I left. Do this AFTER closing, not before. Poor management, and bad food in general. Go to El Rodeo across the street. No drive thru, but you will thank me later.

I have come here several times now. The food has always been good for me, and they have really good rolled tacos, perfectly fried. The have a large selection menu, with some very creative burritos. They also have a good salsa bar, and dine in orders come with chips. There is also a drive through that is fast and convienient. Overall I have not had any bad experiences here. I do think they should remodel the seating area and bathrooms and then I would give it a perfect 5 star review. They are also open very late, like into the morning on some days.

Avoid at all costs. I would have probably given 2 stars, but then there was a chunk of broken plastic in my burrito.

Ok I just had lunch here despite the atrocious reviews which are pretty accurate. I can’t give them anything less than 4 stars because they have Fish Rolled tacos that are a great invention! They are crunchy hot and topped with creamy tartar sauce and salsa… Please judge for yourself you might be in for a pleasant surprise.

I’m sitting in drive thru waiting for my food I haven’t even tasted the food and this server is the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with at any place. This is my first time coming here and I would never ever come here again. I could be starving and they were giving away free food and I still wouldn’t come here. Every time I ordered an item which I ordered alot for my family and another family. She was rude saying«anything else» Even before I was done speaking. I’m in awe at the lack of customer service she had. Like WOW! I’m sorry but mexican girls like this give us nice decent and respectful Mexicans a bad name because I wasn’t rude and I’m sorry I asked questions but I’ve never been here. Please go down to whatever next tacoshop there is and don’t waste ur money on these rude people.

I go here from time to time, mostly because they have a drive thru and it’s an easy stop on the way home. The food is good. The service is not so good. I can’t remember the last time my order was correct, at least when asking for some slight modification, e.g. no mayo, add salsa fresca, etc. I only get takeout from here. If you sit inside, you get the privilege of listening to the cooks hoot and holler and curse in Spanish. If you want to sit down for good Mexican food, try El Rodeo across the street.

We’ve been here a few times. Sometimes it’s really good, other times it’s been okay. Yesterday is what gets this review and the fact that we won’t give it another shot. My husband and I walked in to order dinner. We always used the drive through before. It’s true what others say– the drive through line takes a long time and they have a hard time understanding English sometimes through the speaker. I asked the lady at the register what they normally put on their carne asada street tacos. The girl told me onion, cilantro, and guac. Sounded fine. I ordered the three pack, and three fish tacos for my son, a carne asada burrito for my husband, and a 5 pack of rolled tacos for my daughter. There was a surcharge for using a credit card(not just like under $ 10), which is actually illegal in California.( ). What they should do is work the fee into their pricing and then have a discount for people paying cash. Then we decided the street tacos were all pretty small and since we have a teenaged boy, ordered 3 more carne asada tacos, paid for in cash. After the girl took our order and our money, she turned around to another counter and began chopping up a cucumber on a plastic food tray. She did not wash her hands to handle the cucumber, though she’d been touching cash and the register. The other girl who was working the drive through also did the same thing. I was taught to wash your hands after using the register or handling cash since these things carry a lot of germs. In fact, you’re supposed to wash your hands before you handle ANY food, no matter what you’ve been doing. They put our orders into a bag. My husband was watching intently so I was not. When we got home, I discovered they did not give us the extra order of carne asada tacos. My husband presumed they were in one of the containers where they weren’t(lesson: always check containers. Some were foil covered so it would’ve ruined the seal if we’d pried it off, though). The carne asada tacos they gave us were covered in salsa verde. Yep, I’m a lightweight with spicy food, but vinegary spicy food actually tears up my mouth and makes my stomach hurt, so it’s not just a random preference– it actually is painful. Which is why I asked what they put on the tacos before I ordered them(it’s not listed on the menu). So husband went back. I called them up and explained we hadn’t gotten the second order and my husband was heading back. She said they’d be ready. I asked her to hold the salsa verde. The food was just okay. It was filling. We’re all alive and well this morning.

Super unprofessional staff, the lady that took my order was just short of rude and I don’t appreciate the fact that I had to repeat my order 3 times before she finally got that I wanted Carne Asada nachos with just cheese and meat not that difficult of an order

I feel their current 2.5 star rating is appropriate. I’ve been coming here off and on for several years out of convenience. The staff have always been pleasant. Drive thru or dine in the service is good all around. Like most of my other drive thru Mexican shop ventures I typically will start off with a carna asada burrito. This should always be a staple in a taco shops menu. Not so much here. At first glance the burrito is promising and average in size. First bite… ok, tortilla is good. Second bite… meat is extremely chewy and low grade. Third bite… was full of guacamole, onions and cilantro that tasted like a funky refrigerator. Only good thing going on was the tortilla. This isn’t just one experience but MANY. Why do I keep subjecting myself to mediocre food? There might be some other items on the menu that are good to some people but I haven’t found them. I’ve had rolled tacos, beef tacos and obviously the burritos and if you can’t get those right I won’t venture too far into the menu.
