What makes this donut shop different from the others in town are the freshly fried eggs! Yes, they really fry an egg on the griddle! Some may think while reading this, «Is she bonkers? How else do they cook their eggs?» Well, I’ll tell you! It’s called a microwave! The donuts here are delicious, soft and fluffy.(Is fluffy an appropriate word to describe a donut with?) Lucky Donuts and Deli is very room and they have other goodies here too, like Yan-yan, chips, coffee and other Asian novelties.

My boyfriend and I have a routine of stopping by this donut shop every Saturday morning. «Saturday morning donut runs» is something we look forward to very much! The sweets and coffees here are delicious, and the owner of this place is super kind and welcoming. Even when we have a busy day ahead of us or have family and friends in town, we still stop by in the morning and bring extras back for everyone. Absolutely recommend the blueberry donut holes! And the sandwiches are great as well!

This place is dangerously close to me. Love that blueberry cake and red velvet donut hole and bavarian cream donut. And if you happen to also want some fun cup noodle flavors, they have those too.

The donuts are great, cheap, and the very sweet lady and man who work there always throw in a few extra donut holes to my order! I find myself wanting to come back just to see them again and give them my service because they are so kind and adorable.

Drove by and saw the grand opening sign so I decided to exit and stop by for a quick sandwich. The gentlemen who assisted my boyfriend and I was welcoming! We both ordered the ham, cheese, egg croissant and he made it fresh. We ordered one chocolate sprinkle donut and he was sweet and tossed in a few donut holes(Red velvet, blueberry and glazed)! The donuts were soft and fresh as well so we weren’t complaining!

Went here last night around 8:00pm, so I was a little worried about going here so late & if the donuts would be fresh. Well, luckily & to much surprise, the donuts were great & tasty! I bought a dozen donuts holes(red velvet, blueberry, & chocolate) &2 donuts(double chocolate & glaze) & a snapple drink all for $ 5.16. Price wasn’t bad at all! But FYI, I had to spend at least $ 5 to use my debit card. So bring cash, or be prepared to spend more than $ 5 Again the donuts were so good & had just the right amount of sweetness :) Also the lady running the store was so very sweet. Being that I’m new in town, it’s good to come across good food places along with great service :)))))

Great little place. It’s still open, despite what the other review says. It’s easy to miss — when you’re driving eastbound on Mira Mesa, it’s in the tiny parking lot right before you hit the CVS/Home Depot lot. You can easily park by the CVS and walk back to the donut shop. The donuts are EXCELLENT and the owners are very kind and sweet. I buy a dozen and they’ve always tossed in a little something extra, whether an extra donut or a few donut holes. They’re friendly and appreciate their customers.

Closed. Their location on the other side of the freeway is open, but his place seems to be indefinitely closed. The other location of Lucky donuts isn’t that great, they mainly have donut holes, and plain donuts. Keep driving.

It was okay, but they look like they have closed, as the sign directors you too a different location.

This doesn’t compare to Union Square Donuts back in Boston, but the French Crueller I ate was light and sweet, and about on par with a French Crueller from trusty Dunkin Donuts. Be careful — I ordered a hazelnut latte and I got a coffee-flavored frappé. It was good, but more than I bargained for. It does say«frappé» on the menu, but I thought that maybe Californians thought«frappé» equated with«latte.» My mistake!

Stopped by to grab a quick snack before hitting the freeway. The donut shop is located right off the 15 freeway, which is a huge plus because we’re always on the go. The shopped open about 2 weeks ago. It’s very clean and roomy. We ordered a dozen donut holes, it was delish! They have red velvet, blueberry, glaze, chocolate, plain and many more choices to choose from. We have only tried donut holes in glaze, so we were beyond stoked to have them in other flavors. The red velvet, blueberry, and glaze was our favorite. They’re not too sweet which is why we love them. We love them even more because it was only $ 2.15 a dozen! The sweet owner also tossed in a few extra donut holes for us. We had a chance to talk to him and he seems super friendly and sweet. We will definitely be coming back for more, and we hope business picks up for the owners as well.

I ordered a sandwich here for lunch the other day. It had way more meat than I expected, which combined with the drink+donut combo(also really inexpensive considering) meant I had to save half of the sandwich for later. They even talked me out of the tortilla wrap because the tortillas weren’t fresh that day. I really appreciate the honesty. –1 star unfortunately because they need more training when it comes to taking credit cards. The guy at the counter cancelled the transaction when my chip and PIN card asked for a PIN and I wasn’t allowed to enter it(had to use a different card instead). This feels like extreme nitpicking considering that the food and the rest of my experience was great, but people need to know that this could be a problem especially for people visiting the US. All in all I still recommend this place. Bring cash though just in case.

I am a maple bar junkie. I always have to try them at every new donut shop. Just finished a maple bar here and I gotta say it was yummy! Not superb but I might have really high standards for my maple bars. On the other hand their blueberry cake donut is divine ! I highly recommend it although Donut Stop across the street will be my all time favorite.
