great place — NEVER had a bad cut there.
I read one or two bad reviews — I think it was a dissatisfied groomer (who didn’t part ways very professional like) — circa 2012 — before Will showed up. Will is AWESOME — he does my dogs head so cute and the other dog gets a great brushing out and turns white every time! I am not very consistent on the grooming appointments so sometimes, there is matting but Will ALWAYS makes sure the dog is not shaved unless he judges it too much matting for dog’s comfort (I’ve always agreed his judgment)
One of my dogs behaves anxiously when he can’t see me — after the second time to Maggie’s he’s mellowed considerably when I leave him; I know they treat him well. Never had a shaved nipple or cut ear either (since 2008). Thank you Will and Kirsten!

I have a Maine Coon cat who was very messy from our housing construction. She is very sensitive and anxious. Kristen did a great job cleaning her up and getting rid of her mats. She is so happy now! Thanks so much…

I can’t say enough good things about Maggie’s Farm and how well they’ve treated my dog. I bring her to Will every few months in her latest state of disaster and he does such an excellent job cleaning her up!
Since bringing her to Maggie’s Farm a couple years ago I haven’t stopped receiving compliments on how good she looks — what I like most about Will is that he places my dog’s comfort and well being above all else; the way he treats her and interacts with her makes me feel perfectly comfortable leaving her while I go about my business.
While I don’t go for typical designer cuts, I love the way Will manages to capture my dog’s personality in her latest trim. She always comes home so much happier and perkier, and I can tell she feels better and refreshed from her experience at Maggie’s Farm.

As a client of Maggie’s Farm for over 2 years, I’ve never had a less than stellar experience. I drive an hour to take my Golden Doodle to Will on a regular basis, and not only does he have a great relationship with her, but she always leaves clean, tidy, happy, and more relaxed (because she’s more comfortable). Will has done everything from small maintenance trims to big cuts, and on occasion, even buzzed my dog down (at my request) when she really needed it due to excessive ocean swimming. Will’s cuts ALWAYS grow out beautifully and I consistently get compliments on how great my dog looks!
As a long term customer who constantly uses Maggie’s Farm, I couldn’t be happier — Will pays such close attention to my requests and is so reliably fantastic, I can relax knowing my dog is in great hands and will be fully taken care of.
These guys are without a doubt the best groomers I’ve ever come across and I highly recommend Maggie’s Farm to anyone looking for a reliable groomer who takes both your requests and the comfort of your puppy into consideration [while delivering professional cuts at reasonable prices, no less].
Booking Tip: If you want your dog in and out at preferred times, make sure to book at least a week in advance and drop your dogs off in the morning when they open, as that’s normal policy and common courtesy (for any groomer).

Everybody at Maggie’s Farm is so wonderful. They are so kind and gentle with the dogs and they do such a great job grooming our little doxie.

A few of my friends recommended Maggie’s Farm, so we decided to try it out. I’ve brought my Labradoodle puppy there twice so far, and both times Will did such a terrific job. When I mentioned my friends’ dogs, he knew exactly who they were, meaning he remembers his customers which is great. My puppy doesn’t mind going, and in fact she fell in love with Will and didn’t even want to leave! He gave her a beautiful haircut and covered all the grooming basics. We plan to go on a regular basis.

New in the area so using Unilocal I choose Maggie’s for my two standards poodles. Nice people but I wouldn’t recommend Will as a groomer. Details are not his thing, forgot to clean ears or clip nails. The dogs ears were not cut even so he just kept trying to even things up by continuing to cut down from the top of the ear. Yea it’s just hair but my 12 year old poodle doesn’t have too many years for her chopped spots to grow out. Really disappointed, I called to ask what happened and heard Will is new and must have been having a bad day. Yes they offered to clip the nails and clean the ears but I drove a ways to get there and already paid them 180 bucks for two standard poodle grooms. I’ll find somewhere else, suggest you do too.

I took my two terriers in to Maggie’s farm, and she treated them like the celebrities they believe themselves to be. Maggie is very personable, and great with the dogs that she grooms. She also avoids using chemicals, and takes an all natural approach to dog grooming, which is important to me. I have only good things to say about her, and am very pleased with her service and care.

I needed to find a place to groom my recently adopted miniature schnauzer and was wary of all the chain type of stores. I saw a woman with a perfectly groomed schnauzer and she recommended Maggie’s Farm. I’m so glad I saw her! Kristin did a great job on my dogby (dog baby, naturally) and her haircut came out exactly how we wanted. We will definitely be back for all of our future dogby haircuts!

Maggie’s did a great job on Fenway’s cut and was much friendlier and patient with him than some of the other places we’ve been. The parking lot was a bit of a hassle, but all in all a great spot if you’re anywhere near the beach towns.

Called this morning and was able to set up an appointment to get my westie groomed immediately. They did an amazing job and I could really tell Kenna felt comfortable with them. Super pleased with the great breed cut she got. They definitely know what they are doing. I will for sure go back.

I only take my dog in to get her nails clipped, but they do a great job. My dog is extremely afraid of her nails being clipped but they were very friendly and understanding. The service is great!

We took our mixed breed dog with thick, long hair to Maggie’s. Our instructions were to keep the integrity of the dog breed and groom her. When we came to pick her up, to our horror, our dog was completely shaved to an 1/​8″ all over her body except for a tuft of hair on the end of her tail. They had our phone number but did not think it was necessary to call us before doing this to our dog. The groomer told us not to laugh at her and that she needed a sweater. No one was laughing. Our dog is very unhappy, as are we. They gave us a discount and «only» charged us $ 60.00! Our dog is 12 and this is the only groomer that has ever done anything so drastic and horrible. If you love your baby as much as we love ours, you should take them to someone who knows their profession.

I could not believe the customer service that was given to me when I just came in. I called five minutes after they had closed and asked for a nail clipping and it was urgent because his nails were far too long and causing him pain. They told me to come on down and it was raining and about a 10 minute drive. I have never had this kind of customer service and I would suggest that just about everyone in the Point Loma take their pet here for any grooming, food, etc.

I’ve been taking my Yorkie here for over 2 years. They have always been great, taken good care of my little doggie, and made her look and smell great.

You won’t go wrong with Maggie’s Farm. The owner is not only a professional groomer — but shows her dogs in competition. She really knows what she is doing. They can groom for show or just to keep your pet looking and feeling good. It is clear that they know my dog’s breed and how to take care of her.

We love Maggie’s Farm! The owner and her staff are amazing. They are concerned about the dogs and do a great job. My dogs love to go there.

We have been taking our dogs there since 2001. Some places, yes — are cheaper — but Maggie’s Pet Farm is worth the price! The staff truly love dogs and they take such good care of them. The dogs always look fantastic, and groomers never give me hassle about the condition of them when I bring them in (unlike other places). Most importantly, my dogs love Kristen and the crew there — they even deal with my little male dog who tries to snip at them… with love of course! BEST and ONLY place to take your «best friend» for grooming.
